What I have never understood nor will ever understand is the obsession with the Second Amendment to the exclusion of the REST of the Constitition. It's like they think their guns, protected by 2A, are the only things protecting the U.S. from some Nazi takeover. Why so much faith in 2A and so little faith in all those fancy checks and balances imbued into the REST of the Constitution?
It's like blindly adhering to one tiny section of the equation that keeps us free while ignoring the rest.
okok but why are you taunting the police? I hate cops but theres a dumbass in a striped waving his hand up and down in front of the old cop. Just be cool and don't be dumbasses and don't go looking to start shit with these people. You can preserve your rights without being a toolbag.
@BobbyBeavis Bullshit! He has the right to stand up to the police because ANY stance that you take against the police will be perceived as being hostile, so what do you have to lose. If he's not required to show the officer his ID if he's legally carrying a gun (with a permit) then he has a right to challenge the officer. Now if he were to draw his gun on the police officer then all bets are off!
If you want to go along with a police state, then give them what they want. If you don't, stand up for your liberties. Especially amongst the law abiding citizen.
You are suppose to give the Officer Identification. How else will he check if you have any outstanding warrants? First the officer agrees not to take possession of his gun, but requires identification and refusing a reasonable request like that just makes shit worse.. Even my CCW instructor says, just give them your fucking identification. If you didn't commit any crimes, what are they going to do? Nothing!
man that guy running around exclaiming "i cant believe this" is not helping in any way. Dave you handled the situation exceptionally well. You set a great example for all open carriers.
Why the hell would you want to open carry? It's nobody's buisiness that I carry. It's less likley some one would grab my gun from behind if it's concealed. I guess some people can't get past that macho bullshit. The only people that are going to know I'm carrying are the ones stupid enough to fuck with me.
@95sport1200 The reason for open-carry isn't for the purposes of projecting some sort of power show, but as a viewable deterrent against any potential perp still trying to decide whether or not he or she is going to attack you. Similar to "speaking softly but carrying a big stick."
@95sport1200 Its easier to draw your self defense weapon without anything covering it.
If your shirt is covering your gun its going to take extra time to move your shirt then draw.
I will "switch" it up so to speak. In low risk places like right outside my home I cover it up. In parking lots or sidewalks at night anywhere I deem a good ambush spot or dangerous I'll open carry and watch my back carefully.
Main point here is his RIGHT to open carry. They can't stop him legally.
And when it all boils down to it, it's all about being the alpha male. I am a gun owner and a police officer. I don't open carry because I don't feel the need to advertise that I'm carrying a firearm. I know many men do get some sort of superior feeling carrying a weapon but really open carrying even tho it's your right you make yourself a target. I carry concealed because it doesnt create disturbance or highlight me. Plus you just look goofy open carrying a firearm if it's not in your work.
RON PAUL 2012 . com WE NEED VOTES PA FOR RON PAUL To help him be in the Primarys

