This is TREASON. Because he's a faggot MSNBC is going to cater to its audience and portray him as a hero who is being oppressed by the military and government. he is a traitor.
RockMonster71...You are right my true colors are, truth, honor, intergrity, honesty. Something you and your kind will never understand. This ceature promised to uphold these values and did not. Instead he used a position of trust to get personal revenage for petty slights he imagined. AND now he is being defended by small, lonely stuipid people. I can help you grow out of everything but stupid, and no one can fix stupid. And you RocLobster71 are desperately stupid.
rockRobster71.....So what Bush does means he no longer has to keep an oath he swore to keep before God, man and his country? So releasing tens of thousands of secrets that do not pretain to the war is justified? No this man is a evil criminal. He will fight to be released into a normal prison. And when he is he will be gang raped repeatedly. He will be dropped into a deep dark hole and forgotten. And in 25 or 30 years when he is finally released after a wasted life he will die a premature death.
@SGTRVN1 Wow...I really don't think I need to respond, I believe you showed your true colours there. But anyway.... crap where do I start...so this oath he swore to "God" - which one, since America is a melting pot (apparently) - I guess it's the one that believes in solitary confinement for someone who exposes the truth - and a second term for someone who lies.
Since Nuremberg, military personnel not only have a right to speak out against war crimes, they have a responsibility to do so. Bradley Manning is the world's preeminent prisoner of concience.
Lets see, this dumbass releases national secrets, betrays his oath of office, and deserts his unit. Now, we want him to have contact with anyone but his lawyers?
He will be a very old man when he gets out, if ever. What a wasted life. But most homosexuals are mentally unstable.
@SGTRVN1 Let's see, Bush lies, betrays his oath of office, deserts his country, commits genocide, illegally invades another country (well 2), and is (unfortunately) still alive.
manning is an hero. let him take place in the white house!!! he is an honest person!!! the way he is being threated is not ok in any way in the world.
Finally a true soldier with big balls who exposes the fucking Satanic Judeo Masonic piece of shit government of the Ulcered Sphincter of Asserica. God Bless you Manning justice will be done. Welcome to the Gulag bitches and if you still think that you're living in a democracy you are the reason why these swindlers/Freemasons/Zionist/Satanists are fucking you all up the ass so wake the fuck up already if you haven't taken the red pill yet. They don't like the truth leaked remember that retards.
Hay Wardog687 I was a NCO in the USAF before D.A.D.T. was ever established and even back during WWI and WWII there were gays in the military and they probably lied about it to gain entry into the Army or Navy so as to serve their country because they loved it enough to serve and being gay is no excuse for not serving. Alter all gays serve openly in foreign militaries' and it appears that the US hasn't gotten over it's Homo Phobia yet. What you do off duty, is non of their business anyway.
"Our challenge is to transform not just the way we deter and defend, but the way we conduct our daily business. Let's make no mistake: The modernization of the Department of Defense is a matter of some urgency. In fact, it could be said that it's a matter of life and death, ultimately, every American's." Donald Rumsfeld. Sept. 10, 2001. Please write your officials and demand budget reform now. They lost $2.3 trillion then $10 billion in Iraq. Stop it now.
Hay @Wardog687I don't think we're talking about war here but exposing childish comments that were classified to avoid pissing off some third world despot we may currently be in bed with. I think (DON'T AS DON'T TELL) refers to open gayness in the military. The fact that China kills whistle blowers is reprehensible but happens whether we get involved or not and these bleeding hearts in D.C. don't seem to mind sending kids into harms way.The treaty for S.P.P is the same agreement the E.U. has.
@TheDano1947 are u familiar with what the dont ask dont tell policy was?. One a Soldier dont matter if hes an officer or non commissioned officer cant ask another soldier if he or she is gay. The policy prohibited that in the US.Military. And given that soldiers come from all walks of life and have many diffrent beliefs. That policy was put in place to protect gay and lesbian soldiers. Me as a fmr Sgt i had to obey the policy towards my squad. I couldent ask em any of those questions
@Wardog687 Maybe you should listen to Mike Prysner ( I believe the spelling should be oK ) a US soldiers testimony about who really controls and decides who dies and why. You can Google can't you? When they say JUMP, you say how HOW HIGH, you're brain dead, you got a fucking bullet in your head. Just remember that next time you wanna bring " DEMOCRACY " to IRAQ by annihilating the civilian population.
@Wardog687 My understanding is that he exposed government lies, How is this treason. Our government has been lying to the American since the Fifties as an established fact. What about that Traitorous Dog Bush, who signed an agreement with Mexico and Canada to establish the N.A.U. all without the fore knowledge or consent of the American people.
@TheDano1947 First of all. In war mistakes happen. But what he did makes him an honorless coward. The only reason he did this is because he opposed the dont ask dont tell policy. Second. Given ur words on Bush. First of all Bush is out of office. He isnt gonna get prosecuted. He isnt gonna be arrested. Because for one Obama wont do it. And the Fact that ur claiming he wanted to establish a N.A.U is baseless. Ur not providing any facts or logic to ur arguement. But bradley manning will be hanged
@Wardog687 sorry to inform you fagdog but you're the faggot traitor and yet you don't even know it because you are extremely fucking stupid. Watching Family Guy, The Simpsons, South Park et cetera is not educational but rather demoralizing fucking propaganda. Are you another 40 year old retard that thinks they know it all because I already ran into 2 of them a few minutes ago and they had the same stupid dumb blind comments such as yourself.
