as for right now i have not heard of any negative reports about the new 360, but i honestly would wait a few months just in case there are any bugs with the system. as for games it all depends what you like. if you prefer FPS get halo or COD, TPS get Gears of War (the multiplayer IMO isn't that great but the story is pretty good), Racing: Grid is a great one if you like simulator type racing games, and from the market place Castle Crashers.
