  • well idk about you guys but i loved her spanish <3

  • WOW SELENA WAS SO DAMN FINE!!!!!!! Gorgeous smile, sexy lips, curvy hips, toned stomache, nice booty, great dancer, beautiful voice, sweet personality, stylish and classy...just the perfect woman. Had she lived during the era of the Aztec empire, she would have been Aztec Queen! (Thumbs up if you agree) :D

  • @Hugh2go yhu need to shut the fukk upp cuzz selena is always gunna be on our hearts no matter wt yhur just jelouse dat yhu cant be lik her!!-:/ goo shoot yhurselve nd see how it feel to get forgetting

  • I don't know what you people are talking about, her Spanish is excellent, and she's Mexican American. I'm Spanish-English and my Spanish is terrible, but I have a good enough accent.

  • tiene una voz muy sexy

  • I grew up worse than Selena. I don't know Spanish at all to this day and I am Mexican American but my parents were different. They didn't speak Spanish themselves where as Selena's parents did and felt obligated to teach her before they felt it was too late so I can some-what relate.*

  • I think her Spanish was great although, she diminished herself thinking it wasn't. amazing

  • @rosalindac6 It was really cuz her father was pushing her to learn it well or in our words today people in her culture would think she was "a poser" if you watched the movie theres actually a scene in there where she was performing the first time in spanish and her father wanted her spanish to be perfect.

  • she was good, and the rancheras ni se diga... Not even some of the girls that are out there now have that voice.... Even if their spanish is good...

  • her accent was cool but you can tell there are some words she has to stop and think about, i think that's why she said it wasn't great.

  • i know im gonna offend but her spanish wasnt the best, but hey at least she tried and was proud of her heritage. in this day we get fucking jessica "im too ashamed of who i am" alba as a role model...oh wait she was proud once she found out she would get a few more magazine covers with the spanish press. LMAO!

  • la verdad es siempre he pensado que esta mujer tenia un gran carisma en su persona, ya que no se veia que fingia en la hora de su entrevista

  • I love her.

  • 1 put ur hand over ur mouth

2 make a wish into it

    3 close ur hand[into a fist]

4 put fist over ur heart 5 sec

5 send to 3 more vids

6 2morro will b ur best day ever

  • this isn't rare.

i watched this when i was little.

    =0D

  • i dont get the title could someone explain how it relates to this video?

  • probly just bcause she's wearing black. i thought it was a lil odd too

  • Ok I SAY THIS WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT BECAUSE I AM TRULY ONE OF SELENAS BIGGEST FANS. But I know of so many women who need to wear alot of make up because without it, they look really bad. However, Selena, as you can tell in the video, 'Bidi Bidi Bom Bom', does not need one line of makeup. She is seriously one of the blessed people that walked the earth that really had NATURAL BEAUTY. I love her sooo much and I miss her tremendously. =[

  • @selenaherlegacy Yup

Most women have to pay for what she was already born with. She was gorgeous! R.I.P. Selena

  • ok I SAY THIS WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT.

  • what happened to the term "chicano" that was so popular in the 1970s?

  • my mom is a true mexicana , and selena speaks just as good as her.

  • well im puerto rican and my spanish is also not that well i learned alot of my spanish from her and listening to her all the time she was great and still is miss her alot love you selena R.i.P

  • hey same here

  • at least she tried....so wat if she dont speak it....

  • "hispanic" The term now refers to the culture and people of the Spanish-speaking countries of Hispanic America and Spain; or countries with a historical legacy from Spain, including the Southwestern United States; the African nations of Equatorial Guinea and Western Sahara; the Asia-Pacific nations Philippines, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands;it can also refer to the Hispanosphere geographical distribution, the same way Latin (Latino) refers to the Romance languages in general.

  • mexican is actualy native american mayan and aztec :P te amo SELENA

  • thank u for stating that, most people say mexicans are from spain

  • Looking at her family you can certainly see that Selena has a mestizo background( for those who don't know that a mestizo is a person who has a certain degree of European(white) and Native American ancestry)though because of Selena's phenotype there is no doubt she should be referenced to as an indigenous women!!!!

  • @LatinosarenotaRace yea thats exactly how i feel about alot of mexicans most do look very indigenous she was soo beautiful

  • ok im black maybe im confused but mexican dominican puerto rican is all latino and j lo did her thing in that movie from what i saw she looked just like her played her personality to a t no one could top her performance it could have been anybody an their would have been haters smell me

  • Mexican-American is what I like to be called. I love Selena though because she was a good leader and role-model for those of us who are Mexican but don't speak spanish well or not at all.

