  • A terrible thing element! In such moments I heart stops and the spirit catches!

  • 1 peson has never sailed EVER

  • beautiful!

  • I have to also say the star of of the video isnt the storm, its the fellow with crossed legs, bothered by nothing, scared of nothing, oblivious to the threats, carrying on a huge task. Thats amazing. Love to have a chat with him sometime. Meantime i like to see life in a storm, learn some small thing everytime.

  • think i might be dribbling

  • Thank you for sharing this information. The information was very helpful and saved a lot of my time.

  • respect for that mast xD

  • Shit that looks awesome, closest i can get to that is 45 knots in a single hander :)

  • What's the best route to start getting into this level of the sport, any advice?

I've dominated multiple sports, some of which I am growing tired like extreme soloing (mountain climbing without guide or safety ropes) big wave surfing (without tow-ins) and rapid kayaking.

Sailing looks like it could be the next big thing for me, I am the kind of person where the sport I'm working to master, no matter what stage of life I'm in, becomes all consuming and takes over my life to a point its unhealthy.

  • @xlr8up Start with dinghys and work your way up

  • That is hauling some serious ass!

  • ....blir helt forpustet....

  • They definitely didnt bring it down completely that would have moved their center of effort to far forward and produced alot of lee helm.. an unbalanced boat in those conditions can be very dangerous.

  • hehehe if you want extreme sailing... philippine is a good idea... lots of storm up to 20+ in a year. . .^_^

  • of course, storm jib and reefed main

  • well if its blowing like this you dont really have much choice how to slow these boats down and that was is fatal for them.

  • @a6km yes they seem to be nursing the boat a bit. Not going full chat

  • Grande momento, minha inscriçao vai ser validada !

    Abraço

  • I like how the trimmer is sitting as if on a benvh in the park...with his legs crossed, watching the birds.. meanwhile holding on to the sheet of massive sail powering a carbon fibre boat/shell along a wildly angry ocean... amazing. I guess you get used to everything.

  • i couldnt tell , did they just reef the main or did they bring it down completely?

  • guess they reefed it.
