  • @ohboyyesmom its not exactly 2 grand. you can buy a s13 clip for 2200$ then sell the extra parts 300$, then sell the old ka and tranny 650$ = 1250$. and 1250$ is a good price to pay for a new turbo, new tranny and sr20det motor. try and turbo your ka for 1250$ its going to be a shitstorm, the motor was never intended for turbo use, anyways. the ka revs like shit on top of all of that.

  • for all the retarded fucking people who commented on this shit heres some nissan engines:

    sr20det 2.0l inline 4 cyl.:205hp(450hp capability on stock internals)

    ka24de 2.4l inline 4 cyl:155hp (350hp capability on stock internals with turbo)

    rb20det 2.0l inline 6 cyl

    rb25 2.5l rb26 2.6l etc.....

  • i think the 240 lost because u took out the ka

  • @bananafruitification omg another one of thos guys.... go study before you come talking

  • @ohsnapzitzmeng what ru talking about the sr is horrible who wants a 2.0 6cylinder, thats why the ka replaced that trash

  • @bananafruitification lol your funny FYI the sr was never put into the 240sx in the U.S., BTW sr20 came in the s15 so in yo face..... lmao 2.0L "6" cylinder ahhaha go do more research buddy

  • @ohsnapzitzmeng ..................u still suck

  • @bananafruitification Hahaha what the fuck man? You have no idea what you're talking about. You're thinking of the RB20 engine which sucks, not the SR20 which is way better and can push 400hp with no problem.

  • @bananafruitification Um last i checked my sr20 was a 4 cylinder who told you it was a 6?

  • @Blood1Zero no u dumb fuck its a 6

  • @bananafruitification You rly want to try and tell me what i have? Your probably drive some pos any way. Not even worth my time. Maybe your the one that needs to go study because an sr20det is an i4 just google it or look and my engine bay video ether way you will see it is a 4 banger.... -.-

  • @bananafruitification lmfao.. oo i love the idiots.

  • @bananafruitification The SRT20DE is a 1.8 liter single turbo vs the KA which is a 2.4 liter naturally aspirated motor. The SRT20 is more efficient and produces about 205 HP against the KA's 155 horsepower. The KA sounds great with a good exhaust, although it's all talk and no game. It's the Japanese interpretation of what Americans value in sports cars ^_^

  • @Lokswar lol half you said was right

  • @bananafruitification 240 has never made their own engine. they use nissan hardbody truck.

  • lol you guys are funny as of now the 240 was faster then the MR2 but the MR2 just recently built a race engine and will be racing the 240 again pretty soon... subscribe if your waiting for the new updated race

  • DET! Legit.

  • Toyota def.>>>nissan

  • @vboytan you can drift a mr2 but a 240sx is much better for drifting but it would be cool to see more mr2's drifting

  • which would you say is better to drift around with? i"m looking for a drift car and i've taken both of these into consideration. Is it ok to drift in a MR?

  • I love how some people trash talk the mr2s,if you have a 240 or a silvia how about you guys go and record a video of your cars racing an mr2 on equal terms and HP so you have proof on how bad the 240 will beat the mr2. talking out of the ass doesnt help you know.

  • this race was a joke.....my room mate has a 240sx hatch, its pretty quick for a 4 cyl..all I'm say this guy in the 240 doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

  • @Darkndmessiah : your a joke i dont think you know what your talking about, obviously if you knew about 240's the s13's are lighter then the s14's. overall BOTH cars are fast both are hitting 13's and one of them have LSD now do the math

  • @Darkndmessiah oh yea and if you seen round 2 there both fairly even matched

  • @ohsnapzitzmeng Great race, what gen is the 3s?

  • @ohsnapzitzmeng Great race, what gen of 3s in the deuce?

  • @Darkndmessiah hahahahha mr2 is always better than a 240 buddy :)

  • MR2 just walked that race the 240sx was a shame.

  • Sr20de-t is the way to go any day of the week. Fuck a weak ass ka24 heavy ass truck motor low revvin piece of shit

  • Were you guys racing through puddles? Eep!

  • well i had both sr and kat.. now currently with sr..if u wanna bust people up on the drag strip get a ka.. if u want to have fun and beat the hell out of the motor without worrying of breaking down get a sr

  • Ohhhh yeaaaahhhh!!

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooo on high speed sr20det 240sx creeping up that mr2 turbo.

  • if there is only minor boltons, you shouldnt be running 17 psi, stock limit on fuel system is 16

  • i have an mr2 too. from a dig, the mr2 will PULVERIZE the 240 even without an LSD! being mid-engine and the weight over the rear wheels, it just squats and takes off quick.

close race though. the mr2 walked in this race.

  • @hmong337 that s a joke! i have been around both cars for awhile and know for a fact the mr2 is way to heavy for tha amount of torq the engine putts out,240s smoke mr2's all day long, with very minimal add ons.

