  • Anyone saying to quit complaining or shut up and enjoy the music needs to quit complaining about how others need to quit complaining or shut up and enjoy the music (yes i am being ironic to point out how ironic it is that you tell others to shut the fuck up and such and are actually complaining about people who are complaining). Point made? People are allowed to have opinions even dickheads lol. It's OK to dislike or like a song and have a discussion. Might even be important.

  • God they sold out. Especially since all their fucking songs are about fuck labels and fuck bands that sell out

  • I love the people who sing "still save us all" a bar too early. I do that.

  • I love the small "still save us all" a bar too early. I still do that if I don't think about it.

  • wow this crowd and group of fans is awesome. almost 100% knew all the lyrics to a great AM! song

  • New Wave sucked. I admit that, but white crosses was pretty good cd. Quit complaining about what others do with their lives and just enjoy music.

  • "Don't lose touch"???? AM! ; look at this and look at what you've become and tell us who lost touch with whom...

  • 2:46

  • World Inferno people? Was World Inferno Friendship Society there?

  • Fuckin awesome

  • I saw them in Peoria in a church basement before they went on Fat and they played for 25 people just like at this show. I still love them but nothing will equal the intensity of those early shows.

  • Haha the crowd did all the singing, they just needed the guitar and drums as a backing track :P

  • high 5 guy at the end killed it

  • does anyone else think that white crosses is almost a improvement over new wave....will never come near the old stuff like his demo tape or RAR but still

  • @HasteKilledCreativty this statement is fully true. its definitely better than new wave. i like almost every song except a select few -- and you know which ones i'm talking about...but rapid decompression is fucking epic. and so is high pressure low. but the demo tapes and RAR are as raw as punk gets.

  • Fucking epic!

If only they still played shows like these...

  • Against me rules FTW!!!! anarchy for life

  • It's amazing how jason concentrates even though there is a half naked girl next to him. That's a real musician.

  • i wish p eople would stop saying punk's not dead. shit is so cliche and retarded

  • What I would've given to go to this show....

  • Now this is a show.

  • This video still gives me a mild case of the chills. So good.

  • So fucking amazing!

  • Punk's not dead

  • yeah it is.

  • @cuceritorul2 yea but against me is dead- LONG LIVE REINVENTING AXLE ROSE!!!!!!, WHAT HAPPENED U FUCKS???

  • @INPUT2punx they toured A LOT and released a bunch of cds. so the fuck what if they matured and changed their sound a little bit. i saw them live for the third time recently and they still put on one hell of a show. you fuck

  • =D yayy

  • This fucking rules.

  • Thats funny as hell...glad you noticed it!!!

  • ""if i was a girl who took off my shirt at the show i'd have the common courtesy to shave my pits haha"" comments like this only goes to show the crowd that AM! has cartered to in the recent past....only concerened about appearances, and negelecting the message....you deserve each other.

  • Lighten up, Francis.

  • Well said.

  • Punks or not, its nice to shave ya pits.

  • What do you mean "nice"? Nice for whom? Nice for what purpose? Is it nice to buy in to the prevailing notions of aesthetics? is it nice to support the corporate interests that peddle their disposable blades and lotions? is it nice to support the companies that test these "beauty" products on animals? is it nice to support the companies that sell these products that contaminate the planet?

  • you are quite possibly the biggest elitist douchebag on the planet.

get over yourself, mr. joe punk rock.

  • I certainly think we should all try to be elitists when it comes to moral integrity.....you make it sound as if its a 'bad' thing.

  • agreed but that isnt moral integrity. lol. its that womans choice if she wants to shave her pits or not. everyone shut the fuck up. if you cant focus on her tits and are looking at her pits you may have an issue

  • gee, it's nice to see that people still listen to music without deriving any meaning or message from it. and hell, it's clearly elitist to point out when someone is oppressing others by subjecting them to false standards of beauty! thanks, keep making sure punk rock is never a threat.

  • i hope it's just the lighting.....if i was a girl who took off my shirt at the show i'd have the common courtesy to shave my pits haha. awesome video

  • thanks for pointing that out, you've ruined the video for me now haha

  • waiting for the "TOTALLY FRENCH!!??!?!oneone! comments now.