@uskokpravi Oh im a traitor?, Im a US.Army Veteran, Where as u, Ur nothing but a hateful lefty who cant stand a diffrence of an opinion. Little wonder i support shooting leftwingers
@Wardog687 So does that also make you a Freemason? Either way, who is it that controls you? Have you ever taken the time to figure it out or are you so naive to think that you're in control? Maybe you should listen to Rage, they might help you understand. I saw that you favorited System on your page and yet you haven't got a clue what they're about or their message. You are controlled by Freemasons you fool and they are controlled by Zionist/Satanist/Jewish/Illuminati.
@uskokpravi Im controlled by nobody, Im not military anymore. I look out for myself. And seeing as to how ur just some ranting and raving prick on the internet im disreguard what u say, Because u dont know squat
@Wardog687 You are a traitor to the human race. It's too bad that you've only read Archie comics and Hugh Hefner's Playboy and nothing else and you're 33? Wow......again. Hope the Wizard of Oz hooks you up with a brain next time around.
@Wardog687 You know what? English isn't my first language and yet my ability to spell far supersedes your own. Stay in the Ulcered Sphincter of Asserica please and don't go to other countries throwing your flash bangs and grenades like they were confetti and calling it a " I'm here to bring democracy by raping and pillaging the civilian population ". Biiiiiiiiaaaaaaaattttttttttccccccchhhhhhhh.
1.INTELLIGENCE: " The tactics sound Bushian, and were executed well into the Obama administration: the message here to an army private in Britain allegedly responsible for the biggest leak of Israeli intelligence regarding captain69, is simple: If you try to be a whistle-blower exposing the lies about Captain69 being voluntary prostitution as opposed to the intelligence you discovered, then a kind of war will reign down on you (using purely media methods).
executed through the media is because they do not have the jurisdiction to lock up the person they are harrassing.
If they murder the person- the acussations of organised crime that the person made whilst alive could be upheld in an inquest.
The reason they said the program was started through the Bush regime(which sounds credible) but then continued through the Obama administration( which turned out not to be credible) WAS THE VERY REASON WHY THEY HAD TO SAY IT.
impression to their harrassee as much as possible through media tactics that ALL of America was united in being against the harrassed person and their cause(intelligence).
The intelligence was simply that CAptain69 used traffiked women. And that in no sense, could a compromised government- and indeed with a certain amount of bent members in that govt- be able to do anything about it. The toxic shame, plus threats of exposure/retribution from a media that was controlled by organised crime
meant every official & politicians' hands were tied.
It was not just Murdoch press.
It was the entire UK press, in particular, The Guardian. But also The Telegraph and The Mail.
The Duke of York scandal was a sacrificial offering. A red herring. So that Obama- ahead of his visit to UK royal family- would believe when they told him that The Establishment got attacked from the Right-wing papers just the same as his administration.
The truth is- the Duke of York does not lose anything from
Like so much that has already been seen in the Wikileak tactic –the use of affordably expendable information ( the low grade embassy cables)does no real harm to the the persons who agree for it to be used for the bigger & greater tactic.. what's the loss of suffering a slight, or even affected, embarrassment when the preservation of traffiking the worlds most beautiful women is at stake?
Either for revenue or favors for their friends. Think about it..they cant get such pussy otherwise can they? Its nothing in the grand scheme of things..just a fake scandal, that isn’t damaging in the way they purport it to be damaging anyway. But the tactic translates into a priceless, long-lived piece of PR currency for the Uk establishment -a group of men, which, blackmail or not, comes down firmly on the side of the organised crime group that is simultaneously living off
Britain made a mistake in snubbing Obama last visit. They were only behaving how they really felt, and towing the UK’s shadow govt’s political line- rather than being deliberately offensive ; but without realizing it, it played right into the right-wings’ enemies hands. It vindicated the prophet somewhat; and that is because, having been slighted, Obama mulled stuff over, & all the accusations that the hard-liners had hitherto demanded were “conspiracy theories” started to gain some ground.
3....intelligent pupil not to be raped. And so on. Just because the rightwing are careful to pick victims considered “less worthy” by them “speaking on behalf of society” as their excuse to rape- has got nothing to do with it,
And anyway, Laura main wasnt an under-achiever..she had a first degree in law and her whole life ahead of her - but this didnt stop Captain69 from targeting & murdering her because she lacked the “superior credential” of not having any parents to
2....campaigner, then you will have cracked what the coalition of
patriarchal, greedy and psychopathic forces are up to in their efforts to maintain humorous morale for their illegal business . Why they need posters to send up the notions of their enemies. Or rather the misquoted notions of their enemies.
Having a particular rank in the military has go nothing to do with equal human rights. Achieving more at school has got nothing to do with having more rights than a less
Being against sex traffiking is not incompatible with a belief in meritocracy or the equal right to life regardless of sex race, creed etc. That is in the American constitution & UK law as it is written.
