  • why any of these are banned today tv is much worse

  • wow the last one was a sirious WTF??

  • the last one,too much swazis O.O and why is their and aishan nazi?

  • @1997dragonclaw Cause durning WW2 Hitler and the japanese worked together :)

  • @jesan60 XD

  • I own a lot of these on VHS...good times growing up watching them.

  • none of them are band

  • if this is banned, i bet they haven seen southpark =))

  • Big deal... i see all of this and more on family guy

  • I always knew Disney was evil :D

  • After watching this, one thing is for sure:

I wish that they would make cartoons like this - only ridiculing the presidents of Syria, Iran, and Pakistan (respectively)!

Plus, I would rather watch these cartoons (featured in the video) than most of the garbage that is out today.

  • They made fun of Japs and Nazis at the time the way South Park makes fun of Bin Ladin Today

  • They should have put spinach on the Lusitania :/

  • well for #1, Walt Disney was outspoken as antisemitic

  • #5 why is there nazis

#4 i think they were making fun of canadiens like me, and telling that rabbit should die

    #3 toltally racist

#2 are they making fun of dutch people

    #1 not cool

  • The first half of the twentieth century was different than now. Peoples ethnicity or race was fair game for humor. None of these were banned during that time, I would presume. The wartime cartoons making fun of the Germans and Japanese was war propaganda during WWII, I would guess that the humor no longer worked after the war and for that reason it would not be shown. Most of the entertainment of that period would now be offensive by today's politically correct standards.

  • hmmm makeing fun of mussulini hirohito and georing lol

  • holy shizzlecuntnuts! ( der feuhrer's face) that's intense

  • I didnt know America was racist to Canadians back then O_O

  • @Keenan035 It's because of the ending.

  • @Keenan035 are the majority of Canadians not caucasians? Then how can 'racism' come into it?

  • @MuseDuCafe its not by skin, its what they might of done.... :P

  • @Keenan035 Then that is not racist - by definition. You can't just make up meanings for existing words or there is no possible communication whatsoever. Green is not Red, Fish is not Beef, etc. Good God.

  • 2:12 i saw this in germany for christmas special :DD ON TV ON A CHANNEL FOR KIDS!

  • Fresh hare? i see that episode on cartoon network a few months ago o.o (i'm form Chile))

  • 8:43 The face fat kids at my school make when they get an A+ and we all get F's.

  • What is it with Cartoons and Hitler???

  • @mousy554 Adolf Hitler was & still is an incredably popular man. That's like asking "Why is South Park banned in Russia".

  • YOU SYMBOLIZE HOPE

  • omfg the second one is screwed up.

in fact, so is the third.

the last one is most defintley screwed up, but actually quite funny

  • The last one I think it has something to do with one Nazy being Asian and the other doing very...flamboyant movements.

  • Umm.Bugs is not violent againts the japs.He got attacked first.Bugs always fucks with the people that attack him first.Be it japanese.White.Black Elmer Fudd or Daffy Duck.

  • We must ban all cartoons on the planet. Walt Disney was a Scottish freemason. Scottish freemasons practice child cannibalism. Walt Disney ate all the performers who appeared on the Disney Channels. To keep Zack and Cody from being eaten by Walt we must all act very fast. Where will we buy ugly preppy clothes being narketed by Zack and Cody. Remember, all children who visit DisneyWorld or other theme parks are being eaten by Walt even as I type.. Help, Walt is at my window he is just about

  • donald duck being a nazi is probly the reason for #1...

that would be almost the equivilant of making Spongebob a terrorist...

  • LOL, last time i saw the episode: Fresh Hare was 2 years ago, i saw it like 8 times on the dutch tv. It is still on.

  • Back in those days these cartoons were seen at Theaters before the movies. The World was at War and the people needed this to keep what was going on,...on a lighter note. It is a shame that they have been banned as they are a part of history. Being politically correct has gone way too far. Censorship in these instances is just wrong. The greatest generation ever made the ultimate sacrafice for our freedom and it is a disgrace to their legacy.

