  • Those are great pictures!

  • Dead Can Dance will always be my fave band in this ethereal genre of music. They are absolutely amazing. Some artists may come close, but still haven't found a band who touches me as deep as DCD.

  • @Cherabreena

Your way is 100% copy/paste of mine :)

  • soy fanactica por DCD y com esta versión STOA de cantara me hace irme al infinito.

gracias por trabajar para hacernos felices.

  • I enjoyed it! A darker version but still with a very Dead Can Dance flavor to it. Massive DCD fan myself! Been listening to their stuff for 20 years. Although I've got to agree the vocals at the end were missing, would've been a perfect cover had they added that.

  • i would like to thumbs up for the songs description but i can't

  • i think, this song is beautitul and misteriuos. the perfect convination.

it rememeber me one of my videos*

  • I like more this version!!! I'm composing and playing this song with my group the "New Orazio Symphony"!!

At the moment I don't have video about my version of Cantara but if you want to visit my page in myspace(N.O.S and Derekllllucchi89) or my channel of Youtube you can find some music that I composed about DCD and for my group!!!!

Come to visit us by N.O.S :)

  • q lindo video, me encanta! :)

Las imagenes que seleccionaron son hermosas!

  • THANKS, THANKS and THANKS.

    DCD & STOA

  • I am agree with ROtas's comment, but stoa is an interesting music.

  • I love Stoa, but original version is better. The magic of this song is in the voice of Lisa.

  • What kind of pictures are they and where i could I pick up them?

Great sound, very spiritual- as good as the original one!

    Greets

  • @metamorphose420

    YEAP VERY BEAUTIFUL PICS!!!

  • my favorite cover might be Silent Stream of Godless Elegy

  • This version is more majestic. With the DCD version I envision a lone knight riding through a dewy, twilit wood, in anticipation of evil. In this I see a regal queen all in white, rising from her throne, poised to utter a fatal command.

  • @youraftermyrobotbee: When I read this I envision a person sat a keyboard getting lost in superlatives.

  • An amazing cover of an amazing song. This version is much more melodic and more ethereal sounding than DCD's original, which has an earthly dark twang to it.

  • I love the vocals! but I would also like them to occur in the refrain part :)

Beautiful song, a rare find !!!

  • muszę powiedzieć że jestem pozytywnie zaskoczony tak piękną interpretacją tego monumentalnego utwory

aż chcę poznać więcej Stoa :)

  • Very nice slideshow..Conglatulations.

  • wow..this is a perty neat interpretation. I love DCD and Stoa..never heard this before. Beautiful all the same. :)

  • ♥

  • the original by DCD had a more evil tan to it, but i think this version is very nice!

  • Beautiful track....enchanting!

  • Very nice!!!

  • pplz..this is beaaautifulll ...

dead can dance original or tribute, is always nice to listen

  • nice but not comparable with DCD version....

  • 'sometimes images can do that'

Yeah, sometimes, but not in this case as you used the wrong images.

  • This sucks! The original is WAY better. STOA's music always sounds too synthesizery.

  • Covers never intend to exaclty replicate the original version. I see that this one is a beautiful piece that keeps the core sense of the song. Please dont "suck" just because you dont like something.

  • OK! I'll try "not to suck".The wording in the last sentence of your message is HILARIOUS!!!. Anyway, I don't care for this version or the group that does it because the instrumentation sounds to synthesizery. Not that I have I problem with synthesizers, it's just STOA musics tries to fool the listener by using synth sounds that try to mimic real ones. Sounds cheap to me, like the music for a made for television sci fi movie.

And I promise "not to suck" when I don't like something. Ha Ha Ha!!!

  • while I don't think even stoa would disagree with you that DCD's version is better, you don't have to be a douche.

  • brilliant!

  • Very nice. The images fit pretty well with the style of the song.

  • Did Stoa make this tribute to Dead Can Dance? What´s teh name of this CD? Thanks!

  • check up "Summoning Of The Muse - A Tribute To Dead Can Dance" :)

  • Ohhh... :o

  • an auditive orgasm

    i don't have words...

    just...

    beautiful...

  • Ι like this version, but what I dont like is that the song is finishing earlier than the original one, without the final vocals..

  • You can find it on a digipack record "The Lotus Eaters - Tribute To Dead Can Dance" :)

  • amazing version of cantara

    thank you for posting this

by the way,do you know were I can find this version?

  • thank you so much..

if you have other great songs like this one, please let me know.

    greetings

  • I'm sorry but I made a mistake - the Stoa's version of Cantara you can find on a another DcD tribute record - Summoning Of The Muse :] on Lotus Eaters you can find 2 versions of Cantara 1. by DANNY LILKER (BRUTAL TRUTH) but I don't like it and 2.GREEN CARNATION which is very interesting. About other great songs - check out Anttimatter - Balck Sun [DCD cover] or Empheran Sun - Avatar [DCD cover also].

    greetings :)
