  • Burps sound better than flurbs.

  • hey do you plug this through the front or an effects loop?

  • @aektzis91 Through the fx loop for dirty sounds. I would only go through the front if the amp is clean.

  • Very good demo, I'm getting one. I'll try to keep it off the floor.

  • what's the first song you play ?

i have a holy grail nano, i play it through a blackstar hp5 and it just sounds fantastic !

  • That's just one of my stock licks nothing in particular. generic jangle. maybe? lol

  • Sounds Like , Havana Affair By RHCP

  • Yes!!! Matt Parkman plays a Les Paul!!!

Haha! Just kidding dude. Excellent demo. I am an analog guy, but this pedal is one of the few that would make me cross the river. Nice stuff. I really want one.

Thanks for the vid. Rock on.

  • Hey I do kinda look like that guy from Heroes! Yeah E-H does the digital thing really well, and the technology is at the point where it can really give the analog stuff a run for its money. thanks for the comment!

  • Real Fender spring reverb sounds better thant this digital thing.

  • yeah but how much better?

  • Quite a bit... I think reverb is an effect that shouldn't be emulated.

  • Of course real springs sound better. It doesn't mean this sounds bad.

  • ditto!

  • I hear you, I actually have the Holy Grail Plus. It's good, but it doesn't do justice for surf rock guitarists who love that fender spring reverb, when kicked on

  • I agree, the reverb on some of those Fender amps is amazing.

  • HEADPHONES?

  • Very nice review. I do wish the camera was focuses on you playing the guiter though. I feel like you are staring at me...LOL ;)

  • great vid mate. thanks for keepin' it simple

  • hey man nice review , i play a lot of blues and im looking for a reverb pedal should i buy this one or go for the boss rv-5?

  • the boss pedal is definitely more reliable but I find the Holy Grail to be more "vibey".

  • Hey this is a really great vid chuck. I've been wanting some kind of unbiased demo of this pedal and i'm best impressed with it!

    cheers m8!

    Bethx

  • much appreciated!

  • Could you play some surf licks man? Just wanna hear that reverb power in a surf rock context :)

  • frank black

  • Holy Grail is a great reverb!! :)

  • gotta love the johnny cash picture in the background. nice playing.

  • thankyou... friend

  • can someone please tell me what wet and dry means?

  • Dry is the unaffected signal, Wet means the guitar sound with the effect.

  • Ok thanks. So what would be the difference between the wet/dry knob and the level knob?

  • Well there is no level knob on this but the difference is the wet/dry does not affect the volume or output.

  • That helped a lot on my pedal search, thanks man.

  • Great review, just like a review should be! Thanks

  • Yes it is in fact a Les Paul Studio.

  • lets say i can get the LINE6 verbzilla for an extra 20 bucks....would u recommend me getting this still or the zilla ??

  • I am a huge fan of Line 6 gear but have not used the verbzilla. Both are digital pedals and the Verbzilla, like all ToneCore pedals is built like a tank compared to the Holy Grail, so if you are going to do a bunch of gigging get the Verbzilla. Other than that I don't have much advice. Thanks for the question/comment.

  • What kinda axe? Sounds a bit like a Les Paul.