  • Last one, DONALD DUCKS A NAZI?????

  • I guess people are being too sensitive on this issue.

  • @Yoyopro3 Because we were fighting a win or lose war back then and being PC on the subject of nazis wasn't an option, plus animators had pretty strong feelings about the nazis and Hitler and plus they were perfect subjects for ridiculing in a cartoon, Hitler came across as a walking cartoon with his goose step and all. A bigger gripe that is understandable these days would be the portrayal of the Japanese back then.

  • omg donald duck is a nazi!!!!!!!

  • i wish i lived back then, where there wasnt tight ass parents worrying about small shit like a cartoon

  • existed at that time Adult Swin on Cartoon Network?

  • what would a sweed be doing in the black forest

  • Ha, ha ~ timeless.

  • hahah fucked up awsomeness

  • from this video & the last we can clearly see what sde the makers of the cartoons were on...

  • 9:07-9:36 is WTF!! funny OMFG!!! LMFAO

  • Wow PC is bullcrap! And you people are brainless.First, your looking at "clips & pieces" not the whole picture.Second, why don't you try looking at the dates the cartoons were drawn up & check out what was going on in our world at that time!

No wonder we are a mess, look how quick people jump & run with just the pieces! Hahaha

Chill out people, relax.Lite up some bud or something.Life wasn't meant to be takin so seriously. If it was, there wouldn't be so many funny looking people in this world!! HAHA

  • wadda u know the only 1 of 2 donald duck episodes is banned O.o

  • Did you notice the irony in "Der Fuehrer's Face" when they talk about being "supermen" - it's the Japanese guy who says "Aryan pure supermen." And pure Aryans were supposed to be white, blond and blue-eyed :)

I don't think that video should be banned - it's a valuable historical document, in a way.

  • on number 1 how the hell can you not know why it's banned? just look at it, the cartoons were made during world war 2

  • dude what the fucking hell these shows are fucking horrible and i acctually grew up loving these charecters? what the fuck man fucked up people in the world like donald duck is a fuckin nazi?! now ik what shows to let my kids watch unlike my parents like fucked up man

  • them japs are some mean little fuckers

  • The portrayal of the Japanese is so dead wrong back then and even today. My grandmother is from Japan so I think I should know. It also comes from the false notion that Japanese and Chinese are basically the same... which they're not! They way they portray how the Japanese talk and look reminds me more of the Chinese language. No one knows the difference for some reason... The constantly associate them with each other as the same, like using "Sensei" (Japanese) with Kung-Fu (Chinese martial art)

  • number 2: hater's gonna hate!

  • As for the Donald cartoon. It was only showing he was having a nightmare of being part of the third riech. Then he wakes up. grateful to be in America and to be an American citizen. Why in the hell would something like that be banned?

  • number 3 was in cartoo network 1 year ago :p it isnt banned

  • wow i have never seen so many swastikas in a toon that was made for children xD

    but its hillarious as hell

  • @123456789Anarchy: when cartoons were being made in the 1930s, 40s, 50s they were for moviegoing ADULT audiences.

  • @lukebccb

but they were also made for children right?

well today you have drawn together

back in the 30s donald duck and so on was the hardest shit EVER! xD

  • I laughed my ass off at most of these cartoons

  • The Princess and the Frog was racist. Fcuk that fcuking lighting bug.

  • wow..just uhm wow

  • yay

  • Nobody's work should be banned. At the time of these cartoons, the Nazis were trying to take over the world and Japan dropped bombs on Pearl Harbor. This country has definitely lost its edge. Of course racism is a bad thing, but weren't the Nazis trying for a "Master Race?" And didn't yellow Japan drop bombs on "White" America (despite all its other races and cultures)?

It's history, that was the sentiment at the time.

