had this on a tape a friend of mine made while i was in europe in the late 60's. never heard it before or since until now. great song from a great talent. saw gen in the early 60's. he sounded as good in person as he did in his recordings. thanks for posting it.
I pushed the wrong number on the juke box back in '69 and this became my favorite Gene pitney song. Great......no, I mean GREAT memories of this song. Bolero has its rivals!!!
I thought I knew 90% of the GP songs. But this is one I never heard, and I don't recall him ever mentioning it!
I wonder just where he got the back-up bands to make these recordings, long after the era of recording studio orchestras had passed?
I mean, a gong? trumpets? these were not the Maurice Merry orchestra or Gary Rue combo he traveled with in later years! Did the record label simply provide them?

Haven't heard this one since circa /67. This is a good song..sort of an 'off' lyric in there, but GP, he did it again!!!
