No, the new stuff isn't awesome. It's okay. And for a band with an explicitly political, anti-corporate stance (ex. "What We Worked For"), it is selling out. They're still one of the better bands around, but they're barely a shadow of what they were.

No, the new stuff isn't awesome. It's okay. And for a band with an explicitly political, anti-corporate stance (ex. "What We Worked For"), it is selling out. They're still one of the better bands around, but they're barely a shadow of what they were.

i'm still not getting your point. however, the lyric that you brought up shows the shift in their music. it started on "turn those clapping hand..." back in the day and then turned into all of "searching." their subject matter has turned from being about external issues and fun within the scene to being about internal struggles and personal dilemmas. guess that's what happens when you go against what you stand for and start spending all your money on coke.
