here's an example. before steroids, let's say Bonds hits 10 balls to the warning track in one season. well, steroids increases strength, which increases batting power, which turns those 10 flyouts into 10 homeruns. That adds to his homeruns, slugging percentage, RBIs, runs, on-base percentage, batting average, and hits.

steroids is cheating. period. that's why steroids are illegal.