I dont know about Israel. They are not exactly hot on human rights or the position of women. Why should we listen to their values?
If you can fathom the need to use a forcibly drug-addicted, enslaved twink to lampoon the efforts of an anti-traffiking
LET THIS BE A MESSAGE TO ALL OF YOU USELESS TOOLS OUT THERE. TRAITORS NEED TO BE STRUCK DOWN HARD WITH A MIGHTY VENGEANCE. I HOPE THEY GIVE HIM THE DEATH SENTENCE. AND ALL OF YOU WIKITARDS SOMETIMES THERE IS THINGS YOU JUST DO NOT NEED TO KNOW BECAUSE YOU ARE PUCCYS AND CAN NOT HANDLE THE TRUTH. FOR ALL YOU RETARDS THAT HATE YOUR COUNTRY WHY DON'T YOU JUST TAKE A TRIP TO LIBYA OR EGYPT.
@lushfauna YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT WOULD SAY YOU BROTHER DID NOT DO IT EVEN IF HE WAS A PEDOPHILE AND LIKED LITTLE BOYS! WHY DO YOU SUPPORT TERRORIST? WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR COUNTRY? GO OUT AND BUY YOUR APPLE PRODUCTS AND FOLLOW THE SHEEP.
@rockhound694u I don't hate the US I hate what it's becoming. See your the one completely backwards every time I see a dead kid from anywhere I want to punish those who did it. Be they from any where including Israel and the US. Your the sheeple because you believe the "NEWS" which has brainwashed you- What's apple got to do with it?
@lushfauna BECAUSE PEOPLE THAT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS ARE RETARDED!! DUH!! SO WOULD YOU RATHER LIVE IN KOSOVO OR SOMALIA?? PEOPLE LIKE YOU TAKE WHAT YOU HAVE FOR GRANTED IN THE USA. SURE THINGS COULD BE BETTER BUT BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU GOT!! IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR COUNTRY THEN PLEASE MOVE TO AFRICA AND SEE IF YOU LIKE THAT??
@rockhound694u My point is we are rapidly becoming Kosovo- You talk sh!t then you go to Walmart- THATS WHAT YOU ARE WAVING YOUR CHINA MADE AMERICAN FLAG DREWLING AT THE MOUTH- U KNOW SHIT
@lushfauna I WOULD NOT SHOP AT WALFART WITH YOUR WALLET AND MY AMERICAN FLAG WAS MADE IN THE MIDWEST YOU RETARDED CAVE TROLL. MAY YOU HAVE A TSUNAMI IN YOUR A s s.
@rockhound694u well on some issues maybe we are closer than I thought but my only advise is stop believing the media Faux/cnn/msnbc- all of it
You just repeat what they say if you think about it- Manning is a hero the wars are B.S. what's not to get? The establishment is rife with corruption at every level the American worker has been sold out to our future enemies- We need people like wikileaks and Brad manning to Man Up! u should too. Your defending a criminal mafia system that's dying anyway.
@lushfauna YOU ARE A MORON AND STILL DO NOT GET IT. I NEVER SAID I AGREE WITH WHERE WE ARE SENDING SOLDIERS. IF I HAD MY SAY THEY WOULD STILL BE IN THE STATES. LET THOSE RETARDED COUNTRYS KILL THEMSELVES FOR ALL I CARE. BUT, IF A SOLDIER IS SENT SOMEWHERE OR HAS INFORMATION THAT IS NOT FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC HE BETTER HAVE THE HONOR TO DO WHAT NEEDS DONE AND NOT BLAB LIKE A SCHOOL CHILD. HE SHOULD BE JUST SHOT. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!! SO MAYBE YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH!!
@rockhound694u 10 freaken years of this B.S. When will it stop? It's corruption keeping them there and they just stand around like a target. Where's the enemy? We are broke it's like a few guys with box cutters brought down the whole world. Most of the terrorist where from Saudi Arabia anyways but we are everywhere else it's all B.S.
RU clueless. What's the bigger wrong what he did or the B.S. wars killing well over a million and a half people all together?
President Obama should ban military courts. The role of the military is to defend the country, not to perform judicial functions. Soldiers should be tried in civilian courts. The military is part of the executive branch and the congress could not prevent such a decision. Mr. President, please BAN MILITARY COURTS!
FUCK YOU Olberman! You commy fucker! By the way, DOUCHEBAG, he ain't a soldier anymore! He, and his parents all NEED to be put in front of a firing squad! As should you, you luke-warm piece of shit! Too fucking bad for him. I hope they put water on his cell floor and send mild current thru it! You don't like it here in America Olberman, than GET FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY!~ Take that faggot Mathews with you!
@Magnimammen I like Olberman, but he is way off base on this. Manning is not being abused or tortured. He is a rockstar of military prisoners, and the bosses(we the people) are watching. As a retired soldier, I think he is a traitor. He hid his deception(lady Gaga marked cd) and leaked it to someone who's only intention is to embarrass the US. Manning rose his hand, swore an oath, and broke it. That oath was to the American people, not Assange, or WikiLeaks. He wanted attention, so be it.
