@jabberwock359 In your comment you complain about stuff that are really not relevant. It was seen in 1975 so it was buried somewhere before this user uploaded it, therefore making it not rare. As unseen probably meant unseen by a lot of people, but i am sure lot of Floyd fans haven't seen it. Stfu was a bit drastic, sorry about that, but i didn't find your comment very good, and this is elaborate explanation why (lol).

@tjrtherocksponge Well actually, Roger wasn't really too enthusiastic about touring the Animals album, he even would call out a number before the guitar solo in "Pigs"...almost like it was a chore doing each show. The only real fire I heard on that tour was the last show of the tour in Montreal when Roger spit at the fan in the audience for making so much noise.

That was a good day, I remember Captain Beefheart with Bruce Fowler on "Air Bass" (trombone instead of a regular electric bass), bloody excellent stuff.

Loads of delay between speaker towers on the quad sound system for Floyd in that field but still a red hot gig.

Not bad video, shame about the sound quality, but then it was 1975. I was 20 and wish you were here - yes I was there, i lived in hatfield, so Knebworth was easy to get to but difficult to get in. Great concert and I remember the party seven cans consumed with ease. Loved Steve Miller as well. Graham Chapman was quite amusing too.

Well the past 36 years have flown by. this is the 1st footage I have seen, I have had the bootleg for years but fantastic to see something at last. I drank a bottle of pernod that day and I sweated and peed aniseed for a week afterwards. Great day though.

Andy HN34 you are right in some respects and wrong in others! I was there and yes (like all early Knebs) was beset with tech probs-not half as bad as the Stones the following year who were awful and BLOWN away by L Skynrd-any hoo what no-one seems to have said is that yes they do play echoes-but that was because they pretty much played all of Meddle as an encore including a very spooky (thanks to the amazing quadrophonic sound!) 'Careful with that Axe Eugene'! They also played all of DSOTM :)

This is 1975, but the song is Sheep and that didn't appear until 1977 on the Animals album. I didn't know they were playing it before then.

Well, I'm confused. According to my warts-and-all Pink Floyd book, the Knebworth set

consisted of the whole of D.S.O.T.M in the first half , the whole of W.Y.W.H in the second, and Echoes as the encore. So how come they're playing Dogs, from Animals, in this clip? Is this Knebworth, or a different show?

They played Raving&Drooling, You've Gotta Be Crazy (early versions of tracks that would surface on "Animals" 2 years later), Shine On I-V,Have A Cigar, Shine On VI-IX, All of Dark Side of the Moon, Echoes was the encore. There were tons of technical problems during the show and the band was not in the best form that night. It's considered one of the worst concerts of their entire career.

@doirevomba No you were not dreaming! I was also there and they did have a rocket or plane fly over our heads and crash onto the stage. I also remember seeing Pink Floyd at the Rainbow in north London where the rocket came flying off the balcony. What a show they put on! Great memories of great times living in the UK!

Hopefully there's raw footage out there. It's the only show Roy Harper did "Have a Cigar" with them. It looks like they used 3 or 4 cameras. The crowd footage might've been shot through the day. What would also be a great find is the Captain Beefheart show. Knebworth 76 seems to be well-documented, Skynyrd used the footage, but not the Stones' best moment.

If this footage was edited back in 1975, then this is almost certainly all that's survived. Television news departments tend to throw out or tape over anything that doesn't get used in the actual broadcast. That's just the way it is.