Any person who doesn't realize the concern that ordinary citizens have with him walking around with a gun, is complete douche, who is just trying to prove a point. A forfeiture of any respect from the officer toward him, if you ask me. Douchey, douche-douche.
Got to give it to the cops for self-control. I'd have started beating the shit out of both of these douches by now; the tall one first, just to show the asshole on the phone what's coming. Then I'd have taken out my tazer, and given him a sporting chance to run. Fun!
@patientzero532 Douches ? for knowing their rights ? Are you a Cop by chance ?, one of the people who's salary is 100% paid with Tax Dollars. Driving is a Privilege, showing documents is required. WALKING and exercising your right to Carry is by definition not a PRIVILEGE, but a RIGHT. Learn the difference, before you comment. If you prefer a Dictatorship, move to one of those countries.
@jd426999 Fuck off, idiot. I hate that you motherfuckers pretend not to understand that you terrorize the shit out of people by walking around with a fucking gun. Am I a cop? No, I'm a 20-year service veteran. Infantry. So fuck you, fool.
@patientzero532 If you really feel what you say, we are in big trouble.
IMO, you are a troll, so language does not surprise me.. I lived in NC, and cops not only did not mind seeing me carry, they were courteous and supportive,, An armed citizenry is in fact a huge DETERRENT to terrorism & crime. If you dont trust your law abiding neighbors, you my friend are a sad example And next time, try baiting someone of less intelligence, and also pick up a History Book or 2. Good day.
@jd426999 Nice attempt to evade the original subject of this discussion... the fact the two gentlemen in the video were being complete fucking doucheheads with the cops. If they WEREN'T, then the cops wouldn't have had to take that time with them. Speaking into a phone as a cop is addressing you, making a big show of it...? If they have an issue with it, then why all the fuss, fucknut? No point in arguing with a blockhead like you.
@patientzero532 What kind of job do you have ? You seem to have a very Low IQ.... Big show ? if I felt like I was about to be arrested, I would document it also, if i had the opportunity.. Modern devices, such as smart phones, etc, permist this more and more. Its not illegal to do that.. For a cop to NOT know the laws, that is the real crime here. I'm really curious what you do for a living, and how you became so ILL informed of your rights..
@jd426999 Ohhhh.... so you're one of the fucking pinheads in this video, are you? I'd buy those cops a fucking beer, for what they did. The crux of your argument is that we need to trust our law-abiding neighbors. If you're as bright as you say you are, then you'll plainly see the obvious flaw in that argument. But being an over-compensating, needle-dick who simply WANTS to carry that toy, you'll never acknowledge it. Hope the cops make you pay for it every fucking day, douchebag.
@patientzero532 I live in NJ, You self absorbed dilusional Moron. Go check my IP address, unless you're too clueless to even do that. I wish we HAD open carry here in NJ, that was my only interest in this video... Thanks for confirming your Low IQ once again... I think someone needs french fries with their order... chop chop...
debate over...don't bother responding again... I dont debate the mentally challenged.
@jd426999 You right. Me not smart, like you. Still haven't actually "debated" anything with me, though. Last 4 posts = insults. (Gun to compensate for tiny penis; insults to compensate for tiny cranium.) Don't quite understand how I'm self-absorbed. I can tell that YOUR pre-occupation with your gun implies your inability to satisfy women, however. (Or do you prefer men. Just askin'.) Walking-talking chapter out of psych 101, you are. Funny. Tell me: What else do you like about guns..?
The open carry nuts that go every where with their gun displayed AND a video camera are only looking for a confrontation with law enforcement. The ones that choose to do this are giving open carry a bad name and are a bunch of showboating assholes.
Funny! You went out with your weapon and just happen to have a video camera too. You were looking for attention and you got it. Anything to put up another video on youtube.
@atchisrj1 ...umm. sending your very articulate "bla bla bla".. comment IS responding. Just because you gave up your pathetic argument without admitting that you were wrong, doesn't mean I can't continue to insult your stupidity, and that of your mom, who should have aborted you, or kept you locked in a closet where your pinheadedness doesn't effect society.
@mapache11 Hahaha! You are so pathetic. I told you Not to talk to me anymore. If you aim one more comment at me you will only be proving that you are gay and, want a cock in your mouth. Go ahead and ask for the cock that we all know you so desperately want. You are a joke troll.
The south had the right to secede, but not the right to own slaves. Force could rightfully be used to rescue slaves from plantations -- but not rightfully used to force the south to stay in the union.
You're assuming that the federal government is always the force for good, and local governments or individuals are forces for evil. Far more frequently, the opposite is the case.
I would rather have freedom of association, and localism -- if there is going to be evil, at least I and others will be free to remove my support for the evil, and work against it. The worst evils are implemented by inescapable central governments -- Pol Pot, USSR, Mao, North Korea, Hitler, etc.
I never defended slavery, 13, I don't know where this is coming from. I absolutely agree with you that slavery is evil, and was always evil, and needed to end. In fact, I especially like that you point out that it was always evil. Some people tend towards moral relativism, excusing clear evil simply because it occurred while it was generally accepted. I'm glad you don't.
In modern times, we're obviously far more free to move.
Avoiding tyranny implemented on a national, or even global scale is hard to practically avoid -- moving to the next state over is not nearly as difficult. This way, diverse people can live in the sort of society that fits them, rather than having one size fits all solutions imposed on everyone.
Furthermore, reforming local laws and electing local leaders is far, far more feasible for average people, than reforming the federal government.
Imagine that slavery were enforced on a global scale. Escape would be impossible. Now imagine it were enforced by law on a national scale (as it was in the early US). Escape was possible, to Canada, but was very difficult. Now imagine it were only one state -- or one county, or town, which enforced slavery. It would have been far, far more escapable -- a mere 10 miles or so, to freedom, rather than thousands. This is what I meant.
Liberty is the most important principle -- not localism. Both national and local governments have at many times been anti-liberty.
I would have absolutely advocated militias raiding and rescuing slaves from plantations. I'm not a fan of lincoln, who defended both slavery and white supremacy, and said that "preserving the union" was the most important thing.