  • I feel the same way about being Dominican. I'm taking Level 1 Spanish right now, but I grew up around that spirit, that culture that makes me Dominican. I also absorbed the Dominican accent... tu sabe?

  • why is this vid called "Selena Black interview rare"?

  • she learned english as a first language.

  • Jennifer was the best choice, her sister said she and Selena had similar spirits. I think that's why we see Jennifer looking like Selena in the movie. They also said they could feel Selena everywhere during the shooting. Get the DVD it's a treat.

  • If you can get the 2 set DVD of Selena the 10th Anniversary. It has a lot of comments by Selena's father, brother, sister, the Director and Jennifer Lopez. The actors talk about how they felt about their roles and how they approached them. Selena's father was Executive Producer and had approval of the movie content, who played him and Selena in the movie.

  • yuk..no she wasn't. Her father wanted another actress but the director,Lopez's friend from Mi Familia persuaded Abraham. When i saw the movie i didnt like her performance. Maybe to some1 who never saw selena a lot of times in person or heard er talk think JL did good but not pre-death fans. Understandably her fam could not bad mouth the movie abt her..

  • i TOTALLY agree with you, unlike all the others that rated otherwise. JLO did not capture the real essence of Selena, because i honestly think she never really was a fan of her before she died. but when she won the role, all of a sudden, JLO was SELENA!! pisses me off that people just don't get it, except you!

  • agreed, i dont hate jlo..I respect that she played Selena and put the time and effort in trying her best to become Selena in the movie..BUT I am so use to watching the real Selena on a daily basis that she is just part of my everyday life..my room is dedicated to her. I watch/play her music and videos everyday..and nothing about jlo playing Selena was convincing to me..but i dont think anybody couldve portrayed Selena, her personality was rare, I dont think even in acting can anyone imitate it.

  • @localibran totally agree with you. I have always felt she came across in the movie too much as herself and not really like Selena. It's nice to not be alone in that feeling. I've never been a fan of Jennifer Lopez generally speaking. I think it would have been nicer for a total unknown to have been cast. I saw some of the casting calls and I think a true fan would capture her nuances much better

  • @selenafanparasiempre i sure agree with both of you! i thought i was alone, please see jennifer lopez/fake exposed to see how i touched on Selena and the topic you very well speak of, and also abt her "winning" the role, which is BS! its mentioned in the vid...even youtubers get on my nerves saying she talks like Selena etc....nada que ver! your point is very valid! jlow copycat.....and to top it off 1 of her long time dancers is Yolanda Saldivars nephew!!! sure its not the neph, fault but ughh

  • @selenafanparasiempre JLO was an unknown at the time, that's how her whole career got started. And lets be honest, there's only ONE true selena, she did her best in capturing her. They had hundreds of girls audition and her family felt she did the best job in capturing their daughter's/sister's personality. She was picked for a reason. I'm not a huge fan of Jlo either, but you gotta give her credit. If Selena's FAMILY saw something in Jlo, then she deserved the role.

  • Argentino/Italiano.. wordup

  • i dont like saying im hispanic i like saying im mexican hispanics are from spain

  • hispanincs r not from spain they are like PUERT RICAN* dominiquins MEXICANs spanish people (which a lot of people say are from spain)

  • spanish are from spain duuuh. hispanic is everybody who speaks spanish.

  • Um... Spanish and Hispanic are not necessarily interchangeable words. "Hispanic" usually refer to those in the Americas... "Spanish", in its correct usage, refers to people from Spain.

  • spanish people are from spain.

hispanics can descend from alot of places such as puerto rico,el salvador, domincan rebuplic && thats not in spain....

  • At least she said she was Mexican instead of saying she was Spanish. Now these days alot say they are "Latino" THE WORD "Latino" comes from Europe, alot of the HISPANICS here in the USA are of mixed blood, We are not Europene or Latinos, we are Mezclo con: Native Americans, Black Americans, and Anglos. And whatever else is outthere! So I prefere the word Hispanic! thank you! Muchas Gracias!

  • yea like me i am un quarter Puerto rican a quarter Salvadoreno a quarter black and a quarter mexican but i cant be listing all that i jus say yo am hispanic and black

  • thats a crazy mix!!! nice!

im black and part puerto rican, and maybe some panamanian, but i have alot of diffrent things in me.

  • lol i know

  • Ditto! Love her forever!

  • i just love it how she tries to hide her accent. she was beautiful.