  • 8:42 Gay Nazi. Lol Gay Nazi

  • Thx for showing this banned cartoons.

in my opinion, they should stay banned for kids because kids can't see the differences between the situation now and 70 years before!

Germans/Austrians aren't Nazis anymore (except some idiots) but some of these cartoons make eventually smaller kids think they are... that's the danger!

We should learn from the past and not do the same sh*t again... So, yes it is positive to see them, but keep the smaller children away...

  • number 1 should not be shown because on nazi

  • @MrKipkila Actually, this song is very insulting to the nazis. Spike Jones did the song originally, and it's funny as hell.

  • Your top two choices aren't banned. They showed Der Fuehrer's Face on Disney Channel, although not very often...

  • @W3551D3 i dont thinks its still banned today but 10 years after WW2 it was banned :)

  • number 3 wasnt banned i dont think because i use to have the dvd of it when i was little

  • I like in the last one they parody Schnitzelbank, which if I remember correctly, was a German-American immigrant song and would likely not be popular in 40s Germany.

  • LOL the last one is so offensive for german people :C

  • @Geraa24

Yep, the Japanese and the Italian guys are clearly German.

  • America is the dumbest nation on the face of the earth! only an idiot would ban cartoons!

  • super duper duper men!

  • Seems a lot of these episodes were banned for referencing Hitler.

  • Holy chet that Bug Bunny one at 4:45 that was messed up.If they toned it down it could have been funny but shit that was just racist.

  • thers just somthing about donald duck saying hail hitler =p

  • i think herr vs hare was banned cuz it had nothing to do with the way hitler and that other guy were portrayed, i think it was cuz they were actually IN IT. :o

  • Learn about spell check please! Your annotation boxes look like an eight year old wrote them.

So what? At the time it was perfectly acceptable to ridicule the germans and nazis and such because it was propaganda for the war. Have you read some of Dr. Seuss' writings from the 1940's?

  • Mel Blanc's vocals for that little Japanese guy cracked me the fuck up.

  • Fresh hare wasn't banned! I saw that episode on Boomerang a couple of years ago!

  • Fresh hare is on tv,but they have censored it and don't see the orginial ending.

  • I saw fresh hare on some public domain DVD, uncut too. Plus, I saw it on Cartoon Network sooo.....The annotation box is wrong.

  • @walrusguyjr I can tell you that maybe i have said it in a wrong way. Fresh hare was made in 1942 and was banned almost 30 years so unlees you saw the cartoon between 1942 and 1972 i am not wrong :)

  • @jesan60 your not right ive seen some of these cartoons before and these cartoons came out way before i was born. and ive seen the whole cartoon no clips or snipits or cuts, the whole cartoons

  • @jesan60 No. It's not completely banned. I saw when I was little. I'm only 18.

  • @jesan60 in the der fuehrer's face hitler looks like a dumb.seriously!

  • @bacovia2004 And your point is?

  • @jesan60 ?What?

  • @bacovia2004 I mean what are you trying to say? is banned for that reason or?

  • @jesan60 not beacuse is looking dumb, but in general it should not show nazi's logo in these cartoons.

  • @bacovia2004 ahh okay :)

  • the 'herr vs hare' porttrays hitler and goering in a satrical way; it is a perfectly acceptable way of portraying one's enemies.

  • did you hear what the bird said at 9:23 hail hitler

  • @pokemonjohnny399

Actually the Nazis said "Heil Hitler."

  • 5:06 - 5:24. lol

  • holy shit the first cartoon was on cartoon network

  • @zzmopful hahah so funny

  • @zzmopful number 2 was... too! X)

  • @zzmopful "Rhapsody Rabbit with Bugs Bunny" was the first cartoon to be exact :)

  • at the end it sounds like Donald is saying "aww fuck" XD

  • How can they have one episode where Donald's pro-Nazi and another where he's Anti-Nazi?

  • @AdiG1 What episode was Donald ever pro-nazi?