Most countries were able to eliminate slavery without a massive war.
The federal government defended slavery for almost 100 years. It was against federal law to help escaped slaves. Northern states, meanwhile, used state nullification and refused to enforce those evil laws.
Larger governments do not have a monopoly on goodness, as any cursory examination of history will show. In fact, it's usually quite the opposite -- central governments have committed most of the worst abuses in history.
Local governments are far more accountable, and escapable.
You guys should see the real Mitt Romney on my channel the guy is owned by the banks. Mitt Romney is owned by banks. Everyone needs to new in New Hampshire dont let him win. Mitt Romney loves the banksters
Maybe its the fact that no legal training or education is required for these "new hampshire folk" to carry a gun is the problem. because everyone else in every state that allows open or concealed carry know that cooperation with authorities is crucial to preserving gun rights.
@fangednekoyasha I don't care about New Hampshire's laws (which i'm aware of) or lack of laws i should say..... I was referring to open carry in my state. but i hope all new hampshire residents are ready when they take away the privilege of open carry without a permit...
@daddysebastian If you were referring to open carry in y9our state, then why were you talking about the person in the video?
"And what if the guy in the video did not have permit to carry? would you not want the "law enforcement" to "enforce the law"?" is what you said. Quit trying to shift your argument in an attempt to not look stupid, it doesn't work on anyone with a brain.
@daddysebastian You haven't read the NH state constitution's Article 2-a. Open carry isn't "privilege", it is a right. And since you aren't living in NH, mind your own business, and worry about your own state. No need to add your 2 cents here about how you think the law applies in NH, when you're clearly ignorant of it.
let's see if you can grasp this: there's a law that says that you can't do 800 MPH in your flying car and you can't go about 300 feet because people were being irresponsible.
now, since there are no flying cars, why would there be a law PRIOR to the action?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Dave is an asshole. Why? Because HE is going to allow our fucking representatives to make it illegal to carry openly in NH. Why? Officer safety. Dave, you're a moron. All you had to do was cooperate. You're lucky they didn't put a bullet in your fucking head.
when someone gives the police a hard time, he'll report it to his superiors. ready for the difficult part, stupid... his superiors will report it to the mayor. here's the part that you might not be able to grasp...
when the mayor talks to the governor and the governor talks to the state representatives about officer safety, regarding open carry and people being disobedient, guess what will happen? NH's open carry law will go the way of MA. simple, huh
let's see if you can understand the concept in a simplistic manner, and since I believe that you just graduated elementary school, i'll start there. teacher says, "class can chew gum, if gum is found under desk, no more gum." everyone is happy. now, your dumb ass is chewing gum and puts gum under desk. teacher says, "okay, no more gum for anyone." this pisses everyone off. the moral: one moron will screw shit up for everyone. do you get it now, stupid?
@rjascott Retarded analogy. A more apt one would be if the teacher said "The class is allowed to chew gum, just throw it in the trash." You throw it in the trash, and the teacher's assistant harasses you for it because she wasn't aware that the teacher allowed it. After you correct the assistant, she complains to the teacher, who instead of informing her of the class rules, changes them so that the assistant doesn't have to be confused anymore. Do you get it now, stupid?
do you NOT understand that IF this dipshit, and other dipshits like him do NOT comply, your open carry laws WILL go away? you ever hear of the analogy of "one bad apple?" good grief! it isn't the teacher, it isn't the teachers assistant, it's the moron who makes it difficult for those who are in charge to do their job.
IF people continue to refuse to comply to SIMPLE requests... retard... THEN there will be strict gun control laws. ugghhh...
@rjascott The only moron I see here is you. You are not required to comply to a request, that's why it's a REQUEST. If you think that knowing your rights and exercising them is being a "bad apple", then you are pants-on-head retarded.
the issue, fucking retard, is the GUN. do you know what public safety is? do you know that psychotic people don't give a damn whether they comply with the law right before they start blowing people away? the problem, stupid, is the lack of compliance WHILE carrying a gun. good lord, you're a moron.
@rjascott He was under no legal obligation to comply with a REQUEST while EXERCISING HIS RIGHTS. I'm done responding to you, you have to be a troll. Noone can be this incredibly stupid and still operate a computer (even a Mac).
I'd feel safer if cops weren't running around harassing innocent people for exercising their rights.
I'd also feel safer if more peaceful, responsible people carried guns -- because a psycho who wants to murder people won't be stopped by gun laws, and will pick defenseless targets -- which is why it's schools and post offices that get attacked, and not gun shows.
you make things a little easier for the police, as something as simple as handing over an i.d. no harm, no foul, as that prevents your government from coming down on those who are law abiding. you made their job a little easier. if this douche bag would have had a lengthy criminal record, would you want him parading around town with a gun? no, you wouldn't.
@rjascott Apparently you don't believe that a person can pay their debt to society and then exercise their rights. The real douche bags are those like you that want to take away the rights of others out of your own fear and ignorance.
that is the most absurd assumption that I have ever read. how does your little brain come to such inane conclusions? the real douche bags are people like you, who do dumb shit and wonder "why are our rights being taken away from us!" THEN continue to complain because YOUR dumb ass did something stupid, that was once legal, that causes everyone else to suffer. ready, stupid... SEE SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 as the epitome of proof. because of assholes, we can't take nail clippers on a plane.
@rjascott And, after writing that you have the nerve to say I have a little brain? That would be funny if not for it being so sad. You are pathetic, "oh we can't have nail clippers on air planes any more because of Sep. 11." It's not because of 9-11 it's because people like you don't have a spine and stand up for your natural rights. Rights are like muscles, if you don't use them you lose them. Now be a good little sheep and sit down.
