  • it's great,

    but what's the "lesson" here?

  • Hello Tomo, I'm from Peru and I've been watching your videos, nice lessons !! I wanna go to berklee, are you a teacher there???

  • What amp did you use for this video?

  • @Raydungey 1965 Fender Pro Reverb.

    Tomo

  • lovely...real sweet.

  • @jj356 Thanks.

    Tomo

  • What are your amp settings for this video? I really dig your tone :)

  • Volume is around 2-3, Treble 6, bass 3-4.

    Tomo

  • Excellent playing my friend, I enjoyed listening.

  • Thank you! Glad to hear that.

    Tomo

  • Yes, but those are same quality as vintage strats and teles!

    Tomo

  • bravo! One of the best vids ever

  • Thank you so much!

    Tomo

  • what scales are you using in the piece?

  • I mixed several scales.. (I don't think about scales when I play). I use more triads, chord tone.

    Tomo

  • This is fucking Jazz. Not Blues !!!

  • Well you're showing your lack of musical understanding. A song can easily be both.

  • Thank you so much! Good music is good!

    Tomo

  • Thanks!

    Tomo

  • ok! Thanks!

    Tomo

  • Very tasteful playing Tomo; Thank you!

  • Rare too see a player of your kind, with extensive musical knowledge playin Blues with both feets almost on the blue side. u've inspired me deeply. thank you.

  • Thank you so much for your kind words.

    Tomo

  • an absolute coolness you just played there

  • Thanks for your kind words.

    Tomo

  • Thank you so much! If you visualize too much... you can't connect with your heart while you are playing,, so I disconrct from my brain! Look at something else to focus..

    Tomo

  • You are Awesome Man! I Love how you don't even have to look at the guitar...Amazing!!

  • Hopefully he's there this summer!!!

  • I will be teaching Berklee Summer Guitar Session from 8/17-20.

    Thanks,

    Tomo

  • very soulful. Loved the how you give a jazzy feel to the blues.

  • Thank you! If you want to play jazz, you want to work on feel of blues first...

    Tomo

  • i know its already been said on here before, but great phrasing. incredible.

  • Thank you for your kind words. Thank you.

    Tomo

  • Thank you so much! I love blues too.

    Tomo

  • how do you do it!

it's like i can feel your emotions while your playing that!

    it's great!

  • Thank you! You want to be a great listener first. Liste to the blues! If you can hear blues in you.. nothing will come out? Less is more approach. less information, more emortion... Tomo

  • Thanks!

    TF

  • Tab for which part?

    Tomo

  • Thank you so much! I love these vintage Duo Sonics... Musicmasters... and Fender Black Face Pro Reverbs. I put NOS 7581s.

    Tomo

  • that was sick but there is nothing "lesson" about this

  • Thanks for watching! This video for my students at Berklee... blues/funk lab and my tape lesson students so I gave them lessons, specific material, directions and details. This video will help them to apply. Thanks!

    Tomo

  • very nice

  • Would it be possible for someone to tell me what he is playing at 1:35 to 1:38? What scale perhaps?

  • That was Joe Pass type phrase that you can use it over V or bII7 (sub-V chord). I played it over bll 7 chord so.... you can hear as 13, 5th 9th 6th 5th...then 5th 4th (over C7?) then resolve on Major 3rd. Listen to jazz guys.

    Tomo

  • dude when i heard this i grabbed my guitar and started playing the 12 bar rhythm w/ some chord substitutions...IT WAS WICKED MAN!!! oh if u see john mayer again...tell him if he wants his thumb war championship belt back, he'll have to go through me>>> "THe GOLD METAL WINNER" @ the 2008 Olympics in Thumb War!!

  • psh i fuckin agree

  • wow, one of them age 15, another playing Fall Out Boy... You two have no idea who this man is, am I right?

  • Very nice and thanks for showing off such a sweet sounding guitar...

    Trolls are losers.

  • lol nice face

  • lesson?

  • 1. It sounds like an antiques roadshow beginning

    2. Tell me wut u did when you talked about that one thing

    3. ohhh yeah! not even a lesson so sorry! my bad musta read title wrong betuz im wetahded dunh!

  • lesson????

  • Very nice! That tone almost makes it sound like jazz. I prefer my blues with a bit of dirt but I guess that would be more blues-rock.

  • Delicious performance !

  • absolute heaven

  • Thank you! Blues is beautiful!

    Tomo

  • Great stuff!!! Check my videos when you have a chance!!

  • lol

  • Excellent. As a teenager, I bought my first electric guitar, a 60-61 (?) used Duo-Sonic, in 1965. It was great ...

    Oh -- nice blues ... 8-D

    Mike H.

  • cool but not much of a lesson

  • Sure it is -- 1. Listen carefully. 2. Pick it apart.

    Mike H.

  • Just posted about that. Thanks. TF

  • Nice Duo-Sonic it reminds me of when Jimi Hendrix was with the Isley Brothers
