First off Neil Peart is way too overrated and doesnt belong in any top 5 or top 10 lists of drummers. Second, even though this solo is amazing, Danny has some even cooler solos. Third, even though danny's solos are smelly brick inducing, His real awesomeness comes in the beats and complex poly-rythms he pulls off while keeping a cool groove

its when you have many rythms POLY-RYTHM=MANY-RYTHMS. in this case it means having more than one time signature and beat active which depending on the polyrythm can be pretty difficult since you have to divide your brain to understand the many rythms together.

when i heard it live i almost shit myself, i didnt know that they played the bridge in Schism this way, and then i went to the show and heard and saw it. oh man... that was something called TOOLgasm, and i'm totally serious
