is this song a cover? i've always thought it doesn't sound very 'fleetwoodmac-like'. it's included in the compilation 'fleetwood mad - greatest hits' (the one with the white flower on green background) but the booklet doesn't have much information on the songwriters for every song and stuff like that.
This song has Lindsey Buckingham stamped all over it, like the Mirage album. he was the main man, and if you check out Peacekeeper, it was like a throw back to Lindsey in the 80's.
Fleetwood Mac is probably my favorite Rock band, even more than Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, the Stones, and Floyd. The critics were always trying to typecast them as a pop group but they were more than that and definitely rock 'n roll.
What made them so interesting, to me at least, is that for a group that did well in the mainstream 1970s and 1980s,is that they were so weird. I mean they really were weird.
Favourite Mac song. - Lindsey sounded like a woman in this one though, and when he left, Christine sang it the very same during the "Behind The Mask" tour and Mirage is my all time fav album of theirs as well.
Christine looks 80's hot in this, and Lindsey's "Gary Glitter" look was very in with male rockers in the early New Wave 80's. The set has the look of an early/mid 60's American Bandstand show which was "in" in the early 1980's as well. I love Stevie's 1960's chick look in this banging the tambourine, and Joh McVie looks the best he ever did.

Never seen this video before. The video, like the song, highlights how self centered LB was/is. Actually, neither Chris and certainly not Stevie, sing on this song. Stevie sang on NONE of LB's Tusk or Mirage songs. What a jerk he could be.
LB could certainly be a jerk at times. But Stevie's absence from Mirage was basically because she was in rehab. She was barely present for the making of that album. Even on albums where she sings on Lindsey's songs, like on Say You Will, she often only showed up to dub some backups on the already-finished song. They each had their personality issues, I'd say.
Stevie did not go to rehab until 5 years after Mirage was released. She actually cut short her hugely successful Bella Donna solo tour to go record Mirage with FM in France. The result was her vocals on 4 songs, 3 of which were her own.

Love the album, love the song, never seen this before. Three incredible songwriters in one band, it's awesome they lasted as long as they did. This song, like so many others shows the spectrum of THE MAC!

Mirage was a terrible album. Only a handful of songs were any good like this and Gypsy. Defo not their best work.

Blimey! I was only 2 years old when this was shot! I just wanna point out that Stevie Nicks looks luuurvley, like a cute little fairy hehe! She was born in 1948 so shed be older than my mum now tho! Terrible aint it haha! ;-)

Stevie is beautiful every album Stevies writen has gne platinum, shes the one still touring and writing new stuff thats good, shes the one that attracted new fans to Fleetwood Mac and Dreams was hte only #1 hit the mac ever had so I HARDLY think Stevies the loser, She has always been a strong woman even with ;lindsey She was the one who worked three jobs while he just stayed home and played on the guitar all day. Stevies the one who came out the winner in all the fights they had.

hehe. yeah sorry about all of that. but i'm totally a stevie fan. i'm going to st louis on the june 13th so i'm really pumped. i wouldn't go as far as to say that lindsey sucks though. i don't really care for his lyrics but stevie's lyrics+lindsey's guitar and arranging skills=unbelievable! they're a great team. there's no arguing that. maybe everyone will come around and do another reunion! ;]

is this song a cover? i've always thought it doesn't sound very 'fleetwoodmac-like'. it's included in the compilation 'fleetwood mad - greatest hits' (the one with the white flower on green background) but the booklet doesn't have much information on the songwriters for every song and stuff like that.
either way... 'oh diane' is a lovely song. <3

This song has Lindsey Buckingham stamped all over it, like the Mirage album. he was the main man, and if you check out Peacekeeper, it was like a throw back to Lindsey in the 80's.

Fleetwood Mac is probably my favorite Rock band, even more than Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, the Stones, and Floyd. The critics were always trying to typecast them as a pop group but they were more than that and definitely rock 'n roll.
What made them so interesting, to me at least, is that for a group that did well in the mainstream 1970s and 1980s,is that they were so weird. I mean they really were weird.

Favourite Mac song. - Lindsey sounded like a woman in this one though, and when he left, Christine sang it the very same during the "Behind The Mask" tour and Mirage is my all time fav album of theirs as well.

Christine looks 80's hot in this, and Lindsey's "Gary Glitter" look was very in with male rockers in the early New Wave 80's. The set has the look of an early/mid 60's American Bandstand show which was "in" in the early 1980's as well. I love Stevie's 1960's chick look in this banging the tambourine, and Joh McVie looks the best he ever did.

I'ts almost as they let him have his way and played his song. But, I like the song, and Lindsey. the music sounds like the recording, and most of the singing does too, except for the beginning.

Never seen this video before. The video, like the song, highlights how self centered LB was/is. Actually, neither Chris and certainly not Stevie, sing on this song. Stevie sang on NONE of LB's Tusk or Mirage songs. What a jerk he could be.

LB could certainly be a jerk at times. But Stevie's absence from Mirage was basically because she was in rehab. She was barely present for the making of that album. Even on albums where she sings on Lindsey's songs, like on Say You Will, she often only showed up to dub some backups on the already-finished song. They each had their personality issues, I'd say.

Stevie did not go to rehab until 5 years after Mirage was released. She actually cut short her hugely successful Bella Donna solo tour to go record Mirage with FM in France. The result was her vocals on 4 songs, 3 of which were her own.