i know you won't be able to grasp, either. laws are enacted because of dumb fucking actions.taking clippers on an airplane has ZERO to do with rights. since when have you EVER had the "right" to bring nail clippers onto a plane? you HAD the privilege UNTIL a bunch of MUSLIMS screwed everything up for every person who lives in the U.S. that have been responsible. so, now, because of DUMB FUCKS, we suffer.
@rjascott Dipshit? I feel so sorry for you. Let me say this in the simplest way I can so you can comprehend it. We as human beings have a natural right to both property (the clippers) and to travel (fly). Do you get it now? If not I will dumb this down more if possible.
you have the right? since when? you have the privilege, just like you have the privilege to drive a car. you do not, nor will you EVER have the right. IF you think you have the "right" to drive, then why can your RIGHT be stripped away for non-compliance to laws? mind you, moron, your right to walk cannot, nor will EVER be taken away. fucking moron! you do have the right to own clippers, but you do not have the right to take them on board a plane. you have the privilege. dope!
@rjascott You can't be this fucking stupid can you? Either you are stupid or are just a troll. Whatever the case, I have no time for your arrogant ignorance. Kindly go fuck yourself.
go kill yourself. seriously. people who want the rights abide by certain standards. we have no time for people who want to live on the edge of what society deems appropriate. it's people like you, and the cock fuck in the video who fuck things up for the majority. you're no different than the assholes in "occupy."
@rjascott Go kill myself? Great way to show your own ignorance. Here, I'll give you a nickles worth of advise for free. Don't make ignorant claims on the internet and then get all high and mighty when other users (that are obviously smarter then you) call you out on your bull shit. Now, like I said before, kindly go fuck yourself.
@rjascott You must really want to get thrown off You Tube. Saying someone "please, now you can go kill yourself." Is evidence that you are a small minded little man. Now be a good little sheep and sit down.
@atchisrj1 ..and so ends your schooling in debate by someone who understands argument...namely rjascott. He is completely correct in everything he says. Going from place to place under your own power is a right. If you are using a bicycle you must still obey traffic laws but I have never seen a cop write a ticket to a cyclist for an improper lane change. I don't agree with stupidity like the no nail clippers on a plane, but if not for 911 you'd still have the priviledge of taking them.
@mapache11 Whey to be an ignorant fool boy. You know nothing and that saddens me. You have zero concept of what rights are nor of were they come from. If you don't want to add any constructiveness to this argument then be on your way before I have to give you the same spanking I gave that fool rjascott.
@atchisrj1 ...what sadddens me is that your dad didn't pick the brainy sister to rape. Maybe then you would have inherited some smarts.
Neither rjascott or I are against open carry. The point is that if enough assholes think that they are giving up some rights simply by telling a cop their names, then the whole open carry law will be repealed. Fuckstick.
@mapache11 LMFAO! You are a pathetic little turd just like the last turd aren't you? The point is you, DO NOT HAVE TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF TO A COP IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. It is not a "Stop and identify State". If you or the other reject can not comprehend such a simple idea then, you should just give up now.
For your information I have an IQ of 121 so insulting my intellect is a sure sign that you are lacking in said department.
@atchisrj1 ...121 ...whether or not you have to identify yourself is not the point. The point is that by not identifying yourself, you risk losing the priviledge of open carry. If you don't have anything to hide, the cop runs your name. In 10 seconds you're on your WAY. That should be pretty simple for someone with a 121 IQ to understand...but then again you told me to be "on your why". You must have been diddling your kid sister with your left hand and missed the "a" in "way".
@mapache11 Wow, what a nit picking child you are. You have no true leg to stand on so you attack someone for spelling? You are pathetic. "If you don't have anything to hide" what a worn out and useless argument. We risk losing these rights because of pathetic little sheep like you. Cry me a river why don't you?
"You must have been diddling your kid sister with your left hand and missed the "a" in "way"." Looks like projection to me. Sad, truly sad you really are.
@atchisrj1 ...not nit picking. Everyone can make typos, but how does someone of your incredible intellect confuse "why" and "way"?? You obviously chose the word, you didn't accidentally use the index finger of your right hand instead of the pinky finger of your right did you? Okay maybe you did. You seem spastic enough.
@atchisrj1 ...All name calling aside, where in my posts am I trolling? Trolls get their kicks inciting others with inflamatory posts. I am simply stating, or restating, the logical response of the police to people who want to openly carry a gun, but don't want to identify themselves. It's a simple matter of public safety.
@mapache11 This coming from the user that keeps stating that I am an example of incest? How about you stop thumping your chest like some witch hunter. You like so many before you show a stain on the history of humanity.
With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.
If you and your ilk wish to live in chains, then so be it. I choose the opposite.
@atchisrj1 ....yadda yadda yadda . Good use of the ole copy/paste feature. It is true that you don't have to identify yourself if you are not being arrested. But you are NOT helping your cause by refusing. You look, at best, like someone with something to hide, and at worst, a twat with nothing to hide, who wants to be hassled by the cops. You are not maintaining any freedoms by acting like a dick. The likely result will be the revoking of open carry. ...wait, maybe that's what you want.
@atchisrj1 ...I forgot to mention this before. Here is your comment:
"If you and your ilk wish to live in chains, then so be it. I choose the opposite." Since there is no opposite for a noun (chains) the opposite of living in chains would be DYING in chains, Good choice. And in your original comment to me you spelled "way", WHEY, as in "Curds and whey". Since you have a 121 IQ I guess you were making a very oblique metaphor..or something...right?
@atchisrj1 ...If you live anywhere in New Hampshire and chose open carry, and are polite to the cops, soon enough they will not even bother to ask your name. If you act like an ass, they'll say "Hey there's that ass who doesn't want us to know who he is. Let's go hassle him." And then eventually some twat will have a warrant, commit a crime with his illegal gun openly carried, and the open carry law will vanish.
@mapache11 So, what you are saying is it is okay to "hassle" someone because they have badges? Wow! And, I thought the last guy was retarded. Congratulations on being a brain dead sheep. I hope that works out for you.
