I have to say I'm suprised. I thought Obama would dominate Clinton but she did end up pulling a couple of good arguments out. I like Obama's policy on immigration while Clinton gave a pretty good troop withdrawal statement. I will have a hard time at the caususes today.

its clear from the republican debates that the old saying "choosing a lesser of two evils" comes from the republicans. its not until they join in that candidates have to resort to defending their character against mudslinging and (in the case of both of GWB's debates, flat out lies about what they say they can accomplish and what he actually can). clearly, the democrats have a greater respect for their opponents and it is DESERVED.

Well i am sorry to state that this is not the classical government that you want to praise here.. but the modern government. Slavery is not the issue at stake here.

Racism and other things including poverty, health care, and other things to EMPOWER the peoples of the US.

And to the whole bit that the emancipation proclamation was to free and give citizenship to all slaves... that is only partially true (if not hardly)..

Lincoln did not believe in freement of slaves because it would tear our country apart. The EP was only to help in promoting the end of the slavery movement and bring both sides of the country together to eventually end slavery... slowly. All sides were in relation to slavery, and there were equal amounts of dems and republicans for both abolition and for the keeping of slavery in the country at that time.

But those are non sensical issues to be bringing up in a debate that has been needed since the anti-slavery movement.

With the sense that this IS the 21st century.. those are the issues of the past.. we need to worry about our future.. that is what is at stake here. The democratic party is bringing up key issues that need to be stated and that are to be deliberated in a timely and consistant manner.

The Democrats grasp more firmly on the idea of the government FOR the PEOPLE.. as it has been stated before that is what it is SUPPOSED TO BE!! do u have any idea how much they would have 2 raise taxes 2 provide universal health care 2 300 million people. people wouldn't be able 2 send thier kids 2 collage for 1 thing. look at canadas health care, the actual treatment is good but it takes 6 months to a year just 2 get a doctors appointment. canadians with terminal illnes come 2 the US because they can't get the health care they need in canada. 4 some its to late cause they don't get treated in time. universal healthcare will never work.