  • ok, i Don't see the point of swaping your nissan 2.4L engine ,WITH 150 hp stock for a sr20det with only 200hp ,and waste more than 2 grand on swaping it, why don't turbocharge your 2.4L, and get more power...POINTLESS!!!!

  • dude try the ka with a turbo and then try the sr20det lol

  • its because the sr has WAY more potential than a ka. its lighter and parts are cheap as balls for it. and when you turbo the ka you end up with the same amount of power as the sr just in a heavyer motor that doesnt rev as high

  • actually with a t25 setup ka's make around 225-235...thats 20-30hp more then a t25 sr20, and i'm not even mentioning the tq advantage ka's have...they have way more potential then sr's, they just need to have more money put into them.

  • well i got a rwd de and turboed it. to like 230 there also. the sr is lighter. and parts like internals are harder to find. if they have way more potential why does every s chassis race car use a sr or a rb? even the pro built ka's cant spin past 8.5k

  • u wanna kno why bc dumbass's like you dont think, if you run 10 or more psi you will fucking kill the pathetic ka in about a year or so , so yeah that's why plus there's more potential as in longer life span and more torque and hp. do some research son.

  • I used to think the same thing, but here's the problem... You can't slap TURBO on a motor that wasn't built for it. For instance, a truck and a car have "the same engine", however their hp and tq specs are different. This is because something is different in that engine for it's purpose. Therefore, you cannot slap turbo on a non-turbo car and expect it to last you.

If anything, rebuild the 2.4 for turbo application and stroke it. That might put out some better numbers, but more vs swap.

  • I mean more work vs just a simple swap. I rant out of characters for that last message and tried to condense it.

  • @OHBOYYESMOM have u owned a ka24? not reliable. always having problems. internals not good for boost. i could keep going but here's the point. i would go with the sr anyday. sr no hassle, fun to drift with, and distributes weight way better than the ka.

  • @OHBOYYESMOM easier tune

  • @OHBOYYESMOM the ka are not made to be turbocharged the sr was and the ka is known for getting blown with a turbo

  • @OHBOYYESMOM its not bout the power man its bout having A SILVIA!!!! SORRY POSTED ON A YEAR OLD COMMENT JUST GOT riled up with your comment!

  • Comment removed

  • @OHBOYYESMOM It's because the sr20 was built for the boost, and for more power.. Whereas the 2.4L KA engine simply wasn't.. ka24 is just a humble little engine Nissan uses for light trucks and family sedans! LOL. I'm actually rather surprised your comment got so many thumbs up ?!?!

  • @bliglum did you really just call the ka little....... when clearly the sr is smaller... stupid. thumbs up to bliglum because he is right. put 2 grand into a ka and its RIDICULOUS. im ka-t and my friend is sr20det. he likes driving my car more. only thing he gets is "o i have a japanese motor" .

  • @myc013 OH yeah, you're right, I was soo stupid for calling the massive 2.4 liter KA engine little!!! LOL. But seriously, there is alot more to it than just "o I have a j-spec"...If you think that's all it is, than you're just ignorant. the Ka was built with cost as a priority, while the sr was built with performance on the top of the list... And have fun with your turbo ka while you can, cause it won't last long.

  • @bliglum had it for a year and half. only had one problem with the MAF sensor. Good build + Good tune= long lasting.

  • @myc013 That is true, it's all about the tune. Poor tune = blown engine.

  • @OHBOYYESMOM cause some of us dont have the money to rebuild then buy a turbo kit cost me 1700 for my sr20det and everything so i think its a little cheaper

  • @OHBOYYESMOM because itll blow up basically lol (if you plan on actually building it up) itll also be more expensive

  • @ajh1031 No it wont, you want to know why, cause any engine well built it can las forever if you know how to and what kind of boost u running, and also because the 2.4 liter engine it's got why more torque than the sr20, it sounds pretty cool when someone says ohh i just got my sr20 on my 240 but the real truth is that you will be getting more horsies and more torque on a well build ka and be spending less, my resources, im a mechanic and done for 4 cars 4 years after and they still kick ass!!

  • @OHBOYYESMOM because it HIS car and he can do what HE wants with it.

  • @OHBOYYESMOM The price for turbo parts plus building the motor for turbo vs just getting a engine built for turbo. You sound like one of those Honda guys who wonders why his engine blows up from just slapping frakenstein turbos on his car. You also have to consider um... COMPRESSION maybe? N/A motor have higher compression ratios. Ok smart guy. So cost wise, which is more effective then and what exactly involves boosting an N/A motor to be SAFELY daily driven and reliable?

  • dude..you guys are slow..your a disgrace to an mr2 owner..! i can take you out anytime...anywhere..! hahaha...

  • "okay...i lost to cheng..by not that much though...it was a good race...trying to get the video the guys that were there recorded...i will upload it soon..."

  • daMN, THAT MR2 IS NICE!

  • didn't want to do from a dig b/c the 240 doesn't have lsd and the mr2 does. but don't lsd coming in soon. re-run soon.
