I would still argue she was in the last lag frames, and the shield takes time to come up too.

I advise you to experiment yourself with dsmashing then shielding and see for yourself. you will get a better feel and see that this could not have been shielded

@goateeguy11221122 no you idiot. theres still lag even when shes standing up. if you had better feel for the game you could tell just by looking. and if you want to be nitty about it, you dont need fast reflexes. when he saw the falcon punch and it takes like a full second to complete, he probably held the shield so no fast reflexes are necessary. the shield would have gone immediatly up when the lag was over. by the way, it takes time for the shield to come up.

@deVall3y This game runs at 60 frames per second. That's a level of precision you can't "tell just by looking". To really answer this question for sure, we'd need to find all relevant frame data and figure out exactly when the dsmash started in the video, and when the punch started in the video. The frame rate on youtube is probably about half what it is in real life anyway, so good luck.

@goateeguy11221122 if you had a better feel for the game you would have understood what I mean. the only thing I can suggest you do is go to training mode, dsmash and hold the shield and see how long it takes

@goateeguy11221122 actually when you're focusing in on a match the game slows down, you wont see it frame by frame necessarily, more like animation by animation. The thing is, even with buffering a shield there's time between standing up and the shield coming up, if she had tried to jab it would have clanked at best(timing wise), but since special moves out prioritize a moves the clank was also impossible, not to mention the % difference between a samus jab and a falcon punch.

How long have you been playing LoZ? The bigger travesty (understandably done but) is Link being right handed at all. It doesn't matter in a game like brawl, either way is the same, so it SHOULD stay true to the CHARACTER, not the precedent set by a single game in a long series.