  • jesus... this would be nuts to be completely surround by the crowd and have their voices overpower yours while you're playing a concert.

  • I assume by 'nuts' you meant 'fucking amazing', right?

  • theres sum freaky lookin people in that crowd

  • it's either armpit hair or it's the lack of light either way.......great song.

  • look really closely are 1:47 through 1:49 the girl in the bra has armpit hair O.o

(yes I was looking at her boobies the whole vid.)

  • Looks like a lack of light to me.

  • yeh it's a possibility but it's funnier to just say she has it.

  • hooters! :D

  • where was this?!?

  • this song is amazing

  • suck me sideways, i wish i could go to an Against Me! show like this

  • they just dont happen like this anymore :(

  • what do you mean?

  • I mean that they dont put on shows like this anymore. the crowd just doesnt get as involved

  • Ahh.. yeah =/

  • yeah actually here in orlando at the black box there was a show like this.. except theey were only surrounded on 3 sides

  • me 2

  • yeah man that dude was zooming right on in there! HAH way to go man!!

  • I like how the main character of this video is the topless hippy-punkster. I love music.

  • Yeah eh she stands out the most shes fucking jamming it.. but whatever its all good in the AM! Hood XDDDDD

  • haha you can't even see the band. awesome.

  • god this whole show is awesome

  • lmao@ 2:49, zoom up on shirtless girl.

  • Correction "Shirtless Girl With Pit-Hair"

  • zomfg

  • hahahaha

  • thats just punk rock. and shes hotter now then ever before.

  • It's shows like this that makes me regret only being able to see them at festivals and arenas.

  • In shows like this, you get up close to the band.

  • Reinventing Axl Rose I believe.

  • its from crime

  • you're both right!

  • 'Given the chance I would stay in this chours forever' ....such a beautiful lyric

  • Man Great I Would Of Killed Someone To Be There.. 5/5 Love you Tom

  • aw man! played support for them when I was 15 in dublin 4 years ago! It was in this small little hall. Could only really fit 100-150 and place was packed! THey were all really nice guys! the bassist was askin me to hang with him. I was the bass player of my band and it was fuckin amazin being asked to hang out with one of your idols!!

    AMAZIN!

  • This is a great video.

Going to Warped Tour for Against me! and the aggrolites,

FUCK ALL THAT OTHER EMO SHIT.

  • dude. reel big fish and prtest the hero, the briggs, street dogs, pennywise

  • Eww @ PTH , Pennywise. "I know it wasnt dwayne or fletcher who set up those barricades like a stake in the heart."-NoFx

  • I didn't knew them until I saw them last friday in Luxemburg as opener for Dropkick Murphys and I was blown away great Live Band. So Saturday I downloaded New Wave and I like it a lot. And now as I'm searching for older material I'm discovering that they were even better before new wave!!! I already love them...hope to see them again

  • Damn I wish I was there so muuuch

  • AM! didn't sell out but shit do I miss these shows!!

    -juliO!

  • I need to get out and see these guys live one of these days..maybe at the warped tour 08..who knows! Speaking of exclusive content, the new Against Me! Fanatics page is up featuring Against Me Media content brought to you by KYTE. Check it out at myspace dot com slash againstmefanatics

    worth checking out!

  • *sigh*...back when they were good

  • i miss those days.

  • I am going to see them tonight. Tickets are $15. :)

  • they didnt even sell out, any band would have done what they did

  • and no, NOT any band would do what they did. In fact, any punk band with any respect for their cause would do the exact opposite.

  • jeez. if they like what they're doing, then that's all that matters. they can make whatever kind of music they want, even if it isn't like the old stuff. if you don't like the new shit, then don't listen to it.

  • i just read alot of hate comments fer against me! selling out

    umm guys Stop the hating

yes they sold out to a major record lable but who cares how does this shit effect your life?really?

and dont start that bull shit i only pay 5 bux to see great shows

Against Me! is known for playing FREE shows and Benefit concerts

    God Damn IT!

