How do you turn an actor into an overlay?

to ways, press printscreen key and paste image into a paint program, or make a movies with the actor in the perfect pose, and then in windows movie maker, take a snapshot of the actor in that pose, then paste image into paint program. The edit out all the detail of the image that isn;t the acter, the background. Then save the leftover image of just the actor as an overlay.