  • @Xarcifen Never mind, dude :/ It was all a dream sequence he had about being a Nazi where he was forced to work in an ammo factory

  • @AdiG1 Lol i was wondering if it was that one or not becuase that's the only time Donald was working for Nazi's that i was aware of but it was indeed a dream ;)

  • its stupid that we banned cartoons because they show or talk about nazi's.. people are going to remember what hilter did no matter what... and how come cartoons can have violence but they cant say nazi..kinda odd

  • At 6: 42 they darken the south on the US map...

  • Back when the media actually had some backbone.

    Where did we go wrong?

  • I don't get it, why did they banned the first one of part 2??? is it not okay to make fun of the nazies???

  • I know I'm going to get flamed to hell and back for asking, but I don't suppose there's an mp3 avaliable of the song from "der fuhrers face"? I burst out laughing myself to tears whenever I hear it.

  • man thank you!!! been looking forever for the Herr meets Hare episode!!!! thanks dude!!!

  • 5. of the world war and rassism

    4. rassism too

    3. world war

    2. is a nazi cartoon

    1. is nazi cartoon too

  • I think daffy duck hailing hitler may be a little too much

  • hahahahahaha donald duck is a nazi hahahaha i always new on sum level haha

  • @slevy06 haha it explains everything! =P

  • my cousin was over when his brother sent him this episode and if you watch it all it was banned but in the end it was making fun of hitler

  • it even became an oscar

  • wikipedia says, "Der führers face" was never banned. disney just didn't released it earlier. the cartoon was and is only banned in germany. but its official avaible everywhere since 2004. the dvd is called "On the front lines"

  • Any cartoon that has a swastika is banned, allot of cartoons still portray nazies, for example, their is an episode of Hey Arnold where his grandfather has a war flashback and in it he fights Hitler face to face, but if you watch the episode all the swastikas have been replaced by frowny faces. So I don't think it's because of the cartoons having nazies in them, bit rather the swastikas instead.

  • LOL nips the nip is hilarious

  • I don't get why Spinach for Britain was banned. I guess they didn't want to make Nazis look stupid or something.

  • why der fuehrer's face is banned? its just propaganda

  • For the #1 banned cartoon, a possible reason it was banned would be the portrait of Emperor Hirohito, which depicted him in the stereotype bucktooth and with glasses. Another possible reason is that while it is parodying Nazism, it makes it seem that there is nothing dangerous about the movement.

  • @yowvapaa Spike Jones made his record company nervous with that song. It's nothing, but propaganda. Propaganda has become politically incorrect, and that is why it's now banned. As for the purpose of the parody... which is easier? Being scared by something you may not know everything about? or.. Making fun of something you don't know much about, but scares you?

  • is it wrong that the song about hitler makes me wanna dance?

  • probably cause the chink is yellow

  • I was all depressed up until this guy: 8:42 xD

    I'm sorry, I'm sorry... :I

  • i hate that rabbit

  • so disney was a nazi i knew it

  • Comment removed

  • @SuzakuMalikXemnas well shit yer right woopsy

  • @gta4rulesass sorry i noticed the donald duck thing at the end too late XP

  • @gta4rulesass i remember seeing some video in school about walt disney supporting or meeting hitler...

  • @gta4rulesass well it was actually warner bors

  • i saw the "so called banned" popeye cartoon last week on Boomerang

  • Hahaha! At 9:30, he calls Donald Duck "bastard." XD

  • I have the fresh hare episode one VHS....i don't see what people saw wrong with it....i thought it was pretty fucking funny

  • @kimori676 i kno some ppl jst dont get comedy! its a shame

  • That first one reminded me how bad Popeye was. I love old cartoons, but ugh. Popeye was just so poorly done.

I know "Haters 'gon hate.", but it's just my opinion.