  • like yes they use to write about not selling out and there hypocrite's fer doing that but yer raping hall yer hate into something that doesnt really matter are they runing the country?are they yer momy? do they pay yer fucking bills?NO

let them do W.E. they want as long as the musics good im good

  • I agree, WHO CARES IF THEYVE SOLD OUT?! It's the songs that matter! Not the financial gain, and the new stuff is awesome so who cares if they've sold out?!

  • First of all, their is something called fan loyalty. Selling out is the one thing that would make almost any true against me! fan run the other way. The lyrics have always been what's important with against me! and now they're shallow and barely worth listening to. All you new against me! fans, enjoy listening to "catchy" tunes by a fallen band.

Secondly, their new music is SHIT. Listen to their old stuff and compare it to now. Fucking embarrassing is what it is...

  • Ok seriously you idiot have you read the lyrics. It's story telling just like it always have been. Go listen to Pints of Guiness and Thrash Unreal and tell me the lyric structure is really that much different. now I will admidt their new stuff is not as good as the old, but at least their not just putting out the same song over and over.

  • who cares? are u in the band up there playin there ass off? no your not so every one just shut the fuck up and listen to whatever the hell they want to.

  • If they joined a major label got rich and still made great music then i wouldn't give two shits. the reason the actual fans are complaining is because not only are they breaking every promise they ever made to us, theyre doing it with shitty music. Listen to this and then listen to stop! it makes me cringe

  • agreed.

    tomgabelusedtobegod...

  • agreed.

  • @tomgabelisgod I bet this guy wishes he could change his screen name.

  • @tomgabelisgod Stop! is a fucking terrible song, but they still do make good music, nothing like what Reinventing Axl Rose was but still pretty decent. Go listen to Bamboo Bones or Up The Cuts.

  • @tomgabelisgod cry me a river.... it is still good music

  • @tomgabelisgod which one are you saying is shitty?

  • @tomgabelisgod

    I couldn't say it better

  • @tomgabelisgod Too fucking right. They were the band they wanted in the song Reinventing axl rose. Now they've threw it all away for money.

  • @tomgabelisgod im so sorry they didnt turn out to be the band you wanted them to be. you act like they're big rock stars now or something. just shut the fuck up and enjoy the god damn music you asshole.

  • No, the new stuff isn't awesome. It's okay. And for a band with an explicitly political, anti-corporate stance (ex. "What We Worked For"), it is selling out. They're still one of the better bands around, but they're barely a shadow of what they were.

  • if you just look at the albums thats true, but if you see em in a small venue, they areb the same old band. and they are really down to earth guys

  • i still love you against me!

  • Has anybody read the lyrics to We Did It All For Don? It pretty much sums up why theyre doing what theyre doing: The band for them is just a means to an end. Theyre in it for the experience, nothing more. So they changed their minds about being anarchists. Maybe you should all stop bitching pick up a guitar and be the band you wish Against Me were. I wonder how many anarchists who posted on this video realise they just contributed to venture capitalism by visiting this corporate owned site?

  • Tom Gabel eats a pine cone before every show. Seriously. It's how they get their sound.

  • isnt the band bombarded be elbowws and shit?

    They must find taht hard

  • their new music doesn't compare to their old music. against me!

  • sellouts or not, this song is moving, FUCK!

  • Agreed.

  • Umm...they haven't claimed to be anarchists in quite some time. They were young kids...and anarchy felt right at the time. Now they've grown up, matured, and have seen that anarchy isn't an answer.

  • oh man the old good stuff

  • Yeah, theres the AM! that i know and love... miss them...

  • they're selling out because they've bought into the corporate crap they were preaching against in their old stuff.

  • you're an idiot. even musicians require money to survive.

  • name calling on cyber space is even more idiotic. no?

they were obviously making money before. they were a pretty well known band for being underground. now they're just making more money that's all.

  • Yeah, but that doesn't require to be on MTV, Conan, and the Jimmy Kimmel show when you used to be against all that shit. It's one thing to need money, it's ok to need money, but you shouldn't go against what you believe to attain it.

