  • Explosions in the Sky = Classical Music on Steroids

  • This is by far the shortest song these guys have ever made. 3:30 is like, an interlude for them lol. Short but sweet :)

  • Funny how this is the shortest song these guys have ever made, yet its also one of the best. 22 dislikes? Some people are just ignorant.

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E ; ^ ]

  • 21 people have trembling hands.

  • @DaintySmilee those....lil pusses

  • @DaintySmilee Yeah, they were trembling so much that they accidentally clicked Dislike instead of Like.

  • I know every word to this album, it's crazy

  • This is the porn for my ears.

  • takes me somewhere !

  • if the world was coming to a peaceful end, this song would be triumphantly playing in the background.

  • is that them saying hot cold over and over ?

  • fucks... so good? 20 people that are crazy! who can´t enjoy the word silence? fuck... This is so good...

  • Explosions in the Sky has proven that the songs with no words always seem to say far, far more than the ones that do.

  • @CrimsonFury82 Agreed. Instrumentals are so under rated. Very few of my friends will listen to instrumentals, they want everything spelled out to them. It's easy to just sing 'my girlfriend left me I'm sad' but it's something else to convey emotion through notes alone.

  • Muy buen video!

Para los que quieren leer una crónica copada del disco:

  • I sang this song during karaoke the other night.

    I rocked the house.

  • @ChillyBunchkins iseewutudidthere

  • @ChillyBunchkins HAHAHAH Thats Hilarious.

  • I love this song, my favorite of the album I think next to Last Known Surroundings but that alarm like sound in the beginning gets me a little, it sounds like a dog barking lol

  • Viewer 149K!

  • Think of you guys often!

  • A lot of the comments on Explosions In The Sky videos are really chessey >,>

  • Just found an awesome instrumental post-rock band and realized the chord progression, or bass line or whatever you wanna call it sounds JUST like the second part of Yes by Coldplay!! It's a different key and it's slightly different rhythmitised - but come on! Can't listen to it anymore without humming along in Chris Martins insanely bright falsetto track...fml

  • @FrikyrkoFrida I just listened to them both at the exact same time and you should try it! They sound like they belong together, they don't clash when they're played together, and EITS adds to this song :D

(But I still like EITS better) Awesome though!

  • Respond to this video... Thankfully I can still listen to this without coldplay in mind YESSS! hehe

  • eits are still pretty amazing, but while they're popolarity grows, they look to me as they're out of ideas.. this album isn't as brilliant as the others imho.. still one of the best bands out there tho., :)

  • Hey guys, am I the only one who thinks that have seen the the image from the disk cover before? I mean, even before seeing it in the disk cover...

  • I know what I'll be listening to from now on when I'm doing any kind of art ..so chill

  • this is absolutely glorious music....

  • This is the kind of music i live for

  • God I hate all these stupid "thumbs up if " comments like who the fuck cares .... thumbs up if you agree

  • @neilington904 you're a genius

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of CTFxC!

  • @CwalkVido CTFxC ftw! dude, :D

  • @TheDieqo yaaaaaaa woooooo!

  • so hip i dont even

  • Oh my god, this is sooo good.

  • @HxcTufty u can still be immature and rotten...

  • @sbsmiley whatever works for you man i dont care anyway.

  • @HxcTufty ur comment is immature just like you.

  • @sbsmiley hopefully i wont get mature and rotten.

  • @sbsmiley @HxcTufty

Just quit it, and enjoy this mind blowing music.

  • nothing compared to their earlier albums, 'the earth is not a cold dead place' springs to mind. this is just better than average post rock as appose to a genre leading band now

  • You're underrated.

  • a i like this 0_o and its rock....thats doesnt happen much (well an less it queen ) ima buy it

  • Album of the year 2011. And best live act of 2011, in my opinion.

    .

  • What a good song! as I heard the first 15 seconds I already liked it!

  • one of my favourite drummers

  • What's up, Windells session 1 !!!

  • Yeee-Haaa !!

  • Why does this song have more views than the other tracks on the new album?? doesn't really do it justice in comparison

  • @brice797 It could be because it's only 3 and a half minutes long; rather than devote about 8 minutes to a first time listen, people get an idea of what their music sounds like in less than half that time. Just a hypothesis...

  • i put as my status on aim as, "take care, take care, take care."

he replied with "if only, if only."

  • Anyone feel like it didn't end right? I loved the build up but it just kinda fell off the face of the earth or something.

Really loved it as it played though :) Especially nice that it was under four minutes 'cause my attention span sucks lol.

  • Sounds kind of like that Paramore Vampire song thing, the intro guitar part anyways...this is the first Explosions track I have listened to, just heard of them today. Long time Sigur Ros fan here.

