@BritishTrainVideos Thanks for your comment. That was the end of it's stint as 35017. When the next VSOE runs in early January Clan Line will be restored to the head of the train.

@robmasterman Thanks Bob it's a pleasure. There's still one trip to cover this year, Tornado to Stratford and then that's it for me for a couple of months. (apart from two VSOE's in Jan) But already i'm looking forward to a feast of steam in 2012.

Another super compilation Martyn, and nice to see a few more enthusiasts out for 35028. It's a shame that 35028 isn't staying as 35017, as I know I would've liked to have seen her in this guise. Thanks for continuing to watch my videos, here's to the next year. @alts1985 Thank You Ashley for your support. I know that's you at Chilworth because I saw your video on the Nat Pres forum. I used to use that bridge until some repair work was done to it and now the wall is far too high for me. I take it you were stood on something and are not 8 foot plus tall? @1Z64 Luckily I got a step ladder earlier this year, has come in very handy a few times! It was still a stretch to see over the top, the images on google map I looked at before I went were before it got re-built! All the best Ashley.

@balmesh Thanks Alan. I certainly agree with your comment. Clan Line was the first engine I videoed back in the mid eighties and we've been together ever since.

Clan Line and the VSOE is my personal favorite. There is an old story behind it why I like this train the most. And thank you Martyn, this brilliant video is a kind of extra Christmas present for me.

Superb Video the shots at Ranmore Common and Buckland are really nice I'm also in your clip at Shalford I was on the other platform filming with a monopod ponytailed guy with rucksack
