Estou lendo a história de Moises através deste grande homem de Deus, Charles R. Swindoll. Deus continue usando ele para nos levar mais proximos de Deus!
I have read all these books and I can promise you that they are very good. They point you to God . This new book about Jesus must be good. Swindoll has a gift of making the scripture come alive and I love him even though I have never met him. He is a great man.
I found Chuck Swindoll on my car radio by "accident". Now I listen to Chuck each day driving to work. At one point my car radio would not play any other station. God works in mysterious ways! Praise God & Bless Chuck.
who can talk about jesus life that the disciples in the bible in Like and mark etc ...we do not need Chuck Swindoll telling us about it we have The BIBLE.....and by the way we do not got save thanks to Chuck or anybody else but ONLY BY GOD.
I love this man of God! I have read "PAsame otro ladrillo", "El despertar de la gracia" y ahora estoy leyendo "Desafio a servir", tremendo!! Lo recomiendo, la diferencia entre ser "siervo" o creerselo. Bendiciones!!
I am Brazilian, live in Brazil, South America. Makes over 20 years read the books of the Reverend Charles Swindoll, and I have been blessed. Now I'm rereading "FiRME SEUS VALORES" of his own. In his books, when I see God using his servant, the "Chuck" Swindoll. Maybe one day I had the privilege to know the brother Swindoll and his blessed family.

