@mmzero562 i have a zebra dino and i had my peacock eel for a day before he died :( He went between my filter (undergravel) and there was a space he got to and somehow he managed ti get smushed. :'( but he didnt bother my zebra dino. Im getting another one today but i removed the undergravel filter so it wouldnt happen again. RIP Mochie. (Moe-chi)
Very cool man. Hand feeding isnt a problem with your other fish is it? Im buying a 55 gallon tank tomorrow and its looking like this is going to be my first fish I buy.
Would these eat anything the size of a Tiger Barb? I have 1 Tiger Barb, 2 little Apistos (or Cichlids) and I don't know if it will bother, eat them. They are about an inch long. Would you know?
Hey, I have two peacock eels and they love eating worms from my hands, however I'm kinda scared they'll bite me. If so does it hurt. I also have two African Clawed frogs that eat from my hands but they don't hurt if they bite.
well stick your hand in the tank to where his nose sticks out then put a worm on his nose thats what I do for mine and he started eating on his second day
im torn between getting a peacock or a bichir. im leaning toward peacock because they are a little smaller and they seem less lazy. penny for your thoughts youtube
mine did it on it's first try, is scared the hell outta me though because it sucked it from my hand. but, Noodle Caboodle is loving every Wednesday when he gets his worm ^.^
man i wish mine would do that but i noticed wen i waced the vid he had stripes so i think he could possibly be a striped peacock eel u probly no but jus from my expierience thats wut i think he is so ya i like it!!
A lot of Peacock Eels won't take anything but live food. I guess you got one of the stubborn ones rkn4x4. Next time get some live food for it, and then you can train it to eat the easy stuff. (I'm guessing it died?)
I made sure my tank was set-up with lots of live food living in the substrate.
nice eel. i got a striped peacock eel at petsmart but i cant get him to eat anything. ive had him for about a month and tried flakes, freezedried bloodworms, and frozen blood worms. any suggestions? thanks

it depends on every animal, this peacock eel looks outgoing, and some could be just shy ? it depends on the personality .