  • these really are not that bad compared to some south park episodes. they are classics though

  • so much naziism lol

  • dont forget at the beginning cartoons were made for adults!!! then they become for children

  • too much hitler and nazi signs, ITS TOO MUCH

  • :-) I can remember seeing most of these on broadcast TV back in the mid '50s. Bugsy was always missing that left turn at Albuquerque, saw that bit in many of his cartoons, standard Bugs Bunny line. Most of the cartoons I saw back then were either pre WWII and stuff done during the war. Later as the '60s came along we started getting newer stuff and the animation was pityfull. I always liked the older ones because of the better animation.

  • this is actually pretty funny lol

  • did the gov ban this when the baby-boomers got all uptight (aka: when they stopped doing drugs) in the 90's... or was it that disney and warner stopped showing it because they realized they couldn't make any money from it and didn't feel like getting sued? i'd like to think it's the first but i'm guessing it's the latter. after all: why bother with 60+ year old cartoons when we have reality TV?

  • Wow. The US is really anal about banning stuff, aren't they?

  • I remember the pop eye one was i was 4 and had no idea what it was until much later

  • what year was fresh hare first shown on t.v.?

  • @mrkoolnerd It was released to theatres on August 22, 1942

  • @jesan60 i saw fresh hare the other day on cartoon network the other day its not banned

  • @SmackdownMasterWWE u might did but i wanna bet they didn't show the whole cartoon. Last in the cartoon some black people dance and sing

  • @jesan60 I saw the whole cartoon with black guys singing many times...

  • @jesan60 racist. you make videos of supposedly banned cartoons but then your calling africans or african americans black. how does that go together?

  • @SmackdownMasterWWE That's right. FRESH HARE isn't banned. Cartoon Network just deleted the blackface minstrel gag.

  • @SmackdownMasterWWE Still is on tv,but they censored the orginial ending to it.

  • The one about the Fuehrer's Face, was apparently known to those who produced MASH since in one episode of the MASH TV show, Alan Alda, did a little routine similar to this. He sang the little song in this cartoon. I had always wondered where that came from.

  • I don't see why these are banned cartoons since it's an accurate depiction of the attitude of the period. Racism and nationalism have always paralleled. Puritanical America can fuck off.

  • #5 wasn't banned until 1999? Are you sure that's not a typo?

  • @CyraUK that is right as far as us goes

  • Hahaha. This is great. Poking fun at the Germans aka Nazis. We need more cartoons like this.

  • Nips Ones R Japs

  • Amusing. I never took any of these stereotypes seriously. Political correctness is something the politicians came up with to manipulate the weak. Unfortunately it seems to have worked.

  • Amusing. I never took any of these stereotypes seriously. Political correctness is something the politicians came up with to manipulate the weak.

  • Amusing.

  • Sorry, I meant Herrman Goering. I don't remember who the fat Nazi was anymore.

  • Ah, the video cut off right before Goebbels screams, "But there IS no Las Vegas in Germany!"

  • I love how at 8:50 you see Mussolini hiding behind the drum saying 'we would leave it if we could!' lol

  • lmao donald a nazi hahaha

  • Fresh Hare was just cut. The only Bugs Bunny cartoon to be outright banned (as far as I know) is All This and Rabbit Stew.

  • herr meets hare- well the nazi's ar monsters. hmm maby the person who banned it is a neo nazi

  • Fresh Hare is not banned I still see it on Boomerang. The ending though,is of course cut.And how it exactly was it racy? Do you mean racist? And about Herr meets Hare no one would ban a cartoon for showing Hitler and Goring as monsters....cause they were. A lot of the cartoons you showed in this countdown in fact were never even banned. Should have done more research bub.

  • Nostalgia, I actually seeing some of these on TV, especially Fresh Hare.

  • i can not believe bugs is in this let alone the number of times he is iin it.That bunny will pay .

  • i can see why "spinach fer britian" is banned it was so F***ing annoying why hitler blew up everything in sight....-_-

  • AT 5:13 BUGS JUMPS INTO DIRT NOT THE HOLE
