Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting! I have been short on time to do anymore videos. But I really plan to do at least a few more...then just leave them up for anyone who is just discovering one of the most overlooked rock bands in the US and anyone else who stumbles by! Rock on! xxxx
I know! Three Dog Night were pretty popular here but if I were doing the billing I would have had T. Rex tour with a group that Marc actually liked. Which is something I really don't know about. I know he liked soul, so maybe a soul group would have been cool. Like maybe Family Stone or something. That would have been a lively show!
So sad to hear Gloria trying to hog the mic. Such a sad, misguided time. It ruined his attempt to impress America. Tragic. The off key warbles at 1:35 are startling and trash the Marc Bolan/ T-Rex vibe.
I first heard this when I bought the Light Of Love album on import in the UK. The new direction after Zinc Alloy blew me away. Photos from this period are always fascinating (most are from late summer US tour in 1973) as they show the physical toll his huge success had on Marc. Such a sad loss but an eternal star.

To think that T-Rex actually used to open for bands like Three Dog Night is mindboggling....
