Random question. Someone just gave me a pioneer pl 111z. It has 2 rca out and the it looks like the other wire has been ripped off at the end. Where does this thing get power from. thanks in advance, BTW sweet getup you have goin there.

As far as I can mke out the PL111Z is meant to be part of a hifisystem and took power from the main unit...I attached a 300MA universal mains adapter to the power input and was surprised that it worked, better still - reversing polarity reverses the turntable and different voltages give different speeds! it's worked fine for a number of years now, though when I did this to a JVC it only lasted a couple of months...
