Thanks god racing is as safe as it is today. I'm as big a race fan as you'll find but even I don't think I could watch it in this era in which death was such a normal part of the culture. Now a days you would never see the dashboard ripped out of the car like this. Its a miracle he survived when so much of the impact was centered so close to him. RIP to the marshall
Le Mans is never red flagged unless the circut is blocked. It is an endurance race. Even in 1955 when the worst accident in motorsport history happened the race carried on
I agree with the driver, why was there now freakin' red flag thrown out for that? It's absurd to let it go on while they are dealing with the wreckage.
@aftermathsample305 fuck sake man no it dont. yeah money is good but not when somebody just died. u really need to see a counciler so something, you twat
Yea thats why when a major company is guilty of lost lives, they offer "compensation" to help you deal with your loss lol, you can believe what you want dude... thats just how it is!
@joelmafonso for sure? which one would it be? if there only would be the first one the topspeed before the kink would be nearly as high as it was in the late 80s and if there only would be the second one the drivers could easily lose control on the straight because its bumpy as hell. so one chicane is not enough i think. the speeds would be too fast... and i think it doesnt really matter for the show if they run 400km/h or 340km/h, but for saftey it does!
Yeah, for sure. No one ever wants to see massive accidents and drivers loosing their lives... it was an imperative that they added the two chicanes to prevent the cars from hitting nearly 390 Km/h before that "kink" at the end of Mulsanne that section. John could of easily lost his life. R.I.P to the marshall who was killed.
speed kills...again

Truly brought the drama, atmosphere and excitement of motor racing. So dangerous, yet so addictive for driver and spectator alike.

Really not sure that as a driver i would have been too happy accelerating back up to 220mph+ speeds having just run my tyres over all that debris.
