@AWDfreak I had to ground a pin on my '93 first, then I put a switch in so I can turn it off if wanted. Before I had grounded the pin, I had to pretty much slam the gas to the floor to get power mode. In regards to the light, there wasn't one in a '99 Legacy gt I drove a few times, it did have power mode though. I think power mode is the best mod for any 4EAT Subaru, takes the car from average family car to sporty family car with plenty of go power.

Sounds pretty cool. I love the way you can feel a big kick in the H6 engine at about 3Krpm, almost feels like it has a turbo when it does.

Well if he has the exhaust taken off only behind the rear differential then he still has enough backpressure to keep the motor from being harmed. As in lets say a burnt valve.. His engine will be fine..

Boxer is the same as flat/horizontal, just another word for it. This is a boxer six, they make boxer fours as well, but all can be called flat, horizontal, or boxer motors - just personal preference.

Ah, that's funny then. I once was going to look at an SVX but heard lots of stories about that crappy transmission overheating.

Still, how do you own a Subaru and then act like you have no idea that a flat motor is the same as a horizontal motor and get bitchy when someone tells you the answer - assuming you're a knowledgeless clown like most people out there who don't know an alternator from a power steering pump.

there is a difference between horozontally opposed motors and boxer motors... it's to do with the way that the pistons are attached to the crank... in a horazontally opposed motor opposing pistons move in the same direction (left or right) at the same time... in a boxer motor opposing pistons move out at the same time and in at the same time...

Horizontally opposed is a boxer motor, its the same thing but a different name :) The pitsons all shoot outward from the center. just inagine a V6 or V8 thats been flattened from the top by a crusher.