May the ash and decay of all the dead children that committed suicide over your wretched kinds guilt trip ramblings fill your mouth until it chokes out the life of your poisonous breath.
For someone like myself who has a possession problem having to battle these demons especially the idiot called beezebub because I was stupid to get mixed up with the occult, Jesus Christ has lessoned my pain because I accept him as my Lord and Savior. When you battle satan and you ask him why he doesn't bother people who worship him, his reply is 'he already has you and waits for you to die so he can torment you." See Annilese Michel video,
On p. 145 of The Grace Awakening in the name of "grace" Swindoll teaches that a believer may "return to a carnal lifestyle-drinking heavily, chasing women, cursing, the whole ugly scene" and be welcomed into heaven while refusing to repent.
From audio tape SLD 1A "Shedding Light On Your Dark Side" Swindoll says:
"Regardless of how you choose to live you can't live so bad that God says to you, 'You're no longer mine.'"
What do you think a wolf in sheep's clothing will look like-a wolf?
So are you saying when there is unconfessed sin in the life of a believer that their name is erased from the book of life? Then, when their sin is confessed, can their name be re-written? Then if I have I sin again, my salvation is again revoked until this sin is confessed?
Our love for Christ calls us to live a life worthy of the calling, I agree. But was the prodigal son disowned for a wayward lifestyle? "My son has returned," the Father said, not "now he can again become my son."
No, that's not what I'm saying. I am saying that Swindoll teaches that a professing believer may "return to a carnal lifestyle-drinking heavily, chasing women, cursing, the whole ugly scene" and be welcomed into heaven while refusing to repent.
If this is true (as you seem to believe) what would you consider abusing grace...or "turning grace into license" as Jude warned? I shutter to think if carnal, drunken, womanizing doesn't do it!!
1 John 1;5-9 should contain the answer that you have been seeking.
If You truly Love Jesus, then you will not intentionly Sin, However if you do sin, confess it, and ask for forgiveness and be forgiven. When you spoke of the prodigal son not being disowned, you answered your own question, the son had to return in order to be forgiven.
He even said to His father, " I am not worthy to be called your son, make me like a hired hand" He repented.
Learn to Discern. Chuck is not "puffed up" by himself. Jesus Christ is truly the center of his message! He is scripturally correct, and a true teacher of the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Jesus taught us how to know a false prophet, and how to know true ones by their fruit. Chuck has passed with flying colors. He is teaching us God's own character! Which is selfless and loving and humble in every way!
Humble in every way? Are you Chuck's wife?Glad that you have the abilty to know "fruit" through the radio and books. I, however, prefer to look a bit deeper Cathy. If such "discernment" is solid perhaps every actor who writes well or looks good on TV has good fruit. Forgive me if I don't put much stock in your opinions.
Blessings! You should take the board from your own eye, before you judge him.Your critics take his words out of context. I have never heard him teach those things and I listen to him every day. Besides,if you don't agree with him you should find someone else to listen to.(Paul Washer?) Don't waste God's time running someone down to other christians. He gets the important message of Jesus out. I respect his teachings and insight. You and your critic are mistaken.I am speaking as a friend in Christ.
Because you don't recognize the deceptions of Swindoll certainly does not mean that they are not there. That you do not recognize them simply means that you are as deceived as those who have taught you.
Any Jehovahs witness or Mormon will heartily tell you that they have never seen error in their teachers-yet they are lost.
I agree Jehovahs and Mormon are lost,is because they do good works without faith, instead of faith with good works. Thats righteousness. God knows everyones heart better than they do. So please, "We have all come short of the Glory of God." God made me righteous when He forgave me,I didn't become righteous by anything I did! But I am not a child of the devil because I made a mistake yesterday or today. I am still forgiven and righteous in God's eyes! Do you understand? Are you "born again?"
Again, you are deceived. This error (that we are "righteous in God's eyes in spite of our sin) was around in John's day too. He said:
"Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous" (I John 3:6-7).
Don't you get tired of saying things that are directly refuted by scripture?
You are a nut case, you don't know Jesus at all. I am so thankful that I can't brag about being righteous. Jesus said: "The most righteous of men are like filthy rags!" We need to walk with Jesus every day so He can show us what we are doing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!He uses our mistakes to teach us! He is like a father chastening his child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, please leave me in peace and go judge yourself. Ps 46;10 "Be still and know that I am God." Leave me alone....
Leave you alone? You insist on responding (multiple times to the smae post). I show you where you're notions directly contradict scripture (without excessive use of !!!!!!!!) and I'm a nut? Again your use of scripture is wrong Cathy.
Jesus didn't say that, Paul did in Romans 3. And he wasn't refering to genuine Christians who trusted Christ. He referred to the Pharisee type who thought who thought they were righteous by works and did not need the grace of God.
You think you are perfect. You are a hypocrite. For I am just fine with the relationship I have with Jesus Christ, and neither you or principalities can take that or my salvation from me. So you might as well leave me alone. I will only listen to the leading of the Lord Jesus Christ in my life, not you! For I do not rely on men, but only the truth of my Creator. You either misunderstand me or the scriptures, or both, which is it? I can't believe how many wierdos are on this Youtube! Even you!
Never have I personally attacked or insulted you Cathy, nor have used a single disparaging epithet as you have-yet I'm the hypocrite? You admit to abusing the grace of God by sinning everyday yet I'm the hypocrite?
You will not listen to Jesus because you do not know this language-the scriptures.
You say: "I'm righteous in spite of what I do." Yet the bible says: "let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous."
Cathy, again, according to scripture you are deceived.
Swindoll's is a false grace message. He even misrepresents the Reformation and Great Awakening regarding "Grace." Google: "Open Letter to Chuck Swindoll" or "Swindoll + Reformation" and you'll see every statement Bullhorm made substantiated with source information.
The message can often be lost in translation for confusion is the goal of the adversary but the bottom line is simple. No one goes to the father except through the son. Yes there are times within everyone when they may say yes to the father but they do no do his will. I cannot say who is right or wrong because I would be thinking as man does and not how god thinks. Besides I don't have that authority to judge. Keep a pure heart and leave the rest up to God
I can't accept Chuck Swindoll as being faithful to the word anymore. He plainly teaches that a professing believer may turn their backs on Christ or choose to live and die in disobedience to Christ or even live as bad as they like and yet be welcomed into eternal paradise. If this isn't a false grace message I don't know what would qualify.
I have studied Dr. Swindoll's books and Sunday sermons. Never have I seen anything that would lead to what you have stated. Whenever you study the scriptures you must at least keep in mind one golden rules. "Text without context is pretext for heresy". I recommend you reflect on this rule and analyze whatever it was that led you in to such disbelieve. You will see that there is no foundation for you statement, that you simply did not understand what Dr. Swindoll was saying.
I too have studied Swindoll's books and BullhornGuy describes his teaching accurately. Swindoll's is a false grace message. He even misrepresents the Reformation and Great Awakening. Google: "Open Letter to Chuck Swindoll" or "Swindoll + Reformation" and you'll see every statement Bullhorm made substantiated with source information.
On p. 145 of The Grace Awakening in the name of "grace" Swindoll teaches that a believer may "return to a carnal lifestyle-drinking heavily, chasing women, cursing, the whole ugly scene" and be welcomed into heaven while refusing to repent.

