Does anybody remember a game called Fantasmagoria? or it could have been spelt with a Ph,it was a point and click game on PC back in the mid nineties about a couple who move into a mansion to find its occupied by ghosts,it had live action style graphics so it looked quite realistic and not really like a game,anyway it was the first game to ever make me feel afraid,though Ive never seen or heard of it since then

The reson why they called Alone in the Dark the first 3D horror game was because it was the first horror game to contain fully rendered polygons. While 3D monster maze uses images and perspective to give the feel of 3D.

The case is simalar with Wofenstein 3D. Wolfenstein didn't use polygons but a process called Ray Casting, wich is not consider 3D.

the only reason why 3D monster maze isn't considered the first 3D horror game, is because it ISN'T 3D! It has no polygons, or voxels, whatever, it has no depth, the only thing it has are 2D images representing 3D images, a shadow of 3D objects if you will. Check out about dimensions and you'll agree with me ;)

No horror film ever scared me as a kid, I finished the RE franchise in a few months and find myself bored at so many movies referred to as "the scariest movie ever" by this person or that person but I couldn't go over 45 minutes playing Silent Hill 2 without turning off the game because I just couldn't take the anxiety of wondering what's behind every corner, every door, etc.

If you really want the full resident evil experience, play it in the dark, when your home alone. I did this the first time I played it. The first time I walked down the hall and the zombie dogs jumped through the window, my controller flew across the room i jumped so high.

Teachers need to keep up with certain teaching methods as well as other topics, depending on their goals. Some teachers, like my Japanese teacher, wish to teach other subjects in the future in case their subject gets deemed "un-needed." Each case is different though. He could just be studying to make sure he knows WTF he's talking about for his next lesson, unlike some teachers I've had.

I think the reason why Alone In The Dark is considered the first 3D survival horror game is because it's actual 3D. 3D Monster Maze used 2D graphics, despite it's name. I think the reason why they called it 3D Monster maze is because walking through the maze gives the illusion that it's 3 Dimensional, however the entire game is just 2 Dimensional pictures that have a little bit of detail and depth to them. It's not true, 3 Dimensional graphics.
