I have a female mouse called Circle Mouse, she only goes in circles to the right, I have never seen her turn left once. We need to mate them and their babies will only go straight.
Circular running could be a sign of cage stress, or a vestibular problem. (The vestibular system is the fluid filled canals around the ear that tell you which way is forward and which way is up. The circle traveling mouse may believe that he/she is going straight.)
I just bought 2 mice on the w/end & one of them just runs anti-clockwise, thought it was funny at first (we thought it was chasing it's tail). I rang the pet shop they said I can take it back as it must have neurological (mental) problems. I feel slack as I'm not sure what they will do with it. How long did your live?

Mice will have fits like this but people haven't been able to find out why or how to fix it.
My mouse does the same thing and then will move all the bedding to trap herself inside of a Timothy Hay Hut I got her.
It's really sad actually.

My mouse had a stroke and now he only goes counter-clockwise. Sometimes straight-ish, but never clockwise.

Yeah, thats all he ever did. I tried to make him go clock wise, but he wouldn't. Counter clock wise circles was the only thing he ever did in life.
