Wow, Rock fucking falls. I was driving through on vacation there and got mad at my mom and ran away and got lost there. I ran through the neighborhood near that strip of high way and ended up sleeping next to a garage. I finally found my mom the next morning but through that all, I realized I loved it there. I live in Jersey but I'll retire in Rock Falls.

It sure does! You should visit the River Ebro in Spain where these enormous monsters are commonly found! If you manage to find one of these, get ready because many fishermen mostly had a bad time battling these monsters!
that platform where the guy in blue is fishing off of with the yellow rails, half the thing fell into the river this year a few months back and they have yet to do ANYTHING at all about it
wow... fishin at the bottom of a dam... it's amazing to know how big a catfish can be caught in USA. I'm from UK where there are huge catfish about 1.5m long and weighing up to 100 lbs. Elsewhere in Europe like in France and Spain, this kind of catfish is double the size, around a whopping 3m long and about over 200lbs in weight. U can all imagine how it would feel when fishin one of these whoppers when u come to fish in huge European rivers!
Yea I fish there as well. I had a 40 poud flat head. some small walleye. And an 8 pound smallie. On the long side. I was fishing with my BPS extreme Pfluger Preident Combo and wat throwing hair jigs, spinners, worms, cranks, and roadrunner. The big bass finally hit a 1/2 ounce Roadrunner. I $hit myself when i saw it and got my thumb in her mouth. Threw her on the scale and she weighed 8.10 I released her so shes out there now.
lucky i wish i had a boat me and my pops usually waid out to the other side of the river up against the wall and we fish that with road runners and nail a lot of smallies and then we walk down river to thoes real shallow rapids and fish that with jigs and roadrunners
It was just below the landing at the high school. there is a shallow gravel bar and it is real deep right in front of that. Its almost across the landing on the south side also, and thats where we ended up when we netted it.
great fishing spot for channel catfish! my uncle caught a 22 pound Flathead

Definetly! There are some beastly slob smallies in there. As well as cats. I've yet to see big walleye. But i'm sure they are in there. Have you?

Thats a big flathead, 37 pounds! I caught a 36 pounder on 6 pound test up at Dixon one february while walleye fishing.