"Regardless of how you choose to live you can't live so bad that God says to you, 'You're no longer mine.'"
What do you think a wolf in sheep's clothing will look like-a wolf?
You have twisted the meaning of that verse. It means that what God starts,he finishes. You can backslide, all christians have, but you are always brought back willingly to God's salvation and forgiveness. Everyone comes short of the glory of God. If you have never accepted Christ, you are in danger of hell. We are not condemed by the disobedience of God's commandments, we are condemed because we willingly break them and reject the forgiveness of Jesus Christ on the Cross, willingly going to hell.
All Christians have backslidden? Laughable. Aside from the power of Christ to preserve His own, its not even possible to know such a thing. Again, forgive me if disregard your ramblings.
Perhaps you ought to leave the teaching to someone who actually reads the bible and believes that Christ is "able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy" (Jude 24).
I'm sorry, maybe you are perfect,I'm not! By GRACE I am saved, because of faith! I didn't earn it! I have been a christian all my life, and now I take it seriously!God never forsaked me.He waited patiently for me!He is my shepard! He keeps me near. I will always sin, unwillingly, or I would be perfect. But because I am forgiven by His blood,He presents me faultless.God is doing the work in me,I am just willing. Also,He gives His Holy Spirit to comfort me,to guide and keep me on His path.Halleluja!
Cathy, I know you can't see it, but what proclaim as gospel truth is but deception. The bible does not teach that a Christian will always sin. If you were really saved by grace you would stop it.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God... 1 John 3:9-10
You my friend are missing the whole point. I am talking about being born in a sinful world, because of Adam, we are cursed! We sin! God is working in us to perfect us! But it doesn't come over night! In the meantime, while God is perfecting us, we are forgiven for any sin we have committed in the past, present, and future! Otherwise Jesus would have to die over and over! We do repent when we slip, or get something wrong. But we are not perfect the minute we are saved. No, we have to learn from sin.
Again, you tell of what you have always heard in church, but such is not taught in the bible. You claim: "we are forgiven for any sin we have committed in the past, present, and future!" BUT scripture teaches:
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God."
Nobody is preforgiven for future sin. Completely antiscriptural.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
One can not confess until sin is committed. Sin is not preforgiven. I know its hard to believe that todays popular teachers are wrong, but this is not new. This is the story of the scriptures: popular teachers promise peace and life to those who refuse to repent and even cloak thier lies with misunderstood scripture.
Then I guess you are going to hell. Cause you sin every day. My mother has parkinsons. She has been a devoted Christian all her life. She loves the Lord. No one in my family our whole life has ever heard my mother swear. Now she has demencia very bad. She gets mad at my father and calls him an "a--hole" Thats not very righteous, is it? But she doesn't know what she is saying. Thank God she was saved before this happened to her. But you say, she will go to hell?
Again, you misrepresent me Cathy. Where did I ever even intimate that a woman who suffers from dementia will go to hell because she swore? Ridiculous. This topic is a bit involved, but God holds us accountable for what is within in our power: Jesus said:
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment" (Mark 12:30).
And as for me sinning every day. Ridiculous. I have trusted Christ and I depend on His grace to save me from sin and to keep me from falling.
Cathy...you don't even know me. Do you see how you have been duped into believing that sin is inevitable and that and that it can't be avoided? Can't you see how this insults Christ and how it emasculates the grace of God?
Funny...you believe that God's grace can get you all the way to heaven, but it isn't powerful enough to keep you from sin. Sad.
Thats exactly what I have been trying to tell you! I love the Lord Jesus! Therefore, I hate sin. Thats when you know you are saved. I don't want to sin! I hate it! But being human, I do make mistakes and sin! But I am still saved if I would happen to die before I repent of that sin. You should not analize every word that comes out of a persons mouth, for that is judgeing them, and that is wrong. I hate arguing about God!
I hate to to give this video to my friends because your pushing a book--it's faithless. How can you urge people to buy something? I can't give them this.
Many times I have found myself driving along the highway with only my thoughts to keep me company, giving refelection upon my life and trying to find meaning in the direction it's going. How will I account for what has been given freely to me I ask. Will God be pleased or disappointed when I stand before him in all his glory.I turn on the radio to CS.I sense the passion & conviction in his voice.I know there is truth in what he feels compelled to say. I hear Chucks messege and think to myself...
I don't think we have to guess as to whether or not God will be pleased.
"Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." 1 John 3:21-22
Because of the false grace message so prevelant today many of us dream that we may have confidence toward God beacause of "grace" though we do not do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
How amazingly graceful God is. You can feel within your heart at times the Lord calling saying, "Pay attention child...through these words it is I that is speaking to you. And even though you know your own wrongdoings which offend me, I love you and wish to strenghten you with glory so that you may in return glorify thy Father. Thanks CS for using IFL to keep people in tune with the conscience of the Lord that abides within them & helping them resist temptaion which could result in peril.Ushine
I don't know about this comment. Swindoll teaches some pretty scary stuff that many aren't aware of. Google: "open letter to chuck swindoll" I was shocked at what Swindoll actually teaches, greater still, at what we accept as orthodox.
He has srengthened my foundation in Christ. One shouldnt compare ministers. They are here to compliment one another in fullfilling the great commission. The Holy Spirit has given the right gifts to the person fit for the call. God doensnt show favouritism. End of the day its not about chuck or whoeverelse but His Son Jesus.period.Cornelius Malaysia
Praise God! Whatever you do TRUST JESUS and lean on him for all your needs. 1 Peter 4:12 and 1 Peter 1:7 Cling to the verses, hold on to them. Lord, father I praise you and I ask in the name of Jesus that you would guide and protect this person, Show him your righteousness Give him the power to proclaim your name no matter who is around. AMEN

