If you're looking for a really good SD DV camera, then I think this is the one you want to buy. It has a lot of manual features (as well automatic ones) so you can really do your own thing. Also, at least here in the Netherlands, it's a pretty cheap camera.

By rendering it as 1280x720 with Sony Vegas, or basically any video editing program.
