  • strange....

  • ha ha ha wtf thats hilarous

  • ... I just vomitted. Like literally vommited. I don't even know why. I am either the next virgin Mary or that freaked me out really bad.

  • gross

  • well, that was short but sweet :p

  • well, that was short but sweet :p

  • well, that was short but sweet :p

  • Spiders A giant Legion of Spiders!

  • surely there must be a part 2 .

  • Ending sucks, but its still something that scares the shit out of me, I hate the idea of giant ....

  • that the guy from glee?

  • I thought one of the guys was a woman!

  • I like 60s Twilight Zone but I think it still lacks helpfull effects, so 80s is my favorite while the new one is eh.. let's don't mention it. Outer Limites -> wonderful but I think the TZ time of 10-20 minutes is a little bit better.

But this episode.. I don't like it. It builds up and ends, first time I thought there was a second part but nope, that's it. Very sad.

  • I couldn't see the spider...that's what they get for being nosey

  • dads a monster

  • super-perfect food

it's a rat. biggest rat ever

  • This episode sucked

  • Raid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The spider said, "MMmm MMmmM, Dinner is in the Micro Wave!!"

  • 'it feels like raw meat' 'protein'....well raw meat isn't made up of just protein....

  • It's not Bradbury's fault if the movie adaption was crap, likewise with this TZ episode. FYI you do realize that Rod Serling only wrote SOME of the episodes to the original series? He used stories from other sic-fi writers for the rest including some by Bradbury...

  • end: OMG ITS A SPIDER AUUUUUGGGGG

  • omfg his voice is annoying

  • Hey it's evil he should do his laugh

  • It would have made a good opening for an episode of Doctor Who.

  • Urr. Worst episode ever.

  • Another reason why this latter series was completely inferior to the original Twilight Zone when Rod Sterling was writing. These kind of stories are hack compared to the masterpieces Sterling wrote. At least the new Outer limits was better than this.

  • @zenjim007 This episode was written by Ray Bradbury. He is a very renowned sic-fi writer. He wrote Fahrenheit 451 and the Sound of Thunder.

  • @jajacob410 I know who Ray Bradbury is; and I also know he's written some bad stories that read like they were thrown together for a pay check; this is one of them. Sterling was way more talented than Bradbury. Your little revelation hasn't changed my opinion of this story;..its still hack!

  • @zenjim007 Oh really, and what would those stories be? I consider him and Isamov the two greats of sic-fi literature.

  • @jajacob410 meant to say Asimov btw

  • @jajacob410 You already mentioned one; Sound of Thunder; was ridiculous from the beginning; good for laughs and the movie was even more campy as well; just like this story. Fire and Ice read like High School day dreamer wrote it. However some people like his stuff like you; I'm just not a fan. That said; have a nice day.

  • hate spiders. Glad I read the comments first, now I will not watch!

  • GODDAMNMAN YOU F**K THAT S**T UP!!!!

  • elevator spider

  • I had to watch this again: I had to face my fears.

This is the story that made me afraid of spiders... or at least looking at blown-up pictures of their faces! (At their natural size, I'm actually fine with them.) That was a quarter of a century ago.

I had to face my fears... again. Thanks for posting.

  • lol i love how the spider grabs them and pulls them in the elevator hahahaha sooo cheesy it makes it worth watching

  • the story was great, but the ending is soooooo stupid >.<" so much tension and build up for that!?

  • wtf? no explanation of any kind, no real resolution. let's just terribly mash sci-fi nd horror together with a kid that reallly needs to get farther along in puberty

  • Feed billions... McDonald's has already done it...

  • Stupidest one ever.

  • stupidest one ever

  • what is robert prescott's date of birth?

  • I remember this! Love it! It should be re-made into a movie.

  • I looooove this story :D

  • evil ed from Fright Night

  • What a stupid video

  • look its evil

  • that boy was in fright night.Lol

  • Such an abrupt ending

  • Oh shit, I remember that blonde guy from the flick Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks. :P

  • Cool, Stephen's in this. I remember him from Fright Night as a kid. : )

  • @drvenkman1981 yeahh totally >>> face you don't forget lol

  • cf h.g. wells' "food of thr gods"

  • wow-I remember when EVERY hot chick had to have a convertible Rabbit. Its a wonder VW stopped making them.

  • I got those big rats in my house. Theyre the size of cats seriously. Thats NY for you

  • You couldn't see shit in this episode.

  • Where is part 2?

  • I'm bored with this

  • where is part 2 of the elevator it couldn't have ended like that i hope

  • @msnikkia1 there is no part 2. that was the ending

  • Hmm... now I think about it, I don't know if a spider could properly eat mammals... we're full of bones and tough muscle, unlike the exoskeleton encasing squishy goo insects they prefer. Pretty sure it would be like trying to bite into peice of lobster meat only to find it kept it's tough grisl and shell on the inside. Nor would a web making spider be able to survive long at that size even if it DID try to eat humans. It'd probably starve to death pretty darn fast...

  • @Theearl444 i've seen science shows that show how you jsut can't "scale up" giant insects for one thing I believe most of them depend of osmosis of oxygen for their respiratory systems. osmosis works great over short distances, but when air has to move several inches then it doesn't work.

True there were larger insects millions of years ago, but the oxygen levels in the air were also greater.

  • @Theearl444 The real issue is, whether its exoskeleton would collapse at that size. There's a reason that arthropods, with their skeletons on the OUTSIDE, stay relatively small: past a certain size limit, they would simply collapse.