  • if someone asked me to play on a live television show with a cool host for millions of people to hear my message then I would say yes...selling out would be if they said "Drink coke, eat Pizza hut, and join the NRA"

since when is playing music on a bigger scale selling out?

  • when the band doesnt like the media, talk shows or MTV but still plays on those shows, and by listening to their older music it is apparent that the band doesn't like those broadcasts.

  • can you please tell me the exact dates in which they played on a media, talk show or mtv

  • They have done appearances on Fuse and MTV2, they are signed to the same label as Mandy Moore. They were an anarchopunk band and they signed to fucking a major label and have a song with a Teagen and Sara whore. New against me is shit against me.

  • When they say in their songs, for example "Unprotected sex with multiple partners" that those who sign upp with big music corporations are being tricked by the way they work and are helping capitalism and huge companies to take advantage of other, while later signing with MTV and start doing big expensive concert when they in "Reinventing Axl Rose" said that they only need food and someplace to rest, and that that was how misicians really should work. then id say its selling out..

  • read the lyrics to reinventing axl rose. that's why they're selling out. they've betrayed the things that they once stood for, the scene that they promised they would never leave. if you want to get big, don't write about staying small.

  • and read the lyrics to rock'n roll bullshit

  • that song doesn't have anything to do about being big. it's about the spectacle of modern rock. and however insightful lyrics am! might write, they are not going to get across to a crowd of a million kids, half of whom see them during a fest. small venues with intimate settings are the only places where true anarchist equality can be reached. try going up and dancing on the stage at an am! show now. i'll put money down that you'll be thrown out and the band won't say a word.

  • what i was meaning was another way against me! music has changed, the fact that whenever i try to listen to thrash unreal i just think of "The chorus to this nights song is a predicted disgust.

A bootstrap appeal to the light of the T.V."

  • i'm still not getting your point. however, the lyric that you brought up shows the shift in their music. it started on "turn those clapping hand..." back in the day and then turned into all of "searching." their subject matter has turned from being about external issues and fun within the scene to being about internal struggles and personal dilemmas. guess that's what happens when you go against what you stand for and start spending all your money on coke.

  • NO one understands the concept of "selling out" it is when the band is not just doing it for the music then it isn't art no more. Against Me are still doing it for the music

  • i get what your saying man, selling out isnt signing with a major record label, but signing with a brand name product to promote(i.e. pepsi, coke, mcdonalds etc.)

  • where and when was this video shot?

  • who cares about "selling out", all bands sell out of disapear, selling out is not the problem in my mind, if someone is going to claim to be an anarchist then they should probably avoid falling prey to the highth of capatialism within their chosen field, nothing more retard than using anarchy to sell anything, "ha they think its funny, turning rebellion into money"

  • I'd like to scream loud with them

  • that looks like one amazing show. my fav song by against me!

  • yea i miss old against me =[

  • lat i saw they were playing at comon grounds in gville, really big huh

  • Regardless if they play it or not..it's still not the same

  • They don't play songs like this anymore. I remember I yelled out for them to play Burn and they just laughed.

  • uhh i saw them 3 months ago and they played this and impact...they dont play burn out of respect for kevin (there old drummer)

  • They've actually been playing stuff like Impact ,"tonight we're gonna give it 35%" and "shit stroll" MORE since they "made it", I think as a kick back to the old fans who haven't turned into pricks crying about selling out.

  • i see buners point but against me still has great ideas and just cuz a lot of peeple like them doesnt mean against me is conforming to them but maybe vice versa cuz peeple are dumb fucks and wanna be cool with other cliques.

  • hmm bands change

they dont use sponsors to get filthy rich

    they are just bigger

im sure tom isn't greedy/stupid enough to sign away creative control to their major label

Sire is a decent enough label

  • I hear you buner but at the same time who are you to judge anyone?... Didnt againt me! give you the thought that it didnt matter who or what you look like its all about the music regardless of what other people want to think or say. Against me! is still the greatest band ever so fuck off

  • SO sick

  • And there you will find eass2010987 with a hard 13 inch cock crammed up his ass.

