  • A peaceful death.

  • La seule chanson qui me rend triste et heureux à la fois ! #JocondeMusiquale

  • Also don't forget Cliff Martinez's Solaris soundtrack

  • I love this film. Alongside District 9 and Star Trek in 2009, they were my favorite sci-fi flicks that year. Moon had to be at the top, followed by district 9. Shame that Avatar got all the glory.

  • A movie we all needed in the days with stupid remakes, when most great Directors headed into commercial profits only, Amazing piece of soudtrack by the genius Clint Mansell, Thank you...

  • Absolutely brilliant fantastic superb song and album. this music fits the film down to the ground so emotional and deep and it just makes you pause for a minute to think about what your doing with your life. Mesmerising.

  • kind of madness of human instincts

the movie Moon is a true description of human degeneration

  • Film is sad. Score is sad, but both are addictive :')

  • Unbelievable Score. Truly gets all the emotions out of your soul.

  • definitely getting this on blu ray

  • what clingy instrument was the one from the 1st part

  • Moon is one of those truly meaningful, beautiful and emotionally incredible films that only comes along once in a long number of years. Like many of those films before it, it was never really granted the accolade it deserved.

  • Can you say thats not in our world like this too??

    I hope were no clons!!!!!!!!

but i really would like to make this experience too.....

  • the music sounds like starlight....

  • kind of sounds christmasy... its beautiful.

  • when i hear this time stops and its just peacful

  • you can feel it deep..

  • This brings tears to my eyes but also a sense of meaning to life, I wish I was up there on the Moon.

  • CAN'T FORGET THE SCENE !!

  • Tha music at tha start of this peice suits tha scene soo well in tha movie.

  • This music reminds me of esthar in ff8

  • *goosebumps*

  • I'm not agree that Avatar is a piece of garbage and we cannot really compare them but I recognize that moon, in my personnal opinnion is (one of) the greatest SF movies of the decade.

  • @Kratoseum yes!! I agree!! ;)

  • clint mansell is amazing.....

    The fountain is beautiful to

  • this movie makes you greatful for a family

  • this makes you want to go give sam a big hug (no homosexuality intended)

sometime i wish i could be in sams position. ( no homosexulity intended their also)

  • @mrfroho fuck, dude, let up on the homophobia. men DO have emotions, and no, it's not wrong to show them. now go give your mom a big hug and tell her you love her.

  • so sad, i love this :')

  • when does this appear in the film?

  • @theykilledkiller it appears when the two Sams go into the 'secret room' and find all of the clones.

  • Beautiful, sad, and yet comforting. What a strange combination of emotions!

  • this shows something. the only person who will always look after you in this world is yourself. its just sad, it makes me think about what it really means to be human, even the men who were forgotten.

  • Is it possible to get only the piano version, like in the movie?

  • A great story about a contract moon station worker yet very special

  • good AND awesome..

film put together at its best!!

    all around..

    from someone who knows..

    raftheleo

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Why I'm Cry ; - ;)

  • Beautiful, sad, happy

    Beats Avatar!

    10/10

  • @realMjPeacemaker The movie was awesome, but sadly played just 7 million dollars in. Deserved more imho.

  • @mahatma2222 For everything this film is, it deserved the haul that 'Avatar' earned. 'Moon' was absolutely stunning.

  • All the more sad when you figure they probably lost money on it: the budget was around 5 million, which doesn't include marketing costs (what little there was), and theaters take about 50 percent of the gross, so it probably only made about 3 million or so.

It has yet to open in some countries, though - Japan, for instance.

  • I checked today, according to wiki it made a gross of about $7,166,021. Hopefully it'll continue making much more on its home release- it deserves it.

  • @realMjPeacemaker Moon and District 9 have reinvigorated my interest in sci-fi, fuck Avatar.

  • @realMjPeacemaker there really is no contest there lol, avatar is a popcorn movie, this is emotionally driven. a stellar film

  • @realMjPeacemaker thats not saying much.

  • want this song at my wedding or funeral..at least the second part of it

  • yes excellent movie, definitely 8+/10

    could'ent fault it

this music accompanied the best scene in the film IMO, where sam 1 watches sam 2 leaving.

  • he should have atleas been nominated for an oscar, for this film

  • I thought it was so beautiful and sad when he was tucking in Sam towards the end. And when he carried him off to the rover.. I cried.

  • Sam Rockwell: world's most underrated actor.

  • totally agreed. he was awsome in this. this made me cry and i,m a 27 year old man.LOL.

  • Brilliant movie, great Rockwell, scenografy and history as sci-fi have to be.

Definitely one of the best movie (sci-fi ones) seen in these last years.

Space 1999, Sunshine, Outland, Kubrick... all inside!!

So sad but that kind of sad that give a plus like the sugar into the coffe ;)

  • This has been stuck in my head, it's sad, dreamlike, bittersweet and beautiful all at once.

  • There's no other composer more wonderful and serene than Clint Mansell.

  • "No...that's enough... I want to go home."

