Genau genommen ist es kein V8, sondern es sind zwei zusammengeschaltete Reihen-Vierzylinder (weil sie eben auf zwei Kurbelwellen laufen und nicht auf einer). Aber das ist natürlich die blanke Klugscheißerei, und es ist natürlich ein tolles Projekt. Daumen hoch!

do you know how the "unit steam engine" works? could you take one apart or explain how the mecanics works? i have a steam boiler but no id how to make my pistons.

TECHNICALLY it's a W8, which is more awesome than a V8. Two facts right there.

@petrolnut While a W8 is on a lot of places cooler then a V8 this is indead a V8 a W8 would have 4 banks of 2 cylinders and this has 2 banks of 4 cylinders.

unbelievable! i've never seen anyone squeeze out an efficiency from steam power!

only if a reliable fuel for a firebox is found. this might end the combustion engine dominancy.

i'm not sure if anyone is testing the so-called 'pneumatic automobiles' using this engine by now.

the builder of the engines stopped production some month ago, as far as i know. maybe you are lucky and find some engines still in the shops.

This is not a V8. In a v8, two rows of cilinders share a crankshaft. This engine consists of two slant in-line engines, with independent crankshafts, coupled by gears.