  • Whoa! This is a live concert! Thanks

  • not everyone is ian makaye. and you wanna start getting on people for changing. try ian makaye himself.

wheres minor threat and their sXe now?

people change and so does music

take it for what it is

    good fucking music.

  • minor threat and ian mackaye never promoted straightedge and he hates what it has become now. and you're right about music minor threat changed into fugazi and then now into the evens, but all three bands ian was in kept their principles. If against me! were another band I could care less but it's depressing seeing them turn into the band they preached against.

  • you hit it dead on. It is sad to hear them on the radio and stuff now. Their older original material will always be legendary,it just seems like they are an average pop band now, the very things they set out to destroy...

  • I agree. I wish they were the old against me again :(

  • the creeper with the camera kept zooming in on the girl without a shirt on

  • hahaha they'll only play arenas now?

    idiots

  • no they dont play only arenas now. theyve played in like two there whole careers i believe.

    idiot

  • they still have great music, if they want to tour all around the world and have more opportunities, this is how it has to be, look past the cash man cuz yer missin out and bein' hasty. Against me! fuckin' rocks. just take the music for what it is, the rest is just simple economics. IF you choose not to, why don't you fall back into your dumb "individualistic" clique, and keep thinkin' the world revolves around your bullshit idealism.

  • fugazi. played around the world without selling out for a million dollars. all ages shows. 7 dollars most. fuck you if you think you need money to make good music and please large crowds. don't assume i'm part of some "individualistic" clique, you don't even know me. i like against me! too and i have the fucking right to be mad that they wrote a song like reinventing axel rose and the way they chose to go with their careers.

  • Against Me! deserves to be rich and famous.

you deserve an ass whooping. alright how about this:

    Against Me! - $14.50

    The Mars Volta - $47.50

    You - cheap as hell

  • all of you guys don't know shit, I go to fucking shows not concerts you dumb fucks. you're not the better fan bc you have fucking money and you don't care about spending 20 bucks. I pay 5 dollars to see 5 or 6 bands, man fuck you and your rock star bullshit.

  • I like buner's attitude

  • It's amusing that you act as if they actually got that one million dollars. When a record company gives a band that kind of cash almost every single penny of it goes to financing the tours and the records. Have you seen the band stop touring and making records? Have you seen them sign away creative control?

  • As for RAR, he was just a kid then, and that's an idealistic song, it's not meant to be taken as "THIS IS WHO WE ARE!" I guess you have your right to be angry, everyone does, but maybe you ought to figure out what reasons you have first.

  • Ya gotta make a livin' somehow, I'm sure you'd sign a million dollar contract if someone offered it to you, so don't gimme that "sell-out" bullshit, it only allows them to write more shit. just looking at the money like that is dismissive, it doesn't mean that music isn't still big to them, it just means that they've become more popular, and their is nothin' wrong with that...

  • eh, fuck off. Against Me! plays sooooo many shows like this still! me and my friend had the most amazing time ever at a SXSW show they played for fucking FREE! and did anyone of you hear about that secret show they played at some random bar with a bunch of skin heads? yadda yadda.

  • too bad they'll never play shows like these anymore, only arenas because theyre all about money now.

  • I seen them 3 times in the last 6 months for 15 dorrars each which is not all about money. Maybe you should look into these things before dissing one of the greatest bands ever.

  • uhh i go to 5 dollar shows you cunt, against me! shouldn't even play reinventing axl rose anymore, "our arenas are bookstores and basements across the underground america" bullshit. don't try to tell me what's not all about money, 15 dollars is still steep if you claim to be for the kids. look up the smell if you want to know a true all ages show.

  • Don't call me a cunt just because you are cheap and can't spange 15 buck to see, against me, the bronx, mastadon, and punk rock kareoke with mike ness. you're trying to preach to the wrong person about the true for the kids bands. I've seen more bands play free shows or up to 7 dollars. it takes you five damn minutes to spange 15 dollars. plus at venues a good chunk of the money goes to said venue. just learn yourself you ignorant bastard.