@atchisrj1 ..I'm saying that they will hassle you if you act like a tool, tool. And they'll keep doing it until you decide to not be a tool and give them your name. I didn't say it was okay, just that that will be the likely consequence. Then if enough tools refuse to give the cops a name, eventually the cops will complain to their superiors and on up until the open carry priviledge is revoked. Simple.
@rjascott The only people who use "privilege" in place of "right" are those that don't mind being controlled. Obedient good little boys. Guess what, "humans" own themselves regardless of what anyone says and can do anything they want as long as they don't hurt other people. You're apparently not human and like being treated like a kindergarten... good luck with that.
you apparently haven't left your little 2X2 box, ever. you have the RIGHT to own a gun, until that RIGHT is taken away IF you do something stupid. you have the PRIVILEGE to drive a car.
what's the difference, Timothy? i doubt you'll be able to answer it, so here: to drive a car, you need a license, granted by the state of NH. in NH, you do NOT need a license to own a gun. though, both can be stripped away from you.
@rjascott Perhaps, but doesn't mean I'll stop driving. It's not a privilege to be mobile. I'm not talking about what the government tells you, sure they say it's a privilege, I'm talking about the way I view human rights and that's what I stick too. If a cop pulls me over I pull out my constitution and Bill of Rights and read off my rights to him/her if I feel they are out of line. This usually works pretty well, or it has for me. If you're submissive then you'll be taken advantage of.
that is similar to saying, "well, some dude owns a bar. they can allow cocaine in there as long as they want."
the point is NOT the nail clippers. it's the asshole's who screwed the people in the U.S. by hijacking the planes. you used to be able to carry pocket knives on planes... until Muslims decided to fuck shit up.
@atchisrj1 you give cautious and responsible gun owners a bad name. youre just as bad as a criminal. you make law enforment officers jobs dangerous and difficult. screw off
@mrskillz8910 Aw poor baby likes to be treated like a child by dip shit bully cops. You give patriotic Americans a bad name. Now kindly shut up and sit down like the sheep the rest of us know you to be.
@84gregorydc ....so instead of simply telling the cop your name, you'd rather "stand up for yourself" and then have the right to open carry get taken away. How myopic of you,.
The guy whos carrying isnt being a douche at all, just exercising his right thats all. Hes right, if we dont exercise our rights, they might as well not be there. For example if people dont exercise the right to gather, then after some time its going to be weird and "scary" to see people gather like that and we may as not have the right. The OTHER guy waving his hand in front of the cop was a douche...and gangbangers wouldn't open carry, they'd keep it in their pants or under a jacket.
Why wouldn't you cooperate with the police if you are such a good citizen. I hope a bunch of filthy gangbangers start walking around your neighborhood carrying openly. How will the police know, without asking for I.D. Grow up, sorry daddy didn't give you enough attention when you were a kid.
@Ben85paintball I was refering the registration to the concealed, I got my words jumbled a little. I open carry all the time and have had no problems in certain areas. but as I said before in some towns peopl just dont have a clue and they think your some crazy person "Brandishing" a firearm. If people onyl really knew the meaning of that word.
@Ben85paintball Thats good. Some of these videos are probably a few years old. It just seemed like most the open carry videos were from NH. Like there is a ton of videos from seattle of King county law inforcement beating people up or killing people.
What is the deal with NH. Is there just a big open carry movement there or are the police more apt to harrass you for it. Lots of videos about NH open carry.
@mixmastermeeks This is not to thrash you merely to educate you. Iv been a resident of the state of NH all my life. Open carry is legal as long as the firearm is registered. The police have no right or mandate that states that they are to stop an individual who has done nothing wrong or is "suspect" to a crime who is open carrying. It is 100% legal to open carry a firearm in a public place.
"Life Free or Die" is our state moto and I highly suggest the rest of the US live as we do.
@MessIahmake Um, you should try some reading comprehension courses before trying to educate anyone. Did I ask if it was legal? Nope. Did I ask if cops have a right to stop someone just for open carry? Nope. And just to educate you, there are many places in America where you don't get harrassed for your firearms. So again my question is: Why is this such a big deal in NH?
@mixmastermeeks My apologies for my shrewdness before, I viewed a few too many youtube vids concerning open carry harasment. There are numerous people in NH who do not know thier rights and on top of them a large percent think that people with guns are criminals. I open carry anytime I am not working, as I work in MA, and I have had no problems in my town as people know me. But certain places such as Manchester, Nashua and Concord, higher populated areas, people see a gun and fear the worst.
@MessIahmake So why is this so big in NH? I have seen a lot more videos about it in NH than anywhere. You would think the police would have received some kind of education on it because it seems they spend a lot of time harrassing people. It does make me happy to see people excersising their rights (especially their 2nd amendment rights!) though. Take care
Good calm actions on he part of the gun owner but your friend needs to chill out & let the video do the work. Its what counts the most. more so when you make a report to the police station.
A few more good "Activists" like these and were well on our way to legislation that will make it mandatory to show ID and have a license to open carry in every state or make it illegal all together. There are good ways to stand up for your rights, like Inform the officer of what you know to be your rights and ask if you are free to go. If not, then cooperate, show your ID and be on your way, and file a report later. Then there is this crap. Thanks Activists.
@OldGloryForever :BRAVO....correct to be civil and follow up. The video of the case is clear enough. You can see that the officers were only making YOU & ME safer. The intent was clear. And when He said he was going to a Bar with the gun!? Gee, alcohol & guns don't mix. It is a tool, not a TOY.
There is no reason to question anyone that exercises the right to open carry.Criminals will always hide the weapon because they do not want to be noticed. Also criminals will not see a person with a gun and think of them as needing to be dealt with first, they will just move along to avoid confrontation with someone that will draw and shoot back. Criminals are cowards, they will not commit a crime if they feel they could get hurt.

