Plus video games which you buy at your local store are cheaper for the PC, yet better quality most of time (Like BF3). Meaning PS3 will become more expensive anyway.

@Nyutoraru I built my own PC 3 years ago and it can run BF3 (not to the highest setting) so I understand (and it is still way more expensive, even 500 Euro is). I hate gaming at my desk with a mouse and keyboard. I like sitting in my entertainment room on the couch in front of my huge HD TV. The cost and headache to get the hardware and labor to have a PC in my office that also can game in my entertainment room is not close to being worth it. It's an ergonomics thing for me.

@Nyutoraru Also I bought my PS3 primarily for its blu-ray player, and the PS3 is still one of the best blu-rays on the market for its price class. The game catalog for the PS3 is immeasurably better, too. And the PS3 is not wrought with hackers. Gaming is not just about specs for me. It's about the overall experience. And hands down, PS3 wins. But that's just my preference. And there's nothing wrong with your preference, either. Cheers!

@sonicGTA PC will stay infront of any console, you dont have to buy an new PC. You can upgrade your hardware too. Plus you can connect your pc to your TV too. Also you can play in windowed mode while playing BF3, meaning you can fill BF3 half your (TV) screen and do other stuff at the other half of the screen. Yeah the resolution will stay good from BF3. When the console meets the PC performance, it takes a little time before PC improves itself again.

E.g My PS3 broke down so i played on Online (since my PC sucks) didn't need a good graphics card, all of a sudden i had my PC gaming instincts back (i was a MMO player, and played a bit of CoD and others on PC)

just like you Consoles will catch up but PC will always be a few steps ahead
