im looking to go touring at the end of the year im looking for a cheap cnftorble and resonable powerful tourer that is around the 8 grand mark any suggestions also im on my ls in nsw australia so suggestions that i can legally ride would be great
I have an 08 fireblade and I also had this bike and, in many ways, I prefer this bike when it comes to comfort, pillion and luggage which are important for touring. This is the best bang for the buck out there by far (no less and no more, the perfect measure) And it's beautiful :) I was able to ride out of some hairy situations with it too where I was forced to go off the road by other vehicles or pushed against a curb, or almost highsiding in the rain.
Iv'e just picked a 2005 CBF 500 ABS to ride on a charity bike ride... 93000miles... yes 93000miles on the clock.. still feels like new and rides great.. Honda make em last!
the music is from "deftones" and if i am right its the song "be quiet and drive".
to be honest, i no longer ride a cbf 500. i sold it last month and bought a kawasaki versys. the cbf is still a great bike, but the new one is even better. :-)
"moto x bars"? i got an lsl-superbike bar (if i understood you right). it got the medium size with a broadness of 760mm. there was no need to change any lines, neither the on for the bowden cable nor the one for the brake. you just have to drill the holes for the lock against rotation.
thats my next bike

how are the brakes? It has ABS, doesn't it?
I would like to get me one..but i want to find out first all the differences between the 500 an 600cc.
Can you tell me some differences please?
Thanks!

hi there...
i sold the bike 2 years ago, so my memory may trick me, but i think the breaks were sufficent, not the best, but sufficent. and of cours it had ABS.
despite the max. horsepower difference? hmm... the 2 zylinder sounds better.

hawkwind999 2 years ago
what stabalisers? you mean for the handlebar?
man, you got some strange questions...
(btw do you mean stabilisers? even though i still have no idea what you want.)
raihdo 2 years ago
it is a wind up !!stabilisers are what you put on a kiddies back wheel ie 2 wheels either side to make the bike mre safer
hawkwind999 2 years ago
why should you do that on a motorbike? well sir, you are kind of weird... but never mind.
i also dont know if that is possible.

nice. i notice you have moto x bars, are they hard to fit? i have a hornet 900, it looks like it has a similar bar attachment.