@nickfiscool So you'd rather not know what was really going on? If evidence of the U.S. governments involvement in the 9/11 attacks were to ever come to light, would you be opposed to that?
I would like to know what really happend, but the whole point im bringing up is that he should be killed because He commited treason in a time of war. He knew if he did this that he could be punished by death.
@nickfiscool What exactly has Bradley Manning done to charge him with treason? There is not one piece of evidence that links him to the leaks of any of those file. The files that were leaked did nothing to put our country in harms way. The files brought to light the corruption of the U.S. government and military. Now I don't know you enough to judge you completely, but I will say people like you who'd rather not know the truth are the reason the U.S. gets away with what they do.
@bp56789 He signed a contract. He pledged that you would protect the united states from enemies foreign and domestic, he was told what would happend if he revealed secret and top secret documents. He knew at the time he did it that you could be punished by death since we are at war. Its not like he did it accidently, he purposfully did it. So in the end I hope they give him the death penelty.
@bp56789 they will put him on trial, he will be found guilty, and he will be put to death. I may be an ignorant piece of shit but I'm the reason you have the right to say what the fuck you want. So how about you shut the fuck up and go crawl back under the rock you came from and work you fast food job and suck it up.
@nickfiscool Oh yeah trial him after seven months, that seems fucking reasonable. And YOU are specifically the reason for my free speech, so you go ahead and take credit for your forefather's work--then you piss all over the Constitution. And I don't work at a fast food joint, which apparently would make me unworthy of your 'precious' time.
@nickfiscool I'm a student, and don't have time for work. And quite frankly you have no counter-argument so you're just using ad hominem arguments--logical fallacy, you lose cockface.
@bp56789 I could give to shits about you being a student. When you actually do your country a favor and join the military then i'll consider you to be smart. You sound like one of those fags who thinks this kid is a hero. This kid and his supporters are fuckin idiots.
@nickfiscool So by your own admission, because he joined the army he is a hero? And let me guess you are failing at school (or have already got shit marks because you're half retarded) and now you are planing to join the army and now you know your army has committed war crimes and killed literally hundreds of thousands of people with the justification of less than three thousand killed in the word trade center attack. Am I right?
@bp56789 I will never consider this kid a hero. He's a criminal. I have a B average, and I admit thats kinda shitty, but I work full time so I cant focus 100% on school. I would never join the army because they are a bunch of idiots. They let anyone in like bradley manning. The people who commit war crimes get their punishment, you may not see it but it does get dealt with. Youre a moron.
@nickfiscool " join the military then i'll consider you to be smart." then you say "I would never join the army because they are a bunch of idiot" fuck you're a dumb cunt, stop responding. Wikileaks has only released documents 7 months old, nobody has died because of this release over 109,000 iraqi "casualties" have occurred and if you actually saw the "collateral murder" video you know that these aren't accidents. Is an American life worth more than a Iraqi's?
No people who commit war crimes clearly DON'T get punished, because if that were true Tony Blair and George Bush would be in prison, and this young man would be free.
What it all boils down to is that a person let us see this disgusting act of murder by these soldiers, that the army was covering up, and as a consequence he's being treated as an animal and some people want him to be executed. Imagine if this happened to someone in China or Russia. Y'all know what the reactions would be.
This isn't whistleblowing. In 500,000 files, not one illegal file or report of misconduct by American forces. Bradley manning signed a nondisclosure agreement. If evidence at his courts martial shows that he was the leak - he will do 50 years of solitary confinement at maximum security lockup. FBI agent Robert Hanssen is doing a solitary life sentance at supermax for releasing intelligence to the Soviets - Manning knew what he was facing by leaking intelligence - we all know in the community.
@fuzzywuzy 1. You have obviously missed that he leaked a video of American soldiers killing innocent civilians and having a laugh about it. 2. Just because he knew he was gonna get hell, it doesn't make what's done to him right. 3. There's a huge difference between giving information to "the enemy" and letting the public know about what happened to the victims of these so called soldiers.
@beeswaxlike The motive for leaking, whether for money or idealism, is inconsequential according to law... and we are a republic governed by law.
Chmaugh was one of the best combat photographers in Iraq. To be such, you have to be there when the fight is happening - in other words, complicit with the insurgency.
@fuzzywuzy Ya, but there's one little problem- The wars are complete B.S. so that makes him a hero in the eyes of most people. You and yours in the "community" have helped to turn this once great nation into a sh!thole- Or maybe you where to busy looking at kiddy porn or helping to cover up 911
Military intelligence two words combined that cant make sense (Dave Mustain)

I'm pretty sure most of the guys saying dumb things like - "well that's what you get" are either A.) CIA or B.) idiotic tea-party types that don't understand how governments need to be accountable.
Wow, okay, you seem a little bi-polar. I left my opinion why it's not torture, and you called me a unevolved, "braindead idiot." Now you implore me to express myself. It's just a little confusing.
My original comment pretty much summed why Manning's treatment was not torture. Whether the leaks are good or not, one is not exempt from the law because some people think you are martyr. Let's not blow this out of proportion, because Michael Moore or The Guardian throws a fit, that's their shtick.