BobbyBeavis 2 weeks ago

Nothing!

Why the hell would you want to open carry? It's nobody's buisiness that I carry. It's less likley some one would grab my gun from behind if it's concealed. I guess some people can't get past that macho bullshit. The only people that are going to know I'm carrying are the ones stupid enough to fuck with me.
95sport1200 4 weeks ago
@95sport1200 The reason for open-carry isn't for the purposes of projecting some sort of power show, but as a viewable deterrent against any potential perp still trying to decide whether or not he or she is going to attack you. Similar to "speaking softly but carrying a big stick."
DreamZHack 3 weeks ago
@95sport1200 Its easier to draw your self defense weapon without anything covering it.
If your shirt is covering your gun its going to take extra time to move your shirt then draw.
I will "switch" it up so to speak. In low risk places like right outside my home I cover it up. In parking lots or sidewalks at night anywhere I deem a good ambush spot or dangerous I'll open carry and watch my back carefully.
Main point here is his RIGHT to open carry. They can't stop him legally.

@elmayimbejrs What? Why should that person have to show his ID to any cop who just asks?
Thats called harassment and oppression and its illegal in out great, free nation.
The cop has to suspect you of committing some crime before he can LEGALLY ask for your ID.
Hell, other wise every black guy would get ID checked 20 times a day. You can't do that to a citizen in the US.

The south had the right to secede, but not the right to own slaves. Force could rightfully be used to rescue slaves from plantations -- but not rightfully used to force the south to stay in the union.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@13Xanadu
You're assuming that the federal government is always the force for good, and local governments or individuals are forces for evil. Far more frequently, the opposite is the case.
I would rather have freedom of association, and localism -- if there is going to be evil, at least I and others will be free to remove my support for the evil, and work against it. The worst evils are implemented by inescapable central governments -- Pol Pot, USSR, Mao, North Korea, Hitler, etc.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@13Xanadu
I'm glad you don't.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
In modern times, we're obviously far more free to move.
Avoiding tyranny implemented on a national, or even global scale is hard to practically avoid -- moving to the next state over is not nearly as difficult. This way, diverse people can live in the sort of society that fits them, rather than having one size fits all solutions imposed on everyone.
Furthermore, reforming local laws and electing local leaders is far, far more feasible for average people, than reforming the federal government.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@13Xanadu
This is what I meant.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@13Xanadu
Most countries were able to eliminate slavery without a massive war.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@13Xanadu
Local governments are far more accountable, and escapable.

atchisrj1 2 months ago 2
@atchisrj1 ...121 ...whether or not you have to identify yourself is not the point. The point is that by not identifying yourself, you risk losing the priviledge of open carry. If you don't have anything to hide, the cop runs your name. In 10 seconds you're on your WAY. That should be pretty simple for someone with a 121 IQ to understand...but then again you told me to be "on your why". You must have been diddling your kid sister with your left hand and missed the "a" in "way".
mapache11 2 months ago
@mapache11 Wow, what a nit picking child you are. You have no true leg to stand on so you attack someone for spelling? You are pathetic. "If you don't have anything to hide" what a worn out and useless argument. We risk losing these rights because of pathetic little sheep like you. Cry me a river why don't you?
"You must have been diddling your kid sister with your left hand and missed the "a" in "way"." Looks like projection to me. Sad, truly sad you really are.
atchisrj1 2 months ago
@atchisrj1 ...not nit picking. Everyone can make typos, but how does someone of your incredible intellect confuse "why" and "way"?? You obviously chose the word, you didn't accidentally use the index finger of your right hand instead of the pinky finger of your right did you? Okay maybe you did. You seem spastic enough.

