This is such a beautiful piece... I was looking for this cello track for so long! I've heard it in lots of movies and TV shows. I love the feeling it gives off... It makes me think of a person that's a true artist, but that artist is going through a troubled time and the only outlet they have is their instrument, the cello... Just beautiful!
There isnt one instrument I have found that you cant put your heart and soul into....Heck Ive seen people put there heart and soul into a triangle....Music moves everyone in different ways...i truly believe theres no wrong ways just different ways and different styles!
@mentaz Don't be so modest. I'd say a good 98% is crap and forever be crap. When you need a computer to modify your voice because you have no talent whatsoever is a good indication that your horrible.
I love classical music it's so soothing to me. I guess that's because my older brother used to turn it on before we went to sleep at night when i was younger.
I'd like to talk about one thing though. I find it quite opposite to the spirit of sharing to not even mention one photographer in your description. All those beautiful photographs were taken by humans. lol. I know they are of nature and nature is indeed beautiful, but if you even know the name of 1 photographer, add him to your description.
I will never get tired of listening to this piece. <3
It's kind of sad to think that music like this isn't heard too much anymore. I mean, you occasionally hear the violin or the string bass in the background of a pop or r&b song, but that might just be it. I wish classical instruments were used more often in songs that you might hear on the radio. I know most of my friends don't like the sound of strings, but it'd just be nice to hear a change in what I hear on the radio everyday.
I love the wholesomeness of this sound. Sound wonderfully rich. Anyone can point me to the same sort of deep sounds of cello here? How do I find this deep kind of enchanting solo cello?
I love this song. It is sad how most people would only know this song from "The Soloist" rather than prior knowledge of how magnificent classical music is.
@Sadiquit0 I'm not a fan of classical music nor do I have a passion for it. I'm part of the mainstream populace that is constantly being cultured by exposure to classical music through movie scores. I first heard this song from the movie
"Master and Commander", and I love it. I was only saying that there's nothing wrong with getting classic arts through mainstream movies. Sorry if I sounded condescending, I didn't mean to.
How in Sam-Hill did we go from this to Soulja Boy?!?! If there was ever a way to relive something....I would shake Bach's hand and thank him sincerely. You would think since there's only a few notes in music that something this beautiful could even be thought of. I can't stop listening to this on my good days and bad days! Thanks Bach!!!
iam an african american and yes i love my hip hop rap music....but at the same time i like 2 listen 2 this type of sound....its my own personal escape if u will....it haunts me in many ways.....i cant explaine it
@enmac500 Don't say a word about Death Metal until you actually know its origin and history please. I am a metalhead and I still love and appreciate this music, at to be honest besides vocals the two genres aren't all that different. Just because you're too closed minded to appreciate a different genre of music doesn't mean you need to belittle it on the internet to make yourself feel better.
@futboller18 make myself feel better, lol. you're cute. and i was making a joke. who said i don't like death metal? in fact, I do, but i also like making jokes. now move along, bro.
There are so many words that come to mind when I listen to this exquisite piece of music. Words that barely begin to describe the emotion which builds to an explosive crescendo. This music is haunting, moving, contemplative, pulsating, searing, piercing, disarming, captivating, enrapturing, majestic, alluring, enigmatic, enchanting, ethereal and impossibly real. He somehow captured the essence of the universe and life itself. Bravo. Thank you to JasonZastrow for posting the video.
Yeah pianofan real ironic you play multiple woodwind instruments. (sarcasticly)alot of people play multiple instruments. i might pick up guitar this summer and cello next school year in addition to my violin.
if you play viola you can easily learn it, same strings just from tener to bass cleff isn't that hard. I'm sure it would be easy for you on your normal instrument then learning it on the cello.
To find comfort, strength, courage...hope in the art that is music. To see beauty leap forth from the notes that are played, strummed, singed...expressed. To see a piece of yourself be shown to all before you as you play your art...that is what it truly means to be a musician...to be a musical artist.
Uh bach is my favorite composer and i hope to play this good one day. If you dont play an instument or sing or something start today. It will be the best time you ever spent in your life.
hey whats most easy instrument to to learn how to play i know if u or enybody love to do it and spends time on it is fast to learn but is realy the piano the easyest one?
if you want a instrument with a wide rang of notes and recognizable pieces, i would not suggest cello or any string instruments as to they have no frets like guitars or electric basses and takes a long time. cymbals are kind of useless but you could learn the recorder and move to woodwinds like clarinet or flute or oboe
I agree. Asshats giving thumbs down. I like this song becuase of the dragged out notes, adds to the general feel of the song. I think this is a little too fast.
I don't think its too fast, but I myself as a musician think that interpretation is in the musician's inspiration. What they feel and what comes to mind when they play those first few notes.
