Is it true that lifting heavy weights can stutnt your growth? I'm 16 and I've heard quite a bit that lifting weights while you're still growing can have an effect on your growth. I really want to gain weight, but I also don't want to effect my growth...

@sabreen004 its progressively slows down as you get older but you can keep your metabolism to stay fast by eating small meals but spread out through the day.. there are other ways too..
Hey! Thanks for the videos, I find them very helpfull. I was wondering about the "lift heavy" part. I`m not much of a gym type guy. I preffer swimming and i visit the pool 5 time per week for sessions about 40-60 min. depending on how much I push myself. Do you think that swimming will do the job, or do I MUST go to the gym to lift weights? Thanks :)
it takes time guys, sometimes it means taking time away from urself having fun, u need to be committed most of all, if u are not then dont bother wasting your time, eat right and working out at least 3 or 4 times a week will get the job done, do not eat junk food, stay or your diet and stick to it, I'm 5"11 156 and I to am looking to gain 10 pounds or so

@foreverr896 you'll keep growing for years, don't worry about it.
What you can do is eat everything you can while you're growing, preferably some vegetables and meat every day, and work out. Pushups, pullups and crunches should do it. I would wait with hitting the weights for a year or two.
Your info is like something for machines. But we are Human. Why should I drink a shake after my workout and not as much as whatever I can get m hands on like grass twigs and leaves that's what elephants eat look how fat they are ? Think about it .....

Gorillas are also very strong naturally and their strength dominates the world strongest men who has trained all their life. We train and do weights because we are built different, we can adapt where animals can't.

another question, (might be a stupid one) how important is bone structure when it comes to putting on weight? if i have a thin bone structure, is this why its so hard to put on weight?

that if you starve your self your metabolism slows down (i wouldn't recommend it)
and i think it was you who said if you eat a lot your metabolism speeds up to compensate