@marlboroman1985 Micheal Moore ran a short clip in Fahrenheit 9/11 showing Arab farmers, in a field, around a tractor, getting shot up by an Apachie. I was familiar with that clip and wondered why he didn't show the footage 30 seconds prior - when they were placing an RPG in the ditch and pacing the distance to the road.
I began to question the honesty of that "documentary" - so I watched FahrenHYPE 9/11... it was a documentary of everyone in the previous one - saying how deceptive Moore was.
MSNBC Countdown is a Valve , a small one compared to the collective news media , that complicity keeps Bradley Manning out of regular news cycle , bcs they know damn well his mental health is deteriorating but they are in Bed w/ the Gov.
Just a thought , im no big fan of KO but hes allowed to say what he does to a certain point and any idiot can see he has limits , like the occupation should end and aLL troops com home .
So when they boot him , limited opposition we R in deep sHIT
@DeejayRob71 These evil men - who might as well be considered as criminally insane - are at one with the uber Fascists of Opus Dei. That is reality, not 'conspiracy'. They are colluding with evil men, hiding beneath the skirts of organized religion (yet who do NOT believe in God), to mentally/spiritually deceive men.
Brad IS being tortured. As 'revenge' & to make an example of him.
@DeejayRob71 From the days of the Regan administration to the present, the majority of Cabinet appointees & those in key Administration positions have been de facto Collaborators/Cooperators with Opus Dei.Including GHW Bush, Rumsfield & Cheney.
One need not be Catholic or Christian or even a Theist to be a Collaborator with OD. They ran Francoist Spain, Latin America,Poland & virtually have the US now.....
I'm disgusted by the hitler youth who malign Brad Manning and pretend they know more about the law, prison and torture than experts. David House, Rowley, Ellsberg, McGovern, Greenwald and Coombs know a hell of a lot more about Brad's situation than you SS wannabes do. You don't give a damn about our constitutional rights. Brad does and proved it. He willingly risked his life to defend our right to know the truth. He'll be a legend long after you "good Germans" are dead and forgotten.
You're not supposed to give newborns a pillow or blankets, either, that's not torture. And realizing that he'll spend possibly the rest of his life in prison, I'm guessing the anti-depressants are probably for the best. When you commit espionage you have to expect the worst treatment possible if you get caught, which he was too stupid or vain to realize. I'm guessing the solitary is to ensure no crybaby complains he got murdered or raped by another prisoner while in detention, like Dahmer.
@marlboroman1985 congratulations on being the "Braindead Moron of the Week", what an idiotic comment, please go back to swinging in the trees or crawl back under that rock, maybe evolution will come to you one day.....but I doubt it....
@marlboroman1985 at what stage did I mention the CIA, Zionists or tin foil hat? I'll be fucked if I am going to just sit quietly and say "well it's not me, it's not my country, what do I care". Murderers, Rapists and Paedophiles don't even get treated like this. This guy should be a hero for standing up and saying "this isn't right, people need to know about this". If you have something intelligent and informative to say on this subject, please fire away - that's what we do in a free society
I got him beat. spent years in solitary, got beaten to a pulp while sitting on my hands and had mt head forced through a window by a gay lieutenant. anyone that was watching that late night mad rush too pass the sex offender laws in America saw for themselves that the point of order was called & ignored by the speaker. The sex laws in America are bogus. & then our out going waffle man Governor Schwarzenegger pushed a law that was illegal & will have to be revisited, and too hell with sex laws
Thank you Keith Olbermann!!! Pfc Bradley Manning is the latter-day saviour of the World, but only if the rest of us do our part! (Sorry, Christians, but I'm talking temporal salvation here: cutting off World War 3 at the pass!)
First thing to be done is that Bradley is allowed the full capacity of his mental faculties at his court-martial (we have to lobby to ensure he even has a trial!!) and all evidence is presented so he'll have a fair trial where I have no doubt he'll be acquitted! (1/2)
(2/2) We must ensure that the conditions of his confinement restores his menatl and physical health in accoredance with UCMJ Article 13! For that article states that no pre-trial prisoner be subjected to confinement more rigourous than that required to ensure his presence at his trail! How can one be 'present' if one is mentally not there??? In the case of Manning, this Article is clearly being violated and I am convinced that Holder and Obama have somethiung to do withn this!! Get involved!!!
(2/2) Or even arguing whether or not he should be held without bail in the first place. The only point I'm trying to raise is that solitary confinement is NOT a synonym for torture, and that having been in that situation, I can not in good conscience call it "inhumane." I was fed, given books, and allowed to watch cable TV during the day. Like PFC Manning, I too was given limited visitation rights and was checked on throughout the day.
(1/2) The charge I got was for growing a marijuana plant. Not a violent crime, and I don't complain about doing the time for it, because I did, in fact, do it. (Whether or not I think it should be a crime) As I said before, 5 months of the time I spent was before trial -- PFC Manning has been without trial 2 months longer. I'm not arguing the merits of what I did or what Manning allegedly did
Anyway, the point I was making is that I didn't think that solitary confinement was all that bad. It certainly wasn't fun by any stretch of the imagination, and definitely qualified as boring -- but torture? Not by a long shot. As I mentioned before, PFC Manning is probably safer at this point in solitary than he is in general population or on the open streets.
