That means some people are born gay. I was speaking to an associate and he said he grew up with two wonderful parents and he's never been molested and at the age of eight he began being attracted to boys.

Great friends, wonderful therapists, awesome counselors, and psychiatrists who actually pay attention to me. i think most disorders (or homosexuality - i know it's not a disorder) are down to the influence of the environment and how you have been brought up... often there is a biological reason as well but mostly environmental. but of course it's not a choice!!!!!

There is no correlation to what this might mean, but it is very consistent when comparing. It is a subject that is hard to research and there hasn't been much research. But how do you explain a 5 year old boy "feeling different" at such a young age. There are many anomalies regarding homosexuality and there is no definite answer.

Great friends, wonderful therapists, awesome counselors, and psychiatrists who actually pay attention to me. I'm still going through hospitalization about once a year to get my meds reworked because my body keeps adjusting to them too quickly. Maybe one day, I'll either pass from this life, or get fixed. @DjCosmicRush Who you are attracted to isn't a choice. It's mostly a mix of chemicals in the receivers brain, mixing with the pheramones of the giver, mixed with atmosphere, timing, phase of cycle, and many other factors. That being said...what one decides to do with that attraction is a choice.

I am not so sure that free will exists at all to be honest. I think every choice and though you make is based on the neurotransmitters, environment, and more. This isn't related to the topic but do you believe in free will? You say you have schizophrenia, I have a feeling I may develop it fairly soon. Maybe you can help me figure out myself.

you are a fool and have little understanding of psychology, philosophy etc... Homosexuality is as much a choice as child molesting is a choice... we can choose which sexual acts we take part in, what we fantasize about etc...
When I was younger and unmarried I had many sexual partners, and yes I would at times find teenage girls attractive... but I chose not to act sexually towards them. I chose not to masturbate thinking about a 13 year old as I believed it to be morally wrong despite my libido

Ya but that's just you; you're using a logical fallacy by comparing your brain and life to others with mental problems. I'm sorry but some mental disorders make people act a certain way, and in many cases it is near impossible to control, especially sexual disorders, because one of our most primary and ancient functions is to mate. Those people need help, that is true, but it has been shown that repressing things like that can leave people with severe psychological problems.
