There's something about the ipad that makes me feel a little queezy. Maybe it's because it's not really addressing a need, it's just a gadget for the coffee table - and I hate that because it means you probably want to show it off more than actually use it. But I'm sure there are people that actually benefit from it right?

Apple......ideas are getting sadder than Microsoft's. At least microsoft comes out with the Xbox and halo. 499 for a ipad or a laptop? No brainer. Ipad is just a large ipod, nothing more. It can't even run flash. Apple is getting greedier and less creative every day. A ipad can't compete with a windows laptop.

@aztrorisk i admit IOS is kind of boring but can you get 70,000 apps specifically made for your laptop or net-book not to mention its thin and light compared to them has a touch screen :)

@aztrorisk Well... we're well into 2011 and it's almost 2012, and I guess you've already figured out you were plainly wrong. It's amazing how the iPad (and tablets in general) does more by actually doing less and avoiding traditional overfeaturing by engineers. Even though the "tablet" concept goes back to the 90's and even the 80's, Apple's merit was actually making the tablet market a viable and competitive market. Microsoft may create great products, but Apple creates MARKETS

A device that allows to change the home screen image we may call it wallpaper..is that something phenomenal that should have been mentioned by Steve jobs.
