THE GT3 AT THE END WAS WALKING THAT DP! THE EXIT ON TO THE BANKING WOULD PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE! BUT STILL THE PORSCHE WAS SHOWING THE FAST WAY AROUND THE INFIELD! HOW MANY MORE CORVETTE'S WILL CHEVY SELL IF THIS IS THE ONLY CAR IN IT'S NEW MADE UP CLASS. REMEMBER THE 90'S CORVETTE INDY? BORING.

@311superfly Holy cap lock batman. This was testing not a race. I can assure you that a prototype car will be faster than a GT car anywhere on the track. It's basic physics.

I'm an ALMS fan first above all else because Corvette Racing is factory-backed and this car isn't; a group of four privateer teams are racing it. When Chevy decided to go back and race in LeMans, they picked a great team in Pratt-Miller. Here's hoping the four teams picked by Chevy surprises us all.

@triplexxxsatyr Chevy is not doing a full factory team because Grand-Am rules forbid it. As it is, this car has been designed, built, and will be supported by Pratt & Miller. That's the most they can do under Grand-Am rules.

That is one nice lookin' Chevy ... Did''ja notice the type of split-window in the rear to emulate the '63 Vette? Nice touch. Overall, a very clean, slippery look. Now, let's hope it's competitive as the DP is a tough field. I'll be rooting for it in 2012 for sure!

@chrisdraper2007 As things stand now, yes. Regardless, I want both GA and ALMS to be good enough that I won't feel cheated out of good sportscar racing if one or the other dies, and the Corvette DP is a step towards bringing GA to that level.

@chrisdraper2007 Agreed, ALMS is much better, but Grand Am has NASCAR's money, if any of these series die, I guess... it won't be Grand Am, what is sad because the LMP's are faster and looks better.
