There is no issue with the time. The television station which broadcasted this match did not pause the time shown for injury breaks or any pause in play. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised according to the official timing that the game ended closer to 80 minutes.

Time arugments aside as a USA side we messed up on the last play, we didnt even give the georgian winger a player to run thro or evade, we simply did not cover him at all. We were simply stupid at the end.

doesn't anyone else have an issue with the ref allowing so much extra time? once the 80mins is up and the ball is out that’s it, game over! USA seem to have been robbed by the ref in this one

@yourboringshutup there is no need to argue here if you havn't seen the match i was at the stedium and the fact is that the 1tv doens't stop the time if the match is stopped by injures so that 88 minuts that jou see is included whit all those injures and there where much of them

@yourboringshutup well the rugby in georgia isn't at that high level that the operater has ever stopped the time or using a video ref etc, etc, olso consider that in the first that there wasn't any addetionale time at all! so i'm sur that the 88 minutes where legal but the refferee was of a low quallity he made some mistakes not only in geogian fevour but in the usa favour asswell, georgia played a horrible game but ok somethimes you need luck or just 1 nice moment to win a game!

@yourboringshutup clearly the TV timer does not stop when play is stopped, so the ref stops his watch instead. and starts it again when he calls time on. Then he calls time when his watch says 80 mins. simple.

@yourboringshutup I think the refs clock was different from the time on the screen. I.e. his clock could be stopped when there was an injury but the TV station kept theres going. Therefore it probably did end at the right time.

@sadasd75 oi dipshit, if you read the posts from THREE days ago you would see that we figured out it was an issue with the scoreboard clock not stopping during the game when the ref called time off. And champ you need to update your rule book because none of what you said was right.