@sramsay85 11 months for a 5 pointed star on your arm? Seems a little far fetched that you did NOT complain. Anyways you were convicted and Brad hasn't even been charged. I will tell you right now that solitary is not a safe place for many people. You may have found it bearable in your solitary but there are many cases of people going insane. I don't like the fact that the government can put someone in 7 months of solitary confinement without even showing evidence that the person is who he is.
I didn't get 11 months for my tattoo, I got 11 months for growing pot. The tattoo, which is widely recognized as gang insignia, put the corrections staff in a position where they assumed I was a gang member. In most corrections facilities (mine included), it is policy to segregate gang members from gen pop. This is to avoid fights between inmates. I didn't feel discriminated against because of it, and truthfully, didn't really want to hang out with violent criminals in
@sramsay85 Oh, I was about to be horribly outraged that you received 11 months in solitary for a tattoo. Manning however recieves no books, no visits, 23 hours in his cell and no exercise within his cell. He has no blankets and no pillow. We do not even have evidence that the person they are holding his Brad. He has been like this for 7 months and should be brought to a prison in America.
The one point that I think everyone, regardless of how you feel about the allegations tagainst PFC manning can agree on is that he needs to be at a minimum in a prison on American soil. As to the conditions of his solitary confinement, I stand that it amounts largely to a matter of the privates safety. I can all but guarentee that given the opportunity he would be targeted by other inmates. It may not be right, but it's reality.
It's not cool at all, but again, most places won't give blankets to people showing signs of depression. On the surface, it seems cruel as hell, but the truth is that upwards of 70% of inmate suicides involve hanging yourself with your blanket. There was a sex offender a few cells down from me that hung himself after a family visit. Still, that seems sketchy to me unless he has showed some sort of suicidal conduct or said something suicidal.
@sramsay85 He has been on anti-depressants because of his solitary confinement. So I can see why they don't give him a blanket, I guess my problem is the treatment he is getting BEFORE trials or accusations.
@sramsay85 Excuse me, but he is in a military prison!!! They keep a tight ship in militaryu prison, something which privatised State Penitentiaries - where violence and same sex rape are huge problems - can learn something from!!!
General population anyways. So, I just kind of went with it. Like I said before, I spent most of my time reading, writing letters, and watching entertainment tonight. It wasn't too bad. I didn't have to share a shower or a toilet, and in a lot of ways, I was freer than the guys in gen pop. I'm just saying, if they put PFC Manning in gen pop and he wound up getting killed by other inmates, the media would be clammoring that he should have been placed in a seg unit.
In my case, the county jail I was at had a policy of placing suspected gang members in seg by default. I wasn't and have never been a gang member, but have a 5-pointed star on my left arm. I can understand where it would be reasonable to assume a 5-point star is gang related, so I didn't complain. Besides, I'd rather not have to try to explain it to a cell full of gangbangers, hoping for the best.
The real drugs are likely full of side discussing destructive side effects. The totalitarian notion of this treatment is telling as to how controlling the venders and profiteers of war. Prosecuting whistle blowers...its time to ask Mr. Obama to answer for these missteps.
Hey Ahmadinejad say he has no gays in all of Iran, I would like too send him our best regards during this holiday season and not be any burden by saying peace dude.
@222RL I've never said this before but fuck Obama for at least not stopping these actions IF he didn't sign the order. If he did than fuck that guy. He is a criminal just like Bush, disgusting. Let's start a militia and break him out! Someone has to.
@Biggungobang For what? For standing up to protect and defend the Constitution and holding faith and allegiance to it when the rest of his Oath would require him to violate same? Look at what he's revealed: the corrosive effects beyond our borders of unlimited US government! There is a reason why war crimes are called WAR CRIMES: they are violations of treaties and international laws that OUR SENATE has ratified. The Constitution says: when a treaty is ratified, it becomes THE LAW OF THE LAND.
Torture? Thats laughable. Having served time in solitary, I can tell you that it isn't nearly as bad as they are making it sound. This guy has cable TV, books, and doesn't have to deal with the animals in gen pop.
I'm not saying he's guilty or not, thats the job of a judge or jury. All I'm saying is this guy is probably safer in solitary confinement than he would be if he were out on the street. There are a lot of people out there who don't believe in innocence until proven guilty
@sramsay85 1/2 The longer the solitary, the more it becomes torture because it irrevocably damages the mind and the psyche. How long were you in solitary? The Private has been in solitary for 7 MONTHS. Every five minutes they ask him over a speaker, "Are you okay?" and he has to answer. He has nine hours of sleep time each night, but they leave the overhead light on. And if he pulls the blanket over his eyes or rolls over to face the wall in his sleep, they wake him up. That's sleep deprivation.
@sramsay85 2/2 And some friends of his are reporting that his mental and physical health are weakening. Read the Glenn Greenwald article at Salon dot com and "A Typical Day for PFC Bradley Manning" on The Law Offices of David E. Coombs blog. (armycourtmartialdefense dot info). His confinement conditions are inviolation of UCMJ Article 13. Even the Army's SJA office is trying to get the conditions of his confinement ameliorated. He has not yet been tried. Were you in solitary before conviction?
