That would cut most peoples martgage payment in half (its the high interest that people cant afford). After 8 yrs sell these loans back to the banks. This would revive the economy over night. What if the bail out of $700billion is not enough to patch things? why did you think thousands of Asian companies YANKED their shares after AIG etc. went down. I have a GUT feeling this is the BEGINNING OF THE END! MOVE TO SOUTH AMERICAN - NOT CANADA OR MEXICO. THEY WILL SOON BE UNITED WITH U.S. I.E. RESEARCH "AMERO" CURRENCY!

Inflation is about to spike so damn hard that the prices we've seen now are going to pail in comparison to the pain we feel when foreign investors stop pumping the 2 billion a day we need to keep paying the Juice% on the national debt. The dollar will crash, markets will seize, and we will be in a world of pain. These are scary times we're living in people.

One thing to point out. The bail-out hits you now. It's called inflation and you pay for it almost immediately.
It's a tax in that your $xx,000 amount of saving doesn't buy as much anymore. In the US or abroad.
It isn't just your kids that will pay for it.