Where on earth did you get those beliefs from any of Chuck Swindoll's teachings?
gilbertrr 3 years ago
You say that as if you are appalled by the thought. If I show you the quotes will you agree that Swindoll abuses grace and misleads the masses?
We'll see...
All teachings are direct from The Grace Awakening:
On p. 144 Swindoll teaches that a believer may "choose the path of disobedience" to Christ and yet be welcomed into paradise.

You have twisted the meaning of that verse. It means that what God starts,he finishes. You can backslide, all christians have, but you are always brought back willingly to God's salvation and forgiveness. Everyone comes short of the glory of God. If you have never accepted Christ, you are in danger of hell. We are not condemed by the disobedience of God's commandments, we are condemed because we willingly break them and reject the forgiveness of Jesus Christ on the Cross, willingly going to hell.
cathy356 3 years ago

Also,He gives His Holy Spirit to comfort me,to guide and keep me on His path.Halleluja!
cathy356 3 years ago
Cathy, I know you can't see it, but what proclaim as gospel truth is but deception. The bible does not teach that a Christian will always sin. If you were really saved by grace you would stop it.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God... 1 John 3:9-10
BullhornGuy 3 years ago
You my friend are missing the whole point. I am talking about being born in a sinful world, because of Adam, we are cursed! We sin! God is working in us to perfect us! But it doesn't come over night! In the meantime, while God is perfecting us, we are forgiven for any sin we have committed in the past, present, and future! Otherwise Jesus would have to die over and over! We do repent when we slip, or get something wrong. But we are not perfect the minute we are saved. No, we have to learn from sin.
cathy356 3 years ago
Again, you tell of what you have always heard in church, but such is not taught in the bible. You claim: "we are forgiven for any sin we have committed in the past, present, and future!" BUT scripture teaches:
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God."
Nobody is preforgiven for future sin. Completely antiscriptural.
-continued-
BullhornGuy 3 years ago
This is why John taught his fellow Christians:

But you say, she will go to hell?
cathy356 3 years ago
Again, you misrepresent me Cathy. Where did I ever even intimate that a woman who suffers from dementia will go to hell because she swore? Ridiculous. This topic is a bit involved, but God holds us accountable for what is within in our power: Jesus said:
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment" (Mark 12:30).
We are accountable only according to our ability.
BullhornGuy 3 years ago
And as for me sinning every day. Ridiculous. I have trusted Christ and I depend on His grace to save me from sin and to keep me from falling.
Cathy...you don't even know me. Do you see how you have been duped into believing that sin is inevitable and that and that it can't be avoided? Can't you see how this insults Christ and how it emasculates the grace of God?
Funny...you believe that God's grace can get you all the way to heaven, but it isn't powerful enough to keep you from sin. Sad.
BullhornGuy 3 years ago

I hear Chucks messege and think to myself...
woodydog123 3 years ago
I don't think we have to guess as to whether or not God will be pleased.
"Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." 1 John 3:21-22
Because of the false grace message so prevelant today many of us dream that we may have confidence toward God beacause of "grace" though we do not do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
BullhornGuy 3 years ago