@EdM021 Served 11 months in solitary, 4 months longer than PFC Bradley manning -- 5 of which were served pre-trial (though at my own behest, to give my attorney time to prepare my defense)
The conditions you are describing are the standard at most any jail in the country --- military or civilian. My experience was very similar. If they outrage you, thats fine; but know that PFC Manning is not recieving any especially cruel treatment. Those are the rules for anybody in solitary.
This is TREASON. Because he's a faggot MSNBC is going to cater to its audience and portray him as a hero who is being oppressed by the military and government. he is a traitor.

I think (DON'T AS DON'T TELL) refers to open gayness in the military. The fact that China kills whistle blowers is reprehensible but happens whether we get involved or not and these bleeding hearts in D.C. don't seem to mind sending kids into harms way.The treaty for S.P.P is the same agreement the E.U. has.
TheDano1947 11 months ago
@TheDano1947 are u familiar with what the dont ask dont tell policy was?. One a Soldier dont matter if hes an officer or non commissioned officer cant ask another soldier if he or she is gay. The policy prohibited that in the US.Military. And given that soldiers come from all walks of life and have many diffrent beliefs. That policy was put in place to protect gay and lesbian soldiers. Me as a fmr Sgt i had to obey the policy towards my squad. I couldent ask em any of those questions

executed through the media is because they do not have the jurisdiction to lock up the person they are harrassing.
They hd to give the
MoonAharshMistress 11 months ago
impression to their harrassee as much as possible through media tactics that ALL of America was united in being against the harrassed person and their cause(intelligence).

MoonAharshMistress 11 months ago
Either for revenue or favors for their friends. Think about it..they cant get such pussy otherwise can they? Its nothing in the grand scheme of things..just a fake scandal, that isn’t damaging in the way they purport it to be damaging anyway. But the tactic translates into a priceless, long-lived piece of PR currency for the Uk establishment -a group of men, which, blackmail or not, comes down firmly on the side of the organised crime group that is simultaneously living off
MoonAharshMistress 11 months ago
the Uk AND trying to bring down the Obama administration back home in the States.
. Obama will then say- ‘but why? And how does going to all these lengths, maintain the strength of a group that is trying to bring me down?”
Its very simple. To gain Obama’s trust.
They often wheel the Queen, or a royal story, out to do this very thing. This is Britain remember, and spectacle and double game is all they know.

Wikileaks has only released documents 7 months old, nobody has died because of this release over 109,000 iraqi "casualties" have occurred and if you actually saw the "collateral murder" video you know that these aren't accidents. What it all boils down to is that a person let us see this disgusting act of murder by these soldiers, that the army was covering up, and as a consequence he's being treated as an animal and some people want him to be executed. Imagine if this happened to someone in China or Russia. Y'all know what the reactions would be.

@beeswaxlike yes, american hypocrisy is rampant.
tarjay35 1 year ago
This isn't whistleblowing. In 500,000 files, not one illegal file or report of misconduct by American forces. Bradley manning signed a nondisclosure agreement. If evidence at his courts martial shows that he was the leak - he will do 50 years of solitary confinement at maximum security lockup. FBI agent Robert Hanssen is doing a solitary life sentance at supermax for releasing intelligence to the Soviets - Manning knew what he was facing by leaking intelligence - we all know in the community.
fuzzywuzy 1 year ago
@fuzzywuzy 1. You have obviously missed that he leaked a video of American soldiers killing innocent civilians and having a laugh about it. 2. Just because he knew he was gonna get hell, it doesn't make what's done to him right. 3. There's a huge difference between giving information to "the enemy" and letting the public know about what happened to the victims of these so called soldiers.
beeswaxlike 1 year ago
@beeswaxlike The motive for leaking, whether for money or idealism, is inconsequential according to law... and we are a republic governed by law.
Chmaugh was one of the best combat photographers in Iraq. To be such, you have to be there when the fight is happening - in other words, complicit with the insurgency.

Let's not blow this out of proportion, because Michael Moore or The Guardian throws a fit, that's their shtick.
marlboroman1985 1 year ago
@marlboroman1985 Micheal Moore ran a short clip in Fahrenheit 9/11 showing Arab farmers, in a field, around a tractor, getting shot up by an Apachie. I was familiar with that clip and wondered why he didn't show the footage 30 seconds prior - when they were placing an RPG in the ditch and pacing the distance to the road.
I began to question the honesty of that "documentary" - so I watched FahrenHYPE 9/11... it was a documentary of everyone in the previous one - saying how deceptive Moore was.

One need not be Catholic or Christian or even a Theist to be a Collaborator with OD. They ran Francoist Spain, Latin America,Poland & virtually have the US now.....

Manning is obviously being tortured & treated inhumanely. And he has not even been tried, much less convicted of a crime.
He is also openly gay-which may factor into his maltreatment by the military.