@mapache11 ...See if you can spot the mistake in the comment below.

@mapache11 And, you seem like a troll. Good day to you child. Get an fucking life.
atchisrj1 2 months ago 2
@atchisrj1 ...All name calling aside, where in my posts am I trolling? Trolls get their kicks inciting others with inflamatory posts. I am simply stating, or restating, the logical response of the police to people who want to openly carry a gun, but don't want to identify themselves. It's a simple matter of public safety.
mapache11 2 months ago
@mapache11 This coming from the user that keeps stating that I am an example of incest? How about you stop thumping your chest like some witch hunter. You like so many before you show a stain on the history of humanity.
With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.
If you and your ilk wish to live in chains, then so be it. I choose the opposite.
atchisrj1 2 months ago 2
@atchisrj1 ....yadda yadda yadda . Good use of the ole copy/paste feature. It is true that you don't have to identify yourself if you are not being arrested. But you are NOT helping your cause by refusing. You look, at best, like someone with something to hide, and at worst, a twat with nothing to hide, who wants to be hassled by the cops. You are not maintaining any freedoms by acting like a dick. The likely result will be the revoking of open carry. ...wait, maybe that's what you want.
mapache11 2 months ago
@mapache11 <~~~~~~~ TROLL!
atchisrj1 2 months ago
@atchisrj1 ..trolls tend not to present logical arguments. Like I asked bfore, apart from insulting you, where was I trolling?
Simply repeating "You are a troll" doesn't make it so.
mapache11 2 months ago
@mapache11 Bla, bla, bla.
atchisrj1 2 months ago 2
@atchisrj1 ..that's the most intelligent thing you've posted.
mapache11 2 months ago
@atchisrj1 ...I forgot to mention this before. Here is your comment:
"If you and your ilk wish to live in chains, then so be it. I choose the opposite." Since there is no opposite for a noun (chains) the opposite of living in chains would be DYING in chains, Good choice. And in your original comment to me you spelled "way", WHEY, as in "Curds and whey". Since you have a 121 IQ I guess you were making a very oblique metaphor..or something...right?
mapache11 2 months ago
@atchisrj1 ...If you live anywhere in New Hampshire and chose open carry, and are polite to the cops, soon enough they will not even bother to ask your name. If you act like an ass, they'll say "Hey there's that ass who doesn't want us to know who he is. Let's go hassle him." And then eventually some twat will have a warrant, commit a crime with his illegal gun openly carried, and the open carry law will vanish.
mapache11 2 months ago
@mapache11 So, what you are saying is it is okay to "hassle" someone because they have badges? Wow! And, I thought the last guy was retarded. Congratulations on being a brain dead sheep. I hope that works out for you.
atchisrj1 2 months ago 2
@atchisrj1 ..I'm saying that they will hassle you if you act like a tool, tool. And they'll keep doing it until you decide to not be a tool and give them your name. I didn't say it was okay, just that that will be the likely consequence. Then if enough tools refuse to give the cops a name, eventually the cops will complain to their superiors and on up until the open carry priviledge is revoked. Simple.
mapache11 2 months ago
@rjascott The only people who use "privilege" in place of "right" are those that don't mind being controlled. Obedient good little boys. Guess what, "humans" own themselves regardless of what anyone says and can do anything they want as long as they don't hurt other people. You're apparently not human and like being treated like a kindergarten... good luck with that.
TheoryByDesign 3 months ago
@TheoryByDesign
you apparently haven't left your little 2X2 box, ever. you have the RIGHT to own a gun, until that RIGHT is taken away IF you do something stupid. you have the PRIVILEGE to drive a car.
what's the difference, Timothy? i doubt you'll be able to answer it, so here: to drive a car, you need a license, granted by the state of NH. in NH, you do NOT need a license to own a gun. though, both can be stripped away from you.
rjascott 3 months ago
@rjascott Perhaps, but doesn't mean I'll stop driving. It's not a privilege to be mobile. I'm not talking about what the government tells you, sure they say it's a privilege, I'm talking about the way I view human rights and that's what I stick too. If a cop pulls me over I pull out my constitution and Bill of Rights and read off my rights to him/her if I feel they are out of line. This usually works pretty well, or it has for me. If you're submissive then you'll be taken advantage of.
TheoryByDesign 3 months ago
@rjascott
The airline owns the plane. If they want to allow nail clippers on their plane, it's their right, and it's nobody else's business.
Of course, as usual, the federal government continually jams its fat nose in where it doesn't belong.
ninjabunnyman 2 months ago
@ninjabunnyman
that is similar to saying, "well, some dude owns a bar. they can allow cocaine in there as long as they want."
the point is NOT the nail clippers. it's the asshole's who screwed the people in the U.S. by hijacking the planes. you used to be able to carry pocket knives on planes... until Muslims decided to fuck shit up.
rjascott 2 months ago
@atchisrj1 you give cautious and responsible gun owners a bad name. youre just as bad as a criminal. you make law enforment officers jobs dangerous and difficult. screw off
mrskillz8910 2 months ago
@mrskillz8910 Aw poor baby likes to be treated like a child by dip shit bully cops. You give patriotic Americans a bad name. Now kindly shut up and sit down like the sheep the rest of us know you to be.
atchisrj1 2 months ago
@84gregorydc ....so instead of simply telling the cop your name, you'd rather "stand up for yourself" and then have the right to open carry get taken away. How myopic of you,.
mapache11 2 months ago
The guy whos carrying isnt being a douche at all, just exercising his right thats all. Hes right, if we dont exercise our rights, they might as well not be there. For example if people dont exercise the right to gather, then after some time its going to be weird and "scary" to see people gather like that and we may as not have the right. The OTHER guy waving his hand in front of the cop was a douche...and gangbangers wouldn't open carry, they'd keep it in their pants or under a jacket.
Razazarak 3 months ago

