The price has risen a lot in 2 years! I talked to them the other day cuz I would be all on board with the price he mentions for custom shop guitars, but for whatever reason, the price for custom shop instruments now starts at $5000+...a lot more than the $1800-$3k that was mentioned in this video. Bummer.
These are really good guitars for their price, and they have their own sound. Bedell is really trying to break into the market, I hope people are open to trying them.
Tom's obviously a nice guy, and his guitars are great. But he needs to brush up his marketing. Solid wood is not all that unique, and referring to a headstock as a "woodstock" is just proving that the burned-out hippie thing won't do anything to win over the players Bedell can and should be reaching via str8 sound and quality craftsmanship. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple, but Tom needs to be better scripted and understand this is not a fishing tackle audience he's trying to reach.
@rlipil haha the woodstock! honestly i have been looking at this one bedell custom and a Lariveé koa back guitar they are similarly priced and both have unique sounds but the bedell definitely has the looks in terms of inlay
i played a great divide guitar the day and am buying one buy the end of the week. for the price it was great could barely tell the difference between the taylor i was looking and the great divide was even 250 dollars less