EdM021 1 year ago 2
(2/2) We must ensure that the conditions of his confinement restores his menatl and physical health in accoredance with UCMJ Article 13! For that article states that no pre-trial prisoner be subjected to confinement more rigourous than that required to ensure his presence at his trail! How can one be 'present' if one is mentally not there??? In the case of Manning, this Article is clearly being violated and I am convinced that Holder and Obama have somethiung to do withn this!! Get involved!!!
EdM021 1 year ago
(2/2) Or even arguing whether or not he should be held without bail in the first place. The only point I'm trying to raise is that solitary confinement is NOT a synonym for torture, and that having been in that situation, I can not in good conscience call it "inhumane." I was fed, given books, and allowed to watch cable TV during the day. Like PFC Manning, I too was given limited visitation rights and was checked on throughout the day.
sramsay85 1 year ago
(1/2) The charge I got was for growing a marijuana plant. Not a violent crime, and I don't complain about doing the time for it, because I did, in fact, do it. (Whether or not I think it should be a crime) As I said before, 5 months of the time I spent was before trial -- PFC Manning has been without trial 2 months longer. I'm not arguing the merits of what I did or what Manning allegedly did
sramsay85 1 year ago
Anyway, the point I was making is that I didn't think that solitary confinement was all that bad. It certainly wasn't fun by any stretch of the imagination, and definitely qualified as boring -- but torture? Not by a long shot. As I mentioned before, PFC Manning is probably safer at this point in solitary than he is in general population or on the open streets.
sramsay85 1 year ago
@sramsay85 11 months for a 5 pointed star on your arm? Seems a little far fetched that you did NOT complain. Anyways you were convicted and Brad hasn't even been charged. I will tell you right now that solitary is not a safe place for many people. You may have found it bearable in your solitary but there are many cases of people going insane. I don't like the fact that the government can put someone in 7 months of solitary confinement without even showing evidence that the person is who he is.
SmogHouseTradingCo 1 year ago
@SmogHouseTradingCo
I didn't feel discriminated against because of it, and truthfully, didn't really want to hang out with violent criminals in
sramsay85 1 year ago

It may not be right, but it's reality.
sramsay85 1 year ago
@sramsay85 Give the brother a blanket if he might be innocent at least.
SmogHouseTradingCo 1 year ago
@SmogHouseTradingCo
Still, that seems sketchy to me unless he has showed some sort of suicidal conduct or said something suicidal.
sramsay85 1 year ago
@sramsay85 He has been on anti-depressants because of his solitary confinement. So I can see why they don't give him a blanket, I guess my problem is the treatment he is getting BEFORE trials or accusations.
SmogHouseTradingCo 1 year ago
@sramsay85 Excuse me, but he is in a military prison!!! They keep a tight ship in militaryu prison, something which privatised State Penitentiaries - where violence and same sex rape are huge problems - can learn something from!!!

@SmogHouseTradingCo
General population anyways. So, I just kind of went with it. Like I said before, I spent most of my time reading, writing letters, and watching entertainment tonight. It wasn't too bad. I didn't have to share a shower or a toilet, and in a lot of ways, I was freer than the guys in gen pop. I'm just saying, if they put PFC Manning in gen pop and he wound up getting killed by other inmates, the media would be clammoring that he should have been placed in a seg unit.
sramsay85 1 year ago
@sramsay85 .
Exactly right. For now it's primarily for his safety I'd say
Searching4Truth1 1 year ago
In my case, the county jail I was at had a policy of placing suspected gang members in seg by default. I wasn't and have never been a gang member, but have a 5-pointed star on my left arm. I can understand where it would be reasonable to assume a 5-point star is gang related, so I didn't complain. Besides, I'd rather not have to try to explain it to a cell full of gangbangers, hoping for the best.

EdM021 1 year ago
There are a lot of people out there who don't believe in innocence until proven guilty
sramsay85 1 year ago
@sramsay85 1/2 The longer the solitary, the more it becomes torture because it irrevocably damages the mind and the psyche. How long were you in solitary? The Private has been in solitary for 7 MONTHS. Every five minutes they ask him over a speaker, "Are you okay?" and he has to answer. He has nine hours of sleep time each night, but they leave the overhead light on. And if he pulls the blanket over his eyes or rolls over to face the wall in his sleep, they wake him up. That's sleep deprivation.
EdM021 1 year ago
@sramsay85 2/2 And some friends of his are reporting that his mental and physical health are weakening. Read the Glenn Greenwald article at Salon dot com and "A Typical Day for PFC Bradley Manning" on The Law Offices of David E. Coombs blog. (armycourtmartialdefense dot info). His confinement conditions are inviolation of UCMJ Article 13. Even the Army's SJA office is trying to get the conditions of his confinement ameliorated. He has not yet been tried. Were you in solitary before conviction?
EdM021 1 year ago
@EdM021 Served 11 months in solitary, 4 months longer than PFC Bradley manning -- 5 of which were served pre-trial (though at my own behest, to give my attorney time to prepare my defense)
The conditions you are describing are the standard at most any jail in the country --- military or civilian. My experience was very similar. If they outrage you, thats fine; but know that PFC Manning is not recieving any especially cruel treatment. Those are the rules for anybody in solitary.