  • This movie is amazing. See it.

  • Don't know about you, but not many movies have ever provoked a reaction out of me.

I wanted to hurt the people who put him up there so much! I wanted to physically tear them apart.

  • Many movies get reactions out of me, but this was still one of very few "10s" in the past couple years.

  • for me tooooooooo!! Wow i can't put off music and images from my head!!

  • What a beautiful piece of music.

  • could someone suggest similiar music to this one? contrabass and piano? thank you..

  • @FuyuhikOco

Try The Cinematic Orchestra. They're more Trip Hop, but it still sounds really good.

  • @goodandawesome Cinematic Orchestra's great !! Thanks for sharing.

  • anything clint mansell (requiem for a dream, fountain, smoking aces)

  • @FuyuhikOco Check out the soundtrack to THE FOUNTAIN by this same composer and check out Philip Glass (I'd recomend "Mishima/closing")

  • @WinterWineStudio Yeah, The Fountain has an incredible soundtrack on top of being an incredible film. I want to hear more of this guys work! He composed for Requiem for a Dream as well right?

  • @FuyuhikOco when you know the name of the band go to gnoosic,.com

write down the band and the system will find for you all the bands whit same music style.Really well made.

  • @FuyuhikOco

    try Solaris

  • Comment removed

  • @FuyuhikOco I'd recommend a fair bit of Michael Nyman (many soundtracks, but especially comparitively for GATTACA.

John Murphy has done some good work for film also, involving these instruments particularly.

    Have a look see.

    All the best, PP.

  • What a great movie.

  • BEAUTIFULL :''''(((

  • great movie,great soundtrack.

  • actualy the first realllll movie iv seen

iv actualy bin thinking why did it have such an impact on me, is it the movie or the music?

dont get me wrong i love the movie, but its seems my love for piano is greater, and seeing someone suffer and break like that breaks you too

verrrry good movie just like "ink"

thumbs up for low budget movies!

    grtz

  • my opinion is your opinion.. ;]

  • Un diamante de pelicula, ¿Quien no se ha puesto en la piel del protagonista? Tremendamente triste. Impactante.

    La banda sonora acompaña.

  • One of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Outstanding acting by Sam Rockwell. And the music.......what to say?

  • This is perfect in every way. Thankyou.

  • I feel like watching Lost

  • maybe same knid of this " the island"2005

  • one of the successful element in this movie was the background music

    that was kind of meaningful

  • Fantastic movie.....I love Mansell soundtrack, this especially.

  • Great movie with a fantastic Sam Rockwell

  • this score was so nostalgic.

its so different compared to the other scores.

just saw this movie yesterday. one of the best science -fiction films ever made.

one of the best films of the year. 10/10

  • Just saw this film. It was a great little gem. Proper Old School. This and District 9 were the best sci fi films of the whole year: Both low budget, non-studio/tentpole films by first-time directors. Inspiring stuff.

This track stuck with me the most.

  • District 9, LOW BUDGET?!

    Dude...

  • @MoPictures

What in the hell are you smoking to think district 9 was a first time director, low budget, and non-studio?

  • District 9 was produced independently by Peter Jackson's Wingnut Films, for far less than blockbuster budget (Ffx done on the cheap by Weta) and Neil Blomkamp is a commercials director who has never directed a feature before now. Sorry.

  • @MoPictures

The film was made on a $30 million budget.

Visuel Effects by Image Engine Design.

  • OK, I'll concede on the budget. But Weta did work on it as well as Image Engine Design.

The point I was making in the first place was that it was not a tentpole film, in that there wasn't an executive sitting in an office who said "I want a science fiction film called 'District 9'" as a money decision (Although ironically that's probably how "District 10" with be made).

It was a product of the creatives, like "Moon".

  • @k1dicarus

Actually the films budget was $5 Million.

  • @2SixGraders: Actually that's wrong and k1dicarus is right. Even nowadays it's not remotely possible to shoot a movie like D9 for just 5m. 30m is about the amount I heard of before and I just double-checked it... imdb: "Budget $30,000,000 (estimated)".

  • @FuseNet

OH I thought you were talking about the budget for Moon.

  • @2SixGraders: Ok, that clears up things a LOT. ;-) I gotta admit... it really sucks that inlining seems only to work properly when the comment are viewed via the "View All xx comments" link.

  • Thank you so much, it's so hard to find the soundtrack on youtube.

I want to see the movie so bad! Hopefully it will be on DVD.

  • no problem. I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD release too...

  • such a shame for you people can I just say that this is the best movie I have ever seen and I hate most modern movies as well.

  • that said, i must see-last good sci fi i saw was Sunlight, have you seen it? i dislike most moderns as well...

  • ...you mean sunshine? havent heard of sunlight.

  • pandorum was also quite good

  • I know, every time I searched Moon Soundtrack it came up with sailor moon or new moon, GOD then I finally came to my senses and searched "Moon Soundtrack Sam Bell" lol

  • @UberGoggleBogglez definitely see the movie.