    Thank goodness!

  • Parents just NEED to have their private lives!

  • Lesson learned:Never go after looking for your scientist father or a huge spider will eat you.

  • Wait wait wait.. Why was the whole video called The Elevator?

The Entire thing had nothing to do with an elevator.

  • I saw this when it originally aired. The build-up was creepy and suspenseful, but the ending was pretty bad.

  • man, you can barely see the spider. :( Twilight Zone (1985) my fav episode is The Night of Meek.

  • Worst ending ever

  • What a stupid ending

  • OMG ITS A SPIDER!!!!!!!! -end- XDDDDD

  • Maybe Samwise will save them.

  • the young guy is pissing me off.seriously, how bad can you be at acting?

  • @matynn Stephen FUCKING Geoffreys....who happens to be the man!

  • @paulbuss agreed!!

  • @NormanBatesRocks911 I love me some Stephen Geoffreys ;)

  • dinner's in the elevator! mmmmmMMMM! *W*

  • I Wanna See The Elevator (You Know The Tower Of Terror!)

  • This should have beent titled differently. I was thinking about the elevator from the Disney ride "Tower of Terror". This really doesn't really have anythign to do with the elevator.

  • steve was great in fright night and 976 evil

  • Only to a science fiction writer would this pass as quality horror...Dull,not scary.

  • @knowallcity Scary, dull, whatever. It's pure 80s classic and I love it.

  • Oh, you're so cool spider!

  • @Kuupoju Only people who have seen the original firght night would get that joke. U r So telling ur age, LoL! good one. :-)

  • LMFAO so the spider pushed the button for the elevator to go up and down??

  • @brianwilli2002 I got the feeling the elevator was malfunctioning and would go up and down randomly.

  • This episode scared the crap out of me when I was 12. Thank you for posting this!

  • Ok heres what I think. The spider is poisonous. It moves in and starts getting bigger off the super food along with the rats the cat and the dog. By the time they all get big enough the spider has the ability to kill large predators with venom. It can also hide. The smaller rats indicate animals that had not been there long when they threatned the spider. I guess the spider saw an easy meal in the kids.

  • God the kid screeching "DAAAD!" is annoying :-D

  • That's it?

  • how would the spider be bigger than the cat and the rat surly they would of been bigger

  • @ALEXJDXBL They showed the rats were bigger as time went on. Either the father's super food became more potent over time, or the longer the thing lives the bigger it gets. The spider had enough time to get very big.

  • The blood at the end is a little sad...i still love this episode!

  • Please say Stephen Geoffreys is bisexual and not gay. I JUST LOVE HIM

  • @Fantastic80smusic Yeah, he's bi! yay! i'm pretty sure cuz i've read alot of stuff about it!

  • @Fantastic80smusic I love him too! =)

  • oh...hate it when stephen geoffreys dies...

  • I love how you see Rod Serling's face in the opening and that he's credited.

  • Creepy episode, but... the lighting is pretty terrible. If he wouldn't have shouted "A SPIDER!" at the end, I'd have no clue what snatched them up.

  • Abominable. Even by Bradbury standards. So, those whole, uneaten corpses were left by the spider? Makes a lot of sense.

Since they knew the building harbored giant creatures, they elected to stick around, why?

  • @zorntap A spider might just suck out the fluids, digest some of the internal stuff.

  • I love stephen geoffreys (will) hes a cutie!

  • In this case curiosity did kill the cat...and the dog...the rat...and the people.

  • ... THAT WAS SHIT!

  • any episode where a giant spider comes out of nowhere and kills the two main characters is a great show =)

  • Indeed the younger brother sounds like a Girl! Thanks for posting!

  • "DAD!!" lol Screamed like a little bitch. Thanks for uploeading this, I'll watch anything with Stephen Geoffreys.

  • @Lavern4101 Even the gay porn he did?

  • @Sleeper99999 I'd watch it out of mere curosity.

  • @Lavern4101 Fair enough. It might be funny with his dialogue from FRIGHT NIGHT looped over it. "The Master will kill you for this! Slowly, oh so slowly!"

  • @Sleeper99999 LOL. 'Master' as in bdsm dungeon master, he'd make a great gimp.

  • @Lavern4101

You know hes done some gay porn films too right. You going to watch those too? lol

  • @Southpawuppercut Oh how clever of you...But to answer your question, sure I'd watch em. Why not?

  • Horrible!

  • : O

  • What the shit? ... This was nowhere near good, i hated it.

  • your so cool brewster!!

  • To partially quote Eddie Murphy....why don't white people get out when there's a giant spider in da house? It's simple.....if there's a giant spider in da house get da fuck out!!

  • Is that the kid from fright night?

  • @hymanpena Yeah that's him. "You're so cool Brewster!!"

  • this is a piece of crap that I was unlucky enough to see in 1986, and stinks as much now as it did then. Rod Serling is turning over in his grave.

  • @jforester100 I have a feeling that Mr. Serling would've appreciated anything written by Ray Bradbury. U sock.

  • KENT!

  • W-T-F ?

  • Heh. That was tight.

  • Thank you for posting this!!! <3 Stephen Geoffreys <3

  • What a horrible episode, all that build up........and then (watch for yourself) I demand satisfaction

  • what the fuck was that?!

  • so a spider killed them all? and anyway, that is the end?! Probably the worst TW episode ever except for the 2002s.

  • @riadse87 Worst. Not really. ...but actually the most FUCKED UP.
