@ilijad video is fine... people don't know the meaning of 'rare' or 'unseen' on youtube. they're also rude and stupid on the whole... must be because they hide behind anonymity... would you tell me to 'Stfu' if you met me? ... why?
@jabberwock359 In your comment you complain about stuff that are really not relevant. It was seen in 1975 so it was buried somewhere before this user uploaded it, therefore making it not rare. As unseen probably meant unseen by a lot of people, but i am sure lot of Floyd fans haven't seen it. Stfu was a bit drastic, sorry about that, but i didn't find your comment very good, and this is elaborate explanation why (lol).
I was also there.... rode my Triumph Trident 750cc from Nottingham...... Fabulous Day .. and a great bike trip back up the A1 through the night..... Very fast two up!
@tjrtherocksponge Well actually, Roger wasn't really too enthusiastic about touring the Animals album, he even would call out a number before the guitar solo in "Pigs"...almost like it was a chore doing each show. The only real fire I heard on that tour was the last show of the tour in Montreal when Roger spit at the fan in the audience for making so much noise.
That was a good day, I remember Captain Beefheart with Bruce Fowler on "Air Bass" (trombone instead of a regular electric bass), bloody excellent stuff.
Loads of delay between speaker towers on the quad sound system for Floyd in that field but still a red hot gig.
Not bad video, shame about the sound quality, but then it was 1975. I was 20 and wish you were here - yes I was there, i lived in hatfield, so Knebworth was easy to get to but difficult to get in. Great concert and I remember the party seven cans consumed with ease. Loved Steve Miller as well. Graham Chapman was quite amusing too.
Well the past 36 years have flown by. this is the 1st footage I have seen, I have had the bootleg for years but fantastic to see something at last. I drank a bottle of pernod that day and I sweated and peed aniseed for a week afterwards. Great day though.
Andy HN34 you are right in some respects and wrong in others! I was there and yes (like all early Knebs) was beset with tech probs-not half as bad as the Stones the following year who were awful and BLOWN away by L Skynrd-any hoo what no-one seems to have said is that yes they do play echoes-but that was because they pretty much played all of Meddle as an encore including a very spooky (thanks to the amazing quadrophonic sound!) 'Careful with that Axe Eugene'! They also played all of DSOTM :)
@capricious71 Much of that album existed for years as unfinished songs with different lyrics and names, they rerecorded the lot and grouped them together and you know what happened there!
Well, I'm confused. According to my warts-and-all Pink Floyd book, the Knebworth set
consisted of the whole of D.S.O.T.M in the first half , the whole of W.Y.W.H in the second, and Echoes as the encore. So how come they're playing Dogs, from Animals, in this clip? Is this Knebworth, or a different show?
@AndyHN34 The information you have is wrong. They played Raving&Drooling, You've Gotta Be Crazy (early versions of tracks that would surface on "Animals" 2 years later), Shine On I-V,Have A Cigar, Shine On VI-IX, All of Dark Side of the Moon, Echoes was the encore. There were tons of technical problems during the show and the band was not in the best form that night. It's considered one of the worst concerts of their entire career.
@huntr7777 Hello Huntr I seem to remember that they Welcome to the machine. I do stand to be blown away: I am not the font of all knlege but I also feel that the whol of DSOM also with the Irish guy was played. Wonderful day I think. Peace

I was there but I cant remember much. I was really drunk at the time. oh, yeah, and the opium. I do remember a plane crashing into the stage at the end or was I dreaming?
@doirevomba No you were not dreaming! I was also there and they did have a rocket or plane fly over our heads and crash onto the stage. I also remember seeing Pink Floyd at the Rainbow in north London where the rocket came flying off the balcony. What a show they put on! Great memories of great times living in the UK!
Hopefully there's raw footage out there. It's the only show Roy Harper did "Have a Cigar" with them. It looks like they used 3 or 4 cameras. The crowd footage might've been shot through the day. What would also be a great find is the Captain Beefheart show. Knebworth 76 seems to be well-documented, Skynyrd used the footage, but not the Stones' best moment.

God bless you who recorded that !! oh man, David Gilmour in his Montreeal Canadians yersey shirt.. Raving & Drooling or pre-Sheep.. THANK YOU ! MORE PLEASE !!!
the whole show must have been filmed... GO TO FIND IT! lol you hear other song of the show at the begining, and at the end of the footage you can see they filmed during the evening too
Wow ..the first song you hear in this video is "Raving and Drooling" which later became "Sheep" and appeared on "Animals" album in 1977 :))))))))))))
its strange to think that 15 years later they were playing again, i can see a related video on the right 1990 knebworth. in my eyes they go from young to old, bizaare. Im 27 and remember watching 1990 knebworth. Time is strange. I dont know what me point was...
@Goldfishclown Aww thanks - guess we were all pretty 35 years ago! Yeah concert was amazing, aroplanes crashing into the stage, light show - the lot! I remember being nicely positioned about 20 metres from the stage!
(Sitting down on the ground as we did in those days!!) Captain Beefheart pretty incredible aswell !

err... 'never seen before footage'.... never seen before when exactly? In the three days between 5.07.75 and 8.07.75 when it was broadcast?
Unseen? Unseen until people first saw it, I suppose.
And for heavens sake don't change the title to 'RARE!!!' - 55,700 people have viewed it

Hi... Its hillarious when this stuff turns up and there you are.
It happened to me at a Rory Gallagher gig years ago.I was shouting out and ended up in the Melody Maker.
I looked like a complete prat.....
you obviously still enjoy your music which is great..
Rory inspired me to play for real and not mess about.
I am now 50 and still rocking in my band.
In the studio for some demos at the end of Jan.
Cant wait...
All the best .....