  • more like explosion in my pants!

  • holy shit the drumming

  • listening to these was a amazing experience. I'm replaying

  • explosions in the sky is more than a band, its a feeling.

  • The cd is very good, so buy the cd and support the band

  • With "Trembling Hands" i sent the "Postcard from 1952" to hopefully convince her to "Let Me Back In" and show that i have "Human Qualities" unmatched, if she doesn't accept me, "Be Comfortable, Creature" and she will be my "Last Known Surroundings" of true love.

  • @BuschGardens2010 Oh, that is very rich my friend!!!! I automatically like you.

  • @BuschGardens2010 a true poet

  • @BuschGardens2010

last sentence sounds kinda ghey..but the rest is alright!

  • @BuschGardens2010 cool dude :)

  • @BuschGardens2010

Yeah the "Be Comfortable Creature" and "Last Known Surroundings" part doesn't flow well. But I love when people combine song titles to form a story :) nice job.

  • @BuschGardens2010 I hope you are a girl cause this was too fuckin gay man.

  • @HxcTufty it's one of the top comments so I guess a lot of people are "too fuckin gay", man.

  • @ericmsandoval top comments are always gay

  • @HxcTufty I wish so bad your comment became the top comment. That would define irony.

  • @HxcTufty SAMMMMEE

  • @HxcTufty ha, now your comment is gay, too! :D

    // awesome song. *-*

  • @HxcTufty we all like eits here and we're hating on people so CHARUTE

  • @HxcTufty Now your Gay... Then ill be!! :D

  • @HxcTufty or those whores that agree with the second comment that is bashing the first highest comment in order to receive thumbs as well...............I agree with you. thumb me up if you like thumbs up your ass.

  • @HxcTufty LOL UR GHEY. LOL

  • @HxcTufty yes thats true . ahaha

  • @HxcTufty like yours...

  • @HxcTufty <.<

  • @HxcTufty i love you

  • @BuschGardens2010 what, the.....hell man your amazing.

  • @BuschGardens2010 awwww love this!

  • @BuschGardens2010 normally, when people make those kind of comments that combine the song names, it usually annoys me. but you my friend, your different. in a good way(: no homo

  • @BuschGardens2010 - This is fucking retarded buddy. Makes me ashamed to be a fan of something you're a fan of.

  • @BuschGardens2010 Oh, shut it. This is neither clever nor funny.

  • @stormcorrosion that is not this is

dont mean to be a douche

  • @BuschGardens2010 you thought of that too!!! awesome, man.

  • ..wtf. e_e; this is nothing like their old stuff..sigh..a disappointment. :\

  • @NovaFingers

give it time, let an album grow on you, if things were to stay the same it would become boring and i think that contradicts the essense of explosions in the sky

  • @NovaFingers Who the fuck sets out to do the same album over and over?

  • @ABSINTHE2012 slayer.

  • From 2:10 till the end of the song, im in extacy. One of the greatest crescendo's in music i have ever heard.

  • sounds really similar to Oh My Heart, by Mother Mother. What with the guitar line and the "oh's".

    really powerful song though.

  • to kingofmars2010--for sure. I totally agree "if Philip Glass was a rocker"

  • without the "uhs" this would be huwesome.

  • i am really liking it. i can see why others are more lukewarm on this track though. but me personally i really love it

  • This song is free on amazon right now!

  • You should really review the Death Grips album.

  • WHAT! Voices!

  • @ck675 There's other songs with voices in it. But mainly their more experimental stuff. Like the Rescue album.

  • @ck675 Also the Have You Passed Through This Night? of Those Who Tell The Truth...

  • ...if Philip Glass was a rocker...

  • what is there to whine about? this tune is immense.

  • 1:25.... my life just took a turn...

  • This is different but really good. Instead of their usual soundscapes this sounds more like a jam.

  • I've just found out about the new album and had a major shock to the system followed by a serious fanboy moment! This could possibly be the happiest day of the year. It awesome enough when I got to see Mogwai in Bristol in February and now this. If Sigur Ros or My Bloody Valentine release something this year I'm probably gonna start crying endlessly with joy. So happy! :D

  • I love it.

  • EITS is absolutely my #6 favorite artist of all time and I do personally think this is the weakest song on the album and one of my least favorite by them.

When the song first released I didn't care for it because:

    - Too short

    - The "oh oh oh oh" in the first half is kind of annoying.

    - The last 45 seconds or so are just too busy. With a group like EITS sometimes less is more. The cascading cymbals get a bit overbearing.

That said, EITS is amazing and I love all 5 other songs off Take Care^3.

