I had surface piercings done just like this. 4 weeks later they still werent healed. I moved & went to a big city & went to a professional & he said I'll charge you $40 for all four if you'll just take those out & let me put dermals in. So i took them out & he put 4 right over the scarring of the ones that rejected. It hurt like hell, more less the scarring made it worse. But it was worth it. I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant & the only problem I am having at the moment is that they are sore.

i REALLY wanna get these done, I got my belly button pierced, and it barley phased me. how much do you think these would hurt me?

Omg how the hell do this piercer do the surface? In Europe we use metallic surfaces and not plastic ones :S I got my surface on my hip 2 days ago and it's already healed.

Micro dermals are not the same as Surfaces... I also got one, and micro dermals heal much slower dan surfaces because the skin has to grow on the dermal ... :S

@SergiBiatchx Well in America we use silicone and surgical steel. All the information by the way your giving is so wrong I know because I've been working at a tattoo.piercing parlor for now 3yrs.

@23musicismylife I'm not saying that Americans don't know how they do things! I was just trying to say that we, Europeans, do piercings differently and I never had any troubles by getting my piercings with surgical steel. It's okay if you've been doing piercings for 3 years now :) I'm not judging you or the way you do your job.

Anyway Still don't see what information was wrong. It's a fact that the skin grows into the micro dermal anchor, or not? :) another fact, surface not = dermal. ;)

i did my own and i have had it for about two weeks and it didnt hurt at all . the swelling has gone down already and it look great . i have a video up of me doing it go to my page !

gooood i want these soo much!!! -- but i'm still fucking scared bout it, anyone know how long it takes to heal, wearing them on the surface and having them rubb on your shirt and stuff?

And it did´nt hurt so much that I thought. And Dermals stays in the skin how long you want. (you can take them out too the place you did take them). And I think the diffrent biggest diffrent is that Surface grows out after 2 years. I think.

youre lucky ur piercer was so nice.. i like the piercings but i have a feeling my body would reject them.. nice playboy bunny sticker tan thing lol.. they never work for me

micro durmals are $50 each.. so it was $200 total.

@itsallaboutdancin28 Depending on where you go. The prices vary from shop to shop. I've seen dermals cost as low as $20 to as high as $60. My hip piercings were $240 all together at Dr. Jack's. Totally worth it, he did an amazing job && I've had them for a year now.

some ppl are lucky and they won't surface.. but that wasn't the case for me..

i got micro durmals done like two weeks ago over the scar from these surface piercings..

i deff recommend durmals over suface piercings

& i agree; doing it yourself probably isn't a very good idea..

i have 17 piercings;

my nose, spider bites on my lip, 5 on my left ear and my daith, 4 on my right ear and my tragus, my belly button and durmals on my hips..

My friends had her hip piercings in for 8 months and they never got infected until they got caught on her shorts one night and swelled up.

She's getting them redone soon, I think getting them through scare tissue would hurt.

And dude who wants to do it thereselves, that doesnt make you tough, just stupid..

i have my lip done too, twice actaully.. getting my hips done hurt a lot more.. but it wasn't that bad..

yeah, i only had mine for 3 1/2 months.. you have to eventually take them out because they surface.. i've had them out since september and there's still scars

your hips hurt A LOT more. but not really much more then getting your belly button done.
