It's not just the movie. The movie is a brilliantly half baked turd that has "something." Think Ed Wood. But, it's the story around it's production and its pseudo-genius writer-director-star-caterer.

In showbiz, bad is bad and goes unrecognized. Spectacularly bad is terribly compelling! That's why we watch.  And love.

@tommyrock69 Without Wiseaus monumentally bad acting I think it would have been confined to the 99p bin at the back of some dirty, dirty supermarket. Wiseau gives us something to remind ourselves that what ever we do in life it would be hard to any better. Thats why its a cult classic, he gives us something to love. Call it clever, I call it unintentional. Hes not a genious. A someone with at least a thread of grey matter would at least break even on their money.