  • Ha I can fed see the resemblence to untitled ...

  • The drumming in this is soooo good. Saw them live the other day ... what a show!

  • Any song by this band is COMPLETELY AMAZING! And on a totally different level. True Musicians, something you don't find often. So leave your bullshit on another bands page if you want to say something negative cause it only makes you sound like a talentless person who knows very little about the art and sound of music...EXPLOSIONS ENCORE!!!!!!

  • i love EITS but this song is annoying

  • i'm the only one that think that this song is very similar to "untitled" by Interpol?... BTW i'm in love with this song... I can feel every emotion without a word. FANTASTIC.

  • YES

  • 2 weeks and 1 day till it's released :)

  • I saw these guys on Wideeye.org !

  • All post rock songs are shorter and more to the point than they were five years ago. Does this mean they're becoming pop post rock? Also, what happens when these songs become so condensed that they have hooks? Or catchy hooks? At what point does post rock come half circle and become regular rock? Please continue to evolve EitS, I want answers.

  • @putonyourjoepants

I remember reading somewhere that EiTS said they've always been a "rock" band. So, stop complaining. They've never said they were post. Another thing, there's no such thing as post, really. It's just whatever the band members want to do. Bands don't owe fans anything, they don't have to make music. They make music because they want to, and they do what they want. I would expect them to change their style. Don't be such a kid.

  • @putonyourjoepants you dont know what you are talking about.... not ALL post rock songs are shorter... check out mogwai, emperor godspeed, red sparrows, russian circles,.... etc etc even older explosions... LONG ASS SONGS

  • @putonyourjoepants lol don't worry about those other dudes. Talk about flipping someone's words ass backwards. I get what you are trying to say. I agree that post rock as a genre is very narrow and limited in terms of how it is defined. Maybe that's why the bands that are most associated with the term are trying to distance themselves from the normal stereotypes.

  • finally!

  • this song is way too good, gets me pumped to go skateboarding! whoever says this is their worst song has to be insane, because this is probably one of their best imo.

  • sick tune

  • haters gonna hate

  • try kammerflimmer kollektief or crippled black phoenix for quality post rock

  • Probably my favorite song off this album. Actually, they're all my favorite.

  • «Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh...». I have no doubt. The WORST Explosions In the Sky song.

  • what a lyrics! great

  • BAAAW this is different from their previous albums, bawwwww i hate it, the album and the band now sucks, baaaaw,

    bitches gonna bitch

  • @TheAntediluvian1 you're such a whiny creature, how old are you? 10? if you don't like it, don't listen to it .

  • @spiderelly um yea i used to listen to explosion in the sky since 1999 when they were underground

now they went mainstream and look what happened!!

  • @TheAntediluvian1 it's their choice, isn't it? but i don't think that a band that made such great music can possibly suck, every band has it's ups and downs, and the true fans are the ones that are there no matter what.

  • @spiderelly i disagree but i 'll just blabber without saying anything to my defense in order to confuse you,

they are now plain rock not post rock, oh media what have you done to them etc.

  • @spiderelly it was (not so) obviously (after all) an ironical self-mocking joke directed to those who complain about EITS slight change of style or whatever, as were my answers ('cept this one)

    :P

  • @TheAntediluvian1 next time put some "..." to make it more obviously ;) just in case another dumb person like me considers you a kid and it's not that smart to see the obvious.

  • @spiderelly I'll be sure to do that,

now let's ride in the sunset with the Post-rock bus and drink some alcoholic beverages while we sing along to EITS songs!

  • @TheAntediluvian1 haha, love the "sing along" comment. I have tix to their April 6th radio city show, saw them at summer stage last yr too and I can't wait.

  • Meaning, this track is unbelievably good. A break from their normal super selves. People think this is differently bad from their pas stuff but I think it's a change of pace and good because I know the rest of the album will be epic. Those that hate on this, are you really EIT fans?? Gotta be kiddin' me.

  • I'm down with everyone having their own opinion. But not all the time.

  • I listen to this song every day and it gets better every time. EITS is pure perfection.

  • This is a really sweet song!!

  • Mr Ryan Davis, did not not say "Uh. Uh. Uh" in reference to stabbing in the face and neck.

    "No I did not"

    Yer'onour!

  • Mr Ryan Davis, did not not say "Uh. Uh. Uh" in reference to stabbing in the face and neck.

    "No I did not"

    Yer'onour!

  • Why the hell did they force a 15 minute song to be 3 minutes and 31 seconds

  • @hornology why the hell not haha, still a good song

  • What the hell is 'uh'?

  • 2:08 !

  • I've been waiting for this album since 2007.
