Man! Dr. King could be here today sharing the same thoughts. It's like true human progression was halted when he was assassinated. I believe the Zeitgeist movement will work to educate all, because there is no leader.
Such a great man. His words, although more then 30 years old, still carry so much weight. The words of a past, still echo in the future. Our society does not evolve to the better, but to the worst!
It seems like you are right, but I se it as a battle between old thinking and "new thoughts". We will have a period with more dogmatic reactions that can be violent. I am positive on behalf of the human race in the long run, but shurely it will be bumpy.
"The words of a past, still echo in the future" so true.
@MsMoniqueEvans Don't get me wrong but... its not wise to stick with one solution. Open your mind for other suggestions too. I too support ZM but I do not hold it as the only truth there is
@darkridr25 "Did you ever stop to think about the people we kill? It's always those who tell us to live together in harmony and try to love one another. Jesus, Gandhi, Lincoln, John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Malcolm X, John Lennon. They all said live together in harmony... BAM! Right in the head. Apparently we aren't ready for that yet." ~George Carlin
@Tanoro LOL My favorite comedian, and one of my favorite quotes by him! Well placed. I only wish more people listened to what George Carlin actually said instead of just laughing at his jokes....
Just an absolute great video that I will share. I too hold the values that Dr. King spoke of especially when most don't see. The man is a great example to us all and we should continue his legacy now and forever. EQUALITY
@Santello22 1500% increase: The way I interpreted this, $500000 was the amount spent on the war in 1967 and this figure is the equivalent of $3220000 in 2006. In 2006 $50m was spent on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. 1500% increase of $3.2m is $48m.
I'm not a mathematician, so just point and laugh if I calculated that wrong, but I think the author of this video possibly came to the same calculation. :)

...And what happens to the great men who speak out against war and oppression? They get murdered by those who are threatened by their words.

As much as i want to like the video i wonder.
1500% increase?? How did you come by that figure?
And nonviolent resistance?? During WW2?? Wasn’t the problem that there was total disarmament (in the period before) which in turn caused.....?
The ideal seems good, but what about the implementation? (you better be damm sure it works)

@Santello22 the problem was inaction against an obvious sociopath.

"they are products of the problem rather than causes of the problem"
This mans words have never stopped ringing true.
We have more segregation today than we have ever had in the history of mankind.
It is the time for the Zeitgeist Movement as it was once the time for the civil rights movement ... it is the time, we are well overdue.