@Ben85paintball So would a blowjob....
BennyIceEyes 3 months ago
@Ben85paintball Thats good. Some of these videos are probably a few years old. It just seemed like most the open carry videos were from NH. Like there is a ton of videos from seattle of King county law inforcement beating people up or killing people.

cops confuse law with" police procedure" they are not the same, they think because something is procedure that it is the law

"Live Free or Die"
MessIahmake 4 months ago
What is the deal with NH. Is there just a big open carry movement there or are the police more apt to harrass you for it. Lots of videos about NH open carry.
mixmastermeeks 4 months ago
@mixmastermeeks This is not to thrash you merely to educate you. Iv been a resident of the state of NH all my life. Open carry is legal as long as the firearm is registered. The police have no right or mandate that states that they are to stop an individual who has done nothing wrong or is "suspect" to a crime who is open carrying. It is 100% legal to open carry a firearm in a public place.
"Life Free or Die" is our state moto and I highly suggest the rest of the US live as we do.
MessIahmake 4 months ago
@MessIahmake Um, you should try some reading comprehension courses before trying to educate anyone. Did I ask if it was legal? Nope. Did I ask if cops have a right to stop someone just for open carry? Nope. And just to educate you, there are many places in America where you don't get harrassed for your firearms. So again my question is: Why is this such a big deal in NH?
mixmastermeeks 4 months ago
@mixmastermeeks My apologies for my shrewdness before, I viewed a few too many youtube vids concerning open carry harasment. There are numerous people in NH who do not know thier rights and on top of them a large percent think that people with guns are criminals. I open carry anytime I am not working, as I work in MA, and I have had no problems in my town as people know me. But certain places such as Manchester, Nashua and Concord, higher populated areas, people see a gun and fear the worst.
MessIahmake 4 months ago
@MessIahmake So why is this so big in NH? I have seen a lot more videos about it in NH than anywhere. You would think the police would have received some kind of education on it because it seems they spend a lot of time harrassing people. It does make me happy to see people excersising their rights (especially their 2nd amendment rights!) though. Take care

You will get no debate from me that all legal open carriers should be respected... My question is, do you think they will?

Good calm actions on he part of the gun owner but your friend needs to chill out & let the video do the work. Its what counts the most. more so when you make a report to the police station.

DRUMMERAL100 4 months ago
A few more good "Activists" like these and were well on our way to legislation that will make it mandatory to show ID and have a license to open carry in every state or make it illegal all together. There are good ways to stand up for your rights, like Inform the officer of what you know to be your rights and ask if you are free to go. If not, then cooperate, show your ID and be on your way, and file a report later. Then there is this crap. Thanks Activists.
OldGloryForever 4 months ago
@OldGloryForever :BRAVO....correct to be civil and follow up. The video of the case is clear enough. You can see that the officers were only making YOU & ME safer. The intent was clear. And when He said he was going to a Bar with the gun!? Gee, alcohol & guns don't mix. It is a tool, not a TOY.

@theprimemeridians You shouldn't assume. I don't drink alcohol, and I go to bars quite often. Some of them serve some pretty good food.

yoroot20 4 months ago
There is no reason to question anyone that exercises the right to open carry.Criminals will always hide the weapon because they do not want to be noticed. Also criminals will not see a person with a gun and think of them as needing to be dealt with first, they will just move along to avoid confrontation with someone that will draw and shoot back. Criminals are cowards, they will not commit a crime if they feel they could get hurt.
