Good little video. I love pseudoscorpions, and it's nice to see solid close-up footage like this. I only wish there were a lot more videos like this around.
@epb471 Hi, I did it by sight: I spread out the soil of one shopping bag inside a bathtub and then carefully browsed through one small amount of soil after another. Successfully found one specimen. You can also try Tullgren Funnels or similar methods. You can also look for bigger species under and on the surface of tree bark. Look for Neobisium etc. also under stones or under pieces of wood on the ground...
@wirthstef Thank you for this detailed information. I get the feeling they are hard to find and this confirms it! Did you ever find the bark species? Also have you ever tried to catch them in the winter time? Supposedly some species are active under the snow in the leaf litter in the winter and some hibernate. I think the definitive text on pseudoscorpions was written by a German :-)
@epb471 Hi, thanks for you comment. I am glad that you like this video. The pseudoscorpion was indeed found in leaf litter, from a special area in Berlin around a lake - a biological colleague told me that he often found pseudoscorpions there. I needed to collect one plastic bag of leafs to discover this one pseudoscorpion specimen. Bigger species can be also found under the bark of trees...

Did you find it in the leaf litter by sight or did you use the Tullgren funnel technique. I have not been fortunate enough to find one yet.
