  • Thanks friend. This is the best demo for this knot that I've seen.

  • @seewaage Your very welcome I know it will serve you well.

  • DEFTLY.........I LEARNED A NEW WORD TODAY THANK YOU.

Slowed down version request is now on my list of TDD.

  • Got to this vid cuz you told another guy his version wouldn't release afterwards, and ppl should check this vid out to see the proper way. SHIT dude, if you're trying to teach and not just show how deftly you can do it slow down! :) Haha

  • Been going to sea a long time, this is the right way to secure something, good vid.

  • such a fantastic video! What is the last knot at the end called?

  • @sk8ordie0906 The knot at the end is a simple slip knot or sometimes referred to as a bite. Andrew casually uses it around both ropes in this video ,Most times I just put a bite in the single line .The more tension you have the tighter your bite will need to be to hold the tension. Some truckers will tie a half hitch to finish the job or even 2 half hitches. However upon untying the knot you will find using a bite is much easier to release.

  • @iq201 very observant. You must have some experience with knots.

Yes it is the "twisty" that stops the rope from binding up,at least 3 twists in the rope is a must. You can use 4 5 6 7 8 twists whatever you like however it must be at least 3.
