  • @mmmsikim Hellcat, Corsair, Thunderbolt, Invader, Commando, and a few others not so well known.

  • @mmmsikim its the powerplant on the hellcat, p-47, a-26, f4u corsair, f7f tigercat, f8f bearcat, c-46, DC-6. p-61 black widow, and the Lockheed hudson or venture or harpoon. to name a few

  • @SgtGrant23 Also Convair 240 and Martin 404 twin engine passager airliners had the 2800 radial engine.

  • Somebody needs to put a leash on that kid running around before that prop turns him into chum

  • @mmmsikim Also the Corsair and P-47.

  • It is indeed the Hellcats power plant.

  • And many other! like the F4U Corsair, P47 Thunderbolt!

    ;-)

  • AWESOME, way ahead of its time, 1940's

  • the best terrific stuff

  • That was pure power!! Apart from the fact that they seem to have somewhat of a problem with firing up all the cylinders, it sounded awesome!

By the way, that's no Alvis Leonides but it's a P&W R2800, that's why this engine is an awesome goundrun example!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Thanks a lot for the info. I have updated the title and description.

  • Good job!

By the way, if you moved the camera a bit to the left than I would be a part of this footage :-)

  • Great video Hanglands. They should have strapped it to the Sally B! Thanks for sharing.

  • It would tear Sally B apart. MTO power is 2,400 hp (wet) or 2,100 hp (dry) against sally B's Wright R-1820's 1,200 hp.
